I love Greek salads so we were driving through the area and decided to stop here. It wasn't quite what I was looking for. You order at the counter, grab a number, find a table and your food is brought to you. Despite that, I was so glad we stopped here. My salad was delicious. I got the large and it was a titch big but I managed to scarf it all down happily. I wish they would have served it with a piece of pita but as it happened, Husband's meal had ample pita so I stole some. I also stole a few fries which were crispy and yummy. Service was great. They served your food as soon as it was ready which means your table could get food at different times but I'm ok with that. Out meals were great. Great food, great service, great stop!

Tried this out with my family because saw the good reviews. We got the gyro plate, lamb kebab plate, and the kids meal. While I didn't think anything was mind blowing, the ingredients were fresh and had decent flavor. I like their fries a lot, they are very crispy and I love the sauce that comes with them. I recommend checking it out if you like med food! Ambience and the food presentation was also nice.

I got the chicken kebab plate, and it was fantastic (5/5). Everything (chicken, Turkish rice, hummus, pita, and salad) was great, and there was a ton of food, especially for the price! I will definitely be coming back and am excited to try some of the other items! Everyone in my party was happy with their food and is equally excited to return! You order up at the front of the restaurant and fill your own drinks, but they get your food to you almost instantly (under two minutes) since they have most of it prepped. The interior of the restaurant is well decorated, big, and pretty quiet, so it is easy to hear your party and catch up.

Wow, wow. This place exceeded my expectations. When you first walk in, you will notice two sections of seating. There is bar seating tables, and in the back there are some window and booth seating. The whole place is decorated with beautiful Turkish lamps and other decor. They play very relaxing nice music and I just love the ambience of the restaurant. The staff is friendly. The owner is super nice and will have conversations with the customers. We ordered a lamb shish kebab plate that says we'll feed 2 to 3 people and I think it's very accurate. My husband and I eat a lot and for two of us the plate was perfect amount of food. You get to pick a side with your plate and it comes with a variety of different things, such as salad , rice fries, and of course the shish kebabs. The food was outstanding. Everything taste so fresh and hot which indicates freshly made. The food came out relatively fast too. We didn't have to wait long. The lamb just melts in your mouth and their rice is flavored with butter. One of our favorite things is that they have these cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil on the table for you to dip the pita bread in. The whole experience was five out of five. We cannot recommend it more and will definitely come back!

Pretty cool spot on Market Street next to the old Chanhassen Cinema with a pretty broad Mediterranean menu. When you walk in, it looks like a order-from-your-table kind of place, but they actually took orders at the register, which was a little chaotic with 4 groups trying to read menus and figure out who was ready. The service at the table and the food was top notch though. We ordered a Doner Wrap and the Falafel Plate - both of which were delicious. Highly recommend.

Lunch special gyro (made "spicy") with fries!

Looking for a go to Greek/gyro place in the SW Metro? THIS IS YOUR NEW FAVORITE! Its tucked away amidst a ton of restaurants in Chanhassen, but well worth exploring to find it. I've created a list of Greek places to try throughout the Twin Cities and this place came highly recommended. Surprise surprise - it has a PERFECT rating on Yelp. So... Twist my arm! I got the gyro lunch special (with fries) and on a tip asked for them to make it "spicy". The service was great and the space was really big (could get a big group of people together). They brought my gyro out really quickly and right away I could tell I was in for a treat. It just looked good. You know how you can tell sometimes that you are going to enjoy eating something? Well, I could. Lets start with the sandwich. It was killer. So good! The meat was super tender and the other toppings complimented it perfectly (onion/tomato). I will say I went ahead with the banana peppers, which I'm not used to, and I did end up picking them off. Not bad - just not for me. The real home run here was the sauce. The tzatziki was delicious. Absolutely brilliant. The "spice" was some red saucy addition to the tzatziki that added a little flavor, but not much in the way of heat. All in all, this is one of the best gyros I have ever had. One more thing to add - the fries. YUM! They were perfectly crispy and the dipping sauce that accompanied them is fantastic. Don't get a meal here without them!

    Greek Salad with spicy chicken
    Debra M.

The Greek Salad here is so packed with veggies and has just a small amount of chopped romaine, which translates into a filling, flavorful meal. The Hummus is fresh and creamy, the pita triangles warm and a little fluffy. But the big question is, How did I get to be this old without ever trying Baba Ghanoush?? What a delightful, light, fresh, creamy dip I was scooping up with my spoon. The eggplant had been grilled to a lovely, smoky tang with a light acidity (apple cider vinegar?). So good. Highly. Recommend.

I ordered this for a work birthday event and it was a hit! It was very easy to order and everyone I spoke to were so kind. I haven't been to the location but everyone at work says it's such a nice place to eat at. The food was outstanding! Great for a work event, everyone could get what they wanted and mix and match. Highly recommended this place and I will be going back!

Absolutely wonderful. By far the best gyro I've had. Enjoy plated or wrapped. True Turkish atmosphere as well as you watch them prepare every meal in an open kitchen.

