I think I'd like the falafel, or other items on the menu, but the lamb/beef shawarma was just... not good. The meat seemed very fatty with lots of gristle. And the wrap had almost no flavor. I was expecting the "meat on a stick" kind of lamb/beef combo, but this was not it. If I'm close and starving, I'll give it another shot for the falafel, but you can skip the shawarma. :( read more

One of my favorite Mediterranean places to come to in the East Bay! Nothing fancy but the food is so good and very reasonably priced when good portions. I wish it was a little cleaner (dining space, bathrooms etc) but we keep coming back! read more

Solid food reasonable prices people were friendly. I'd eat here again. I had the chicken Shawarma plate and it came with some salads and hummus and they didn't skimp on the pita like some places do. Rice had nice flavor too. read more

Food was very fresh. Falafel and chicken over rice were delicious. Associate at service counter was friendly. Quick response

Baklava had Pistachios NOT almonds as stated!! Went there today to purchase baklava--five pieces. I ASKED for walnuts--was told I was purchasing almonds. I specifically said I was allergic to pistachios. The female server lied and stated smugly "No, they are almonds". I purchased and could have dies. I am sooooooo PISSED! read more

Falafel + Baba ghanouj = vegan paradise Love this new neighborhood staple. I am still holding out hope for the icecream shop to open up next door :) read more

Really good falafel, chicken and olives. The hummus fell flat on its face. Maybe I got a bad batch? Nice people and convenient for hookah after upstairs. read more

As long as you stick with the chicken, you are good. Chicken wrap I got last time was pretty good. Also they have these nice spinach breads. But they have one of the worst kafti kebabs I have ever tasted. The meat didn't taste right and made my stomach upset. Most likely I won't be going back here again.. read more

My favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in Oakland! These guys know how to make shawarma, falafel, hummus, and good fresh salads. The new chef Alam is very talented, kind, and takes care of us every time we come. Fast service, generous portions, and great quality food. Highly recommend! read more

I live near this place and order take out quite often. Their food is really good, I'm in love with the lamb schwarma. I took away one star because I tried eating inside the restaurant once and it was quite unpleasant; very hot, loud, a little unwelcoming, and the tables weren't clean. I have yet to eat inside since, but am a continuing customer because their food is good and well priced. read more

Just had a feta spinach pie. Amazing. Quality, authentic food served by sweet staff. Will come back for more! read more

Great food in a great location. I had the falafel plate. falafels I get are usually dry however I don't know what they mix it with but these where amazing! I will definitely come back. The people treated me well also. It is located right across from the lake. What more can you ask for. read more

Working in the area there are not a whole lot of quick walkable places to grab something. Because of this, I bring my lunch with me almost every day. I always see Oasis but never stopped in. I eventually decided to try Oasis after a co-worker told me that he liked it and thought that the falafel was good. I am generally hesitant to eat Arabic food out as nothing can beat my moms home cooked meals. However, I decided to give Oasis a try and I was not disappointed. The falafel is fresh and delicious and the lamb shawarma is tender and filled with flavor. I am a sucker for good falafel and hummus and their food really hits the spot! read more

We got the shwarma wrap with lamb, beef and chicken. We asked for them to make it spicy, so delicious. Blew my mind. Always fast service. Always delicious food. A must eat! read more

This is a small take out/cheap eats spot. You order at the counter and wait patiently for the authentic Mediterranean food. The interior of the restaurant is loud, small & tables need to be cleaned more often. It's best to eat outside, across the street at the park or get the food to go. We did enjoy the chicken shawarma, chicken kabob, falafel, fries & creamy humus. Everything taste authentic & fresh. The chicken shawarma & falafel was a little dry & the service was somewhat slow on our visit. I don't think this place is as good as their other place on Telegraph Ave. read more

You will not be disappointed if you go for authentic family prepared home cooked middle eastern food. Everything is expertly and lovingly prepared on the premises. The hummus is too die for: exquisitely prepared with a perfect balance of ingredients. The babaganoush is also prepared onsite and is delicious. You feel graciously accepted by the friendly staff and are offered generous portions of their delicious food. Do not pass this restaurant by. You will be missing something special. read more

Good food, quick and courteous service. I was sitting outside with my 2 kids and my husband was ordering inside. The guy from the cafe heard that my 3 y.o. was crying (she did not get enough of a nap and was cranky) and he got outside and brought her small sweet treat, I think it was baklava. No charge, just being nice to her. Needless to say it immediately worked and she was much happier. Thank you for your kindness! read more

Originally we were going to the taco place next door but they were closed for the 4th of July. We tried this spot next door and we're definitely coming back. The falafel wrap, shawarma and samosas were amazing. You can tell this is a good place to eat because it was constantly busy. read more

I like this place, but minus the three stars due to favoritism. The food is really good, but lost the stars due to the service. This happened twice to me in this place. I walk in and order. Several guys walks in after me. It seems they know the cook. I don't know if they ordered before me through the cook, because they spoke in Spanish. I order, pay and got my water. While I was getting my water, I heard the guys behind me place their order and pay. I sit and watch videos and about 15 or 20 minutes passed and the guys behind me got their food first. I only ordered the lamb kabob plate and I can see they had the combo. I stood up to ask how did they get their order before mine. I told her I ordered first and they have more items than I did. The cook called the cashier and she tried to bullshit me that the lamb kabobs takes longer. I would believe it if each person behind me didn't have lamb kabobs, but each had a skewer. Also, it only took less than 5 minutes to prepare my plate. I watched her prepare our food. The cook definitely treated her friends first and better. She even came out and gave extra naan and refilled one of their drinks for them. I'm not looking for the exact same service. I just want fair service. I know we can be biased with our friends and family, but this is a business and we are all paying customers. The least that should have been done is cook the food the order they came in. I was one guy that got cut off by the cook's three friends. I lost my appetite due to the treatment. If I didn't use a card, I would have left and asked for my money back. read more

There is metered parking nearby. I ordered the Kafta. Delicious! Friendly service too.

