They also now have pizza. I was super excited to try the new items and unfortunately they weren't a hit. The Shawarma wrap was disappointing; not enough fillings, lacked flavor and wrap was dry and crumbly and not in a desired flaky way either. And at $17 I felt some kind of way. The pizza was undercooked and soggy. Service was excellent as you order at the walk up counter. The lime and mint slush was delicious and refreshing and made fresh once I ordered it! The calm ambiance and vibe there never disappoint! But I do hope they rethink the new items and make some adjustments to them. I love Baba's and will continue to be an avid customer but I will stick with the hummus bowls and pita and hope they keep that summer lime refresher on the menu!

We also ordered a pita pizza-style and it was good as well. My personal favorite is the chicken buffalo and would recommend to anyone that plans to visit. It is located in uptown, parking isn't the easiest but it's worth it. Overall, food was good, restaurant was clean, service was also good and fast. I will return!

They were definitely the highlight of the order. The lentil soup was also good, although it was different from what I was expecting. It was blended lentils vs full form. That was more about my own expectations than anything being wrong with it, and I still enjoyed it. Overall, the food was satisfying and well-prepared, and I would definitely order the lamb chops again.

The following night, when there wasn't anything planned, they suggested going back and they were absolutely right. The food and service is phenomenal there!! We ended up going another night (2nd time for me, 3rd time for 2 coworkers) over a week! There's plenty on the menu for people who don't feel adventurous, but I chose items off their Turkish Cuisine page - and would recommend anyone to do so. Everything was so flavorful! I chose the Lumi Iskender Kebab (it looked like so much food but I cleaned the plate off!) and Beyti Sarma on the second visit (also delicious, love the tartness of the yogurt sauce and vinegar of the pickles on the side). I will likely end up visiting Minneapolis again and this would definitely be a restaurant I would revisit.

Is this the best dinner I've had in Mpls? It might be!…read more Came in for Valentine's Day on an almost accident. My partner said, "ever been to Fhimas? I think it's French?" And I was on board. We made reservations without another thought. I ended up googling the menu and realizing my partner was a little off on what type of cuisine this was and I was in unfamiliar territory though still excited to try. We loved every second of our experience here! The decor was amazing, the service was exceptional, the food was to die for. They had a special Valentine's Day menu which included beef Wellington for two, so we got that. Asked if it had sides and they said no. I asked if a veg was possible, expecting frozen, microwaved bland veggies. We got beautifully roasted, seasoned veggies that were amazing. Plus the beef Wellington was melting in our mouths. Cocktails were also exceptional. We had an espresso martini and old fashioned which came with a table side experience. We ended our adventure with the sticky toffee torte which was another exceptional dish. Our server was so kind and so so knowledgeable about every item and restaurant in the owners catalog. Very impressive all around.

Tables all around the restaurant, including the bar, left from previous patrons. Looks like a bomb went off. After 1+ hour, most of the tables are still covered in dirty plates and napkins. It's not that busy, maybe 10-20% full from 8:30 pm and beyond. Vibes = 2/10. What about the food? I've traveled all over the Mediterranean and Middle East. I'd give the Shashuka a 5-6 out of 10. It was supposed to be served with crepes and I had visions of Saluf and Sons Yemeni restaurant in Tel Aviv (now closed). Here it was served with a French bread / hot dog bun. Crepe???? I guess French bread and crepes are from the same country, but count me as unimpressed.
