I am a big fan of Middle Eastern food. This place was ok. Ordered the veggie platter, the spinach pie, and pistachio baklava. I wouldn't order the pie again as it was a little soggy (it was delivery) and some of the items in the veggie platter lacked flavor based on similar dishes elsewhere. Hummus and baklava were pretty good. Not sure if the pitas are made here, but they were pretty darn good. read more

they give you hella food for a moderate price! and the food is actually good quality! I got the vegetarian plate and it was awesome! would totally go again when in the area. read more

The food was average, but the service was terrible. Finally managed to identify my order and got it home only to find the main dish missing. After some grief, they discounted the dish, but I won't be back. read more

Great takeout spot. I don't have a ton of shawarma experience, but I've always been satisfied with my order. I've gotten almost everything on the menu at this point, but my go to is the lamb plate. My only weird observation is that the orange sauce they put on when you eat in seems different than the one included for take out. Not sure if that's real or my imagination. read more

This place is usually dirty and so I cannot trust the food. Peoplebsit outside and the least they could do is sweep the sidewalk! I don't recommend. read more

Today we had the chicken shawarma, lamb shawarma, and vegetarian plate. Sadly most of it got thrown away as it was inedible. I have eaten a lot of middle eastern food, and my husband is from the Middle East. The side dishes were a disgusting mush. I won't be back. read more

Glad to have a shawarma joint in the area. Although, I tried the cheeseburger and it was great. Fresh flavored meat, soft sesame seed bun, iceberg lettuce, melted cheese. That's how it's done folks. My only complaint was that it was a little sloppy, but that's what happens when you've got 1/3 pound of fresh beef on a soft bun. Also, I ordered it to go and had to fish it out of the container. I noticed that when they were preparing the burger, they actually cut a fresh onion. I wasn't a huge fan of the fries, but the burger was really good. I've also had the lamb shawarma which was decent. read more

Excellent Mediterranean food, excellent service! Quick deli options, staff and owner exceptional. Service dog friendly!!!

I your looking for some authentic Mediterranean food this is the place. Service great, big selection of food. The hummus and kabobs are amazing, the best I've had hands down. If your around the area give it a try you won't regret it. read more

The food is great but really need to work on speed. But good food!

I decided to give this place another shot. I saw that they had a best of the bay award and thought it might be worth it. This time I ordered online so lucky my food was ready when I arrived. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because the food was not good, thinking about it my stomach is turning. The food was so bland, and my stomach ended up hurting the rest of the day, maybe the quality of the food but I think it was a combination of my body rejecting it because of the taste and possibly the quality can't say for sure. It could have been what I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap (my partner got the chicken shawarma and disliked it as well), but the fries had no salt as well and were pretty dry. If you are looking for the best shawarma and kebobs, please go to Kamdesh (my favorite restaurant in all of Oakland!) read more

Lamb and beef shawarma is there best!!Nice food !I felt I was in Saudi for a moment. The music created a cheerful mood

I ordered the veggie combo plate togo. They were friendly and finished my order quickly. The falafel and bread were REALLY good and the portion size was more than enough. My only complaint was that many of the items on the combo plate kind of smushed and mixed together by the time I walked to my office (3 blocks away). The baba ganoush, hummus, and Turkish salsa were all blended together, making it not very pretty to look at. However, good flavors. read more

Eagerly awaited the opening of this place, and finally got to try it today. I asked for the Schwarma on pita, and sadly they were out of pita bread by 7 pm. OK, they are new and I'm sure they will improve on that. Offered a wrap on lavash bread instead. Unfortumately the result was very dry, little or no sauce in sight and not much vegetation. OK, but not worth ordering again. Portion size was moderate for the $10 price, service was quick enough. I will try again eventually, since i live a block away, but underwhelmed with my first visit. read more

Great place. Gave us free samples of food to taste. Professionally served. Good prices for the area. Highly recommended

The food is not made w authenticity..shawerma is never ever made with lettuce and tabouli is never ever made with cucumbers! it's a nice cute place lovely location, decent falafel but overall not authentic as it should be/taste. Friendly staff however . Thanks read more

We ordered delivery from Oasis last night; it was our first and last time patronizing this restaurant. We purchased 3 entrees, but they only delivered 2 of them. There was no explanation at all from the restaurant. They did refund the cost of the entree that was missing, but that's cold comfort when one person in your party is sitting there without any dinner. On top of that, the food that we did receive was mediocre quality at best. It was delivered cold. It looked like the delivery driver may have played soccer with the boxes on their way over to our house - everything inside was a giant mess of cold goop. Maybe they are okay if you are dining in and you don't mind 'meh' quality Greek food. Their delivery game needs some serious work, though - what we received was incomplete, cold, and generally gross. My advice is to find another restaurant if you are looking for good Greek food delivery. read more

This place is the real deal. I've had falafel and hummus all over the world, and Oasis serves some of the best. Very friendly folks, too. It's a great addition to the neighborhood, and I'll be back often. read more

Best falafel wrap I've ever had! Glad this place is in the neighborhood now. Very fresh and authentic tasting food.

I have personally ate here several times since they first opened and have loved every meal I've had. If I wanted something special they would happily oblige. The service is impeccable here. I just had the napoleon for the first time last night and it was AMAZING. Will order one each time from now on. I always get the chicken shawarma and it's delicious every time. This is by far my favorite middle ea st ern restaurant. I love all th eh r desserts; especially the basbousa. And I am very picky on what I will eat, this place is amazing. read more

Stopped by today since they were open for Christmas Eve and fell in love with their food. Incredible plates and friendly staff. Ordered the lamb chops plate and it was the most decadent lollipop lamb chops I've ever had. My friend had the chicken shawarma wrap and it was the best I've ever tried. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. read more

Great spot! I was walking home through the rain yesterday, and smelled the kebab. Figured that this was as good a place as any so I popped in. The folks working were super friendly! I ordered kifta, and it was awesome. Huge portions and great flavor. I'll be here again very soon. Also had a side of falafel, they drizzled it with tahini and chili sauce, very good! read more

My gf & I just had a lamb shawarma and a veggie combo plate. Very tasty. Would go again if we're in the area.

met up with my youngest son on saturday for lunch. just walking down grand ave., trying to decide what to eat. saw this place and headed into here just because. because it smelled sooooo good! we both had the lamb/beef shawarmas. they were awesome! so tasty and plenty of meat and just enough but not a ton of veggies. some places give you just a little meat and a ton of veggies so this was a great change of pace. wanted to try everything there but decided we'll just have to go back. we did split a spinach pie, another excellent item! very flavorful. can't wait to go back! read more