As good as it gets and then some! The food is incredible and the portions are generous. I ordered the combo plate and had it for lunch 3 days in a row. Nice people too! read more

The food is okay , just didn't feel really welcome . I don't know if the guy is having a bad day or he's just being uninterested in working there . read more

Oasis Kitchen is one of the best small businesses in Oakland, and a wonderful asset to the community and our bellies. I'm a regular there, and I love this place so much. The family that runs it and their staff are all super welcoming, great neighbors. Their food is consistently delicious, always fresh, and made with clean, fine ingredients. Also I don't know why there's 2 $$ on Yelp, their plates are not expensive (but they are hefty)! The photo attached is of a falafel platter they made me at the end of the night, I was the last order and made it just in time, they're always so cool and easygoing. Great food, great restaurant, great family. Thanks Oasis!!! read more

Oasis Kitchen - Falafel Near Me - Oakland, California

A delicious gem in a simple package. The place looks like a hole-in-the-wall with limited cafeteria-style seating and some beautiful painted murals, but oh man the food. I've brought family and friends here and everyone has always loved their meals. Fresh-baked pita makes me realize I didn't actually know what pita was before coming here. Quick and friendly service (although not all the staff speak great English). We had them cater a large event for us, and they delivered amazing food in a timely fashion and were easy to coordinate with. Only downside--we had celiac attendees and had requested strict separation of anything containing gluten, and they put pita bread in the center of platters containing things that would otherwise have been gluten-free. read more

Best shawarma in Oakland. Full stop. Not to mention the hospitable service!! Forsure the middle eastern go to. The shawarma combo plate is so fresh and yummy and there was so much food I could share!! read more

Big fan of the Chicken kabob plate. The service is great and always greeted with a smile. Along with their awesome music you feel that you are definitely about to experience authentic food. The humus is great and wish they feature their taboulleh more in their plates cause I always want more. I swear I'm here every week. They also have sweet things for those with a sweet tooth, their baklava in front of your face as you pay. If you change your mind while there and that Mediterranean crave goes away they also have some bomb fries and burger if you're set in your ways. read more

I love the chicken and rice, the falafel and dolma. great comfort food.

Outstanding food - very authentic, fabulous falafel wrap. The pastries are moist and delicious. It makes me crazy when baklava is dried out and Oasis makes it moist and delicious - a honey of a treat as it should be. read more

This place had the best shawarmas and baklava's I've ever had. Friendly people and service is good. I can't wait to go back!

A different version of Lebanese food than I normally have. I tried multiple items and they all hit the spot. I think they must be from a different region of Lebanon than where ai grew up because there are noticeable differences in the flavors and spices. Even the textures! It's very cool for me because it's a change from the norm. read more

I ordered food from this restaurant through Yelp for delivery by Grubhub. I ordered the Lamb & Beef Shawarma Plate which was supposed to come with rice but I was given "French Fries" instead. I mean did they run out of rice? I wasn't even given a choice to choose another side. I didn't enjoy the food! Also, my food was extremely late. read more

I came in here yesterday with my partner. We both got the lamb gyros. DELICIOUS!!! They even threw in an extra backlava our way. Love this spot. read more

Worst food ever I will never go back here Meat was not cooked, saw blood on meat We wasted $47 on some disgusting food Poor customer service as well read more

Sadly our food was such a disappointment. We ordered the kebab trio plate and it was extremely bland. All 3 meats had little to no seasoning or salt. The only item on the plate that had somewhat decent flavor was the rice. The baba ganoush had a strange smoke flavor as if liquid smoke had been added. The salad, even with carrots, was weirdly bitter. We also ordered a side of French fries which didn't have a single grain of salt either. Who wants unseasoned fries? My advice to Oasis Kitchen, don't be afraid to season up your meat and sides. It definitely needs a lot more flavor. Having had middle eastern food in the middle east, there is a lot left to be desired. read more

The gentleman who worked there was very kind. Large portions for the price. I had the veggie combo platter. My only gripe is that it didn't taste particularly fresh, but was definitely filling. Good variety. They have something called a za'atar bread which is really tasty. I would recommend but not the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. read more

Very mixed results here. Once I had great lamb: seasoned, delicious, tender. Another time, a month later, it was gristle. Also once I ordered takeout and they never announced when the food was ready then when I spoke up after fifteen minutes, they said *I* should have been checking in with *them* to see if my food was ready yet. It was been sitting there behind the counter for several minutes. UGH!!! I wish this place could have gotten it's act together. :( read more

Yum! Glad this place finally opened. Great falafel and chicken shawarma. The falafel is fried fresh to order, so be prepared to wait a bit for that. Good value on the plates; its a lot of good food. Get the rice instead of fries-it's delicious. read more
