Spicy feta hummus and pita
Abby R.

What a gem in Maple Grove! Beautiful aesthetic in the dining area and the kitchen looked very clean. The food was all so fresh, perfectly prepared, and great portions for the price. Couldn't have asked for better, more enthusiastic and passionate service from Laney and Howe. We took Laney up on all of her recommendations and tried the spicy feta hummus, spanakopita, lamb kebab, falafel, lemon soup, baklava, affogato, and frappe. Would recommend all - especially the lamb, hummus, and the lemon soup. Pita came with everything and was perfectly soft and chewy. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Loved this place in Rochester and was so glad they opened in Maple Grove. I truly enjoy Mediterranean food and the gyro plate, chicken kabobs and all the side options like hummus and spicy fries or the delicious salads are a great lunch or dinner option in Maple Grove. Lunch options have been coming with a soda which is a sweet bonus in today's economy! Great staff and they are super helpful if you are new to this cuisine!

My partner and I visited Nupa and ordered the gyro meat combo plate along with their soup special of the day (which we didn't receive), a steak kabob served with a Greek salad. The gyro meat combo plate was solid ~ meat was seasoned well and didn't feel too heavy (4/5). The Greek salad (3.5/5) was fresh and balanced the richness of the meal nicely (nothing fancy). But the real standout for us was the steak kabob (4.5/5)--possibly one of the most tender cuts I've had in a long time. Absolutely delicious. Yum. That said, the portion sizes felt a bit smaller for its price point which brought down the overall value for us. Still, we're happy to support a new, local small business trying to get its footing. The ambience was great. Clean space, neatly set tables, and thoughtful touches like house special herb and spice blends at each table for extra seasoning if you need it. Being a new restaurant, there are definitely some growing pains. Service was a bit backed up, and a few customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. The staff also seemed to be working out some internal systems, which caused delays and confusion--at one point, a staff member had to stop us from eating because the dish might've been for another table, and we also received the wrong soup (and couldn't be bothered to ask for a new one) All in all, we'd rate our experience a 3.5 out of 5, but we'll round up to 4 stars for the potential we see here. We're hopeful that with a little time and fine-tuning, this place will truly shine. Looking forward to giving it another shot soon!

The service was phenomenal and all of the staff were terribly friendly and clean. The location was pretty busy but we were able to get a clean table and our appetizer was out within 5 minutes. They have fresh iced cucumber water on hand and fun mocktails if you want. Two adults were able to have a shared appetizer and meal with two sides for 53 bucks. We had it to go to take home and the whole experience was delicious. I will add that my partner had the lamb hero and I had the chicken gyro both of which had meat that was tender and pie cut.

The restaurant has only been open for about two months, and is clean and bright. We were there around 6:30 on a Saturday evening. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Staff was very friendly and checked on us several times. My partner had the Gyro Meat Plate and Horiatiki salad and Avgolemeno (soup with a savory flavor-good). He said the meat was cold and greasy, like it had been cut a while ago, then reheated (but not heated enough). I had the half size Horiatiki Salad alone. There were too many green peppers and onions for my taste, but the dressing was good. It also came with warm pita. The half order was plenty of food for me. I had a glass of water which turned out to be cucumber water. I don't usually like cucumber water, but the flavor went really well with the meal so I did like it. The tzatziki sauce was really good, creamy and flavourful. They bus the tables, and they do it pretty quickly. We will likely be back.

Tried Nupa for the first time today and let me tell you this place is beautiful. Opened just 2 months ago. My online order was ready on time and the employee packed my food with care. The food was hot and fresh and the price was on point for fast casual dining. Worth the stop.

Staff were friendly and nice. They consistently checked up on us. Food was excellent. Nearly everything was made fresh and from scratch. Skewers, calamari, and fresh fries were our top picks. If you pay cash, you get free sodas and a small discount.

Great new spot! The staff was helpful and checked on us several times. Menu has lots of options. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. I also appreciated that they are generous with their pita bread. It's so fresh you definitely want lots. I had a half Caprese salad and a steak kebab. My companion ordered a Gyro pita and french fries.. We also shared a hummus plate. Delicious. The place is clean and really cute. Oh, they also have a small bar. We'll be back.

Nupa in Maple Grove is an absolute gem! From the fresh and flavorful food, to the super friendly staff, it's easily one of our new favorite restaurants! They have large windows for a good amount of natural light, comfortable seating and nice decor. The prices are very reasonable too!

Fresh tasting, delicious hummus, and great ambiance restaurant. We liked the spicy hummus, steak kabob, avgolemono soup, and baklava a lot.

The food is amazing and fresh! Ambience is soft music and appealing art work with lots of light coming through the large windows. A gem for Mediterranean food in Maple Grove!

They also have a small deli grab and go next to the butcher are where there are fresh made snacks, za'atr bread, spinach pies, etc The olive and cheese deli section is plentiful as well. There is a separate cafe which I did not try on this visit but will be back for it. Plenty of seating and they had my favorite Falafel sandwich on the menu My favorite part are the little snack goodies in the grocery area such as chips of unique flavors, a variety of candy , and salted nuts snacks. There is a large amount of Indian groceries as well for those looking for that. They say are the largest Halal market in Minnesota for those looking for that niche. They have their own private parking lot and are off of University Ave and 85th Ave. There is always someone available from the store to answer questions. Finally made a point to come here for dinner and excited to try out their food! Not realizing it was also connected to the supermarket we wandered the aisles for a bit before heading over to the cooked food cafe. My husband grabbed some olives and immediately started eating them while we sat in the grill area--10/10 no regrets. We ordered the babaganoush, garlic spread, and a falafel sandwich. While we weren't huge fans of the pita (very bready), the dips were so good they made up for it. Great food, great market vibes, and a fun place to try something new!

I go there for the delicious Middle Eastern food, which, for a buffet, is amazingly fresh and tasty. It helps, of course, that the buffet is replenished frequently. It includes a wide variety of salads, hummus, pita, soup, protein, and desserts--and it's all delicious! If you have not been to the family-owned Mediterranean Cruise, the building itself is surprisingly large and impressive. It features a 25-foot or higher ceiling, a private dining area, and even space for belly dancing presentations. While Mediterranean Cruise offers Mezas, soups, salads, rice and hummus bowls, sandwiches, and more off the menu, you must try the buffet to truly appreciate the breadth of their offerings. Highly recommended.

I have pretty high standards for Greek/Mediterranean food, and it just doesn't stand out anymore. The pita has been dry, although the hummus is still solid. The platters are fine overall, but nothing particularly memorable. Service has also been a bit underwhelming recently compared to past visits. That said, the atmosphere is still a highlight. The space feels very authentic with all the decor, and the belly dancers are always a fun touch. The patio is also nice if you're able to sit outside. Parking can be a little tight in their lot, but there's a ramp nearby which makes it easier.