However, please allow me to say that having this establishment in Minneapolis is much needed because one can get food from various types of cuisines here and that itself honestly makes this place very valuable. Among all the dishes I have ordered over two times visiting here, my favorite was the kofte, which I know is a form of traditional Turkish dish, and what I loved about it was the ample amount of seasoning that defined the flavor of the ground beef & lamb and the sauce that would alter the flavor profile in a positive manner if needed. The pickled onion and rice offered extra means to enjoy the dish, so I utilized them to the maximum. The adana kebab was a kebab version of the kofte except for the meat wasn't as seasoned. My friend had that dish and it was still good. I also have tried the iskender which I knew was a popular dish here and also a common dish in Türkiye. It was slightly underwhelming because the meat wasn't as seasoned and wasn't tender enough, so I had to rely on the tomato sauce and the yogurt for assistance. Another friend had the beef stroganoff and I tasted it a bit. The tenderloin was marinated very well and the demi glace provided good flavor, along with the brussels sprouts that was cooked well enough to serve as a side dish. The lentil soup was pretty good, albeit not spectacular as it was relatively plain, and I know that lentil requires seasoning to give it flavor. The baklava wasn't crispy enough on the top and didn't have enough stickiness or sweetness to compliment the amount of pistachio that was added, but I will say that having a good amount of pistachio was a definite plus. The sutlac was great! The rice pudding flavor was evident and having one scoop with such along with the pistachio on top made it a very enjoyable experience! It also had a lot in a bowl, so the amount included was also very satisfactory. As mentioned previously, this place is a gem and much needed to stay here in Minneapolis. Their menu looks so fascinating that there are more dishes that I want to try, which I am committed to doing. I will also recommend this establishment to anyone looking for Turkish food in the Twin Cities!

Lebanese food is just one of those foods that we can't live without. So while we were sad when "The Port" closed, we were excited to hear they were opening Beirut Street Food. Today we ordered their Kabob family meal. That comes with a lot of our favorites. The choice of 4 kabobs, we picked chicken and kafta, 2 vegetable kabobs, salad, their delicious lebanese rice, bread and the addictive toum. We added a few grape leaves and extra bread to snack with that toum. Those who know love bread and tourm. Everything was excellent! I have tried multiple times to make kafta at home and it never is as good as they make it. The chicken is always cooked perfectly. A nice char from the grill, and tender and juicy on the inside. The grape leaves a nice balance of sour from the leaves filled with savory rice and meat. So good. The vegetables were grilled perfectly. Not overly grilled, sweet with a little crisp. Everything was just as we remembered. They are now located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and a few seats inside. While the Sultan is not on their menu., they do have lots of other tasty options that we look forward to returning for.One of our favorite places!

With a bit of research online beforehand, I decided to order some of the most common dishes in Uzbeki culture, and ended up getting quite a few dishes so I could try a bit of everything. I enjoyed pretty much all the food that I tried. My favorite dish was the samsa because the beef and lamb were seasoned very well, the puff pastry was crispy, and the sauce added a very flavorful layer of succulence. The mantu also had very seasoned meat and tasted like a bigger version of Chinese soup dumplings. I dipped some of it in the chili pepper flakes that my server gave me and it tasted amazing. The lagman soup was also extremely flavorful. It had a good amount of vegetables and very tender beef and hand pulled noodles in bone broth. I also absolutely loved the plav which had super tender and flavorful beef, and carrots, pilaf rice, and chickpeas that were seasoned very well. The amount of oil in the dish also provided a layer of flavor I believe. My friends ordered the khasip and the kebabs and I tasted some of the meat, which was not as tender but still very flavorful, especially the kebabs. The sausage, which contained minced beef, heart, lungs, and rice, resembled what I had in Northern China when I lived there. The nostalgic factor made me enjoy the sausage a lot as well. After lunch, I went next door to the Samarkand Market, and was pleasantly surprised to find many Russian products including chocolate, kvas, pelmeni, and more. I even spoke to the store owners in Russian and picked up their newspaper. The entire restaurant and market experience made me super happy and I will definitely return.

There was a problem with one of the dishes, so that's why it's only at a 3. My friend and I got the lagman, tandoori bread, assorted shish kebabs , and small plov to share. Overall, the food was flavorful and portions were generous. We really enjoyed the lagman's deep flavor. The bread was just okay, as well as the plov. We got a small size, but it was still pretty big. The assorted shish kebabs came with lula, lamb, and chicken. The lula and lamb were great! However, I took a bite of the chicken skewer and it was cold and ended up being raw. We checked the rest of the chicken kebab and found that while the middle pieces were cooked, then ends weren't. We brought this to the server's attention and he was very apologetic and immediately took it away for us. It was not the server's fault for sure. He informed us that he would let the cooks know and offered some alternatives (1. they remake the chicken skewers, 2. remake the whole dish (and I guess we would still be charged?), or 3. just remove it from our check). We chose the third option. Overall, service was friendly and nice. They were just swamped because there was also a banquet that was going on. I wonder if that also contributed to what happened with our food. While I was disappointed, I am willing to give this another try some time later. I would just be hyperaware of how meats are cooked.

I went to the fridge in the front after our meal was done because we were tired of waiting and thirsty. The falafel is the best thing that we had. It was fresh but a bit oil. There wasn't much flavor in the chicken and the other meat was too dry. I think the veggies were a bit too chard for my liking. The shawarma was not that great.
