The peel and eat shrimp were ok, but lacked any seasoning and the cocktail sauce was a step above ketchup. The chilled crab legs were ok. The salad bar had two types of lettuce cheese, beats, and sunflower kernels. The cooked food was average...at best. Panda express does a better job of "Chinese food" The ice "milk" was ok. The "lobster" which may or not have been lobster smelled bad. $32.99 per person for the "holiday" so $116 and change before tip. Bus service was on top of it and picked up plates regularly. Me and my family went to this restaurant yesterday 11/2/2025. I picked a plate of some food and went to the hibachi area to get ingredients for my hibachi, while doing so, unknowingly, not realizing using thong of the beef then to the pork, the "big cook guy" came from where he cooks, arrogantly told me not to mixed the tongs for beef and pork. When I am done for my ingredients I went to line my plate to be cooked. There's a guy before me who this rude "cook guy" let the man put his plate to the empty space next to the 3 plates that's already cooked. Then cook guy picked the man's plate so now that space was vacant and so I put my plate, unexpectedly, he took my plate and gave it back to me and scattered the 3 done plates on the bench so I won't be able to put my plate there. Then a customer came to pick up his 2 plates so now there's 2 space available. He let me put my plate but pushed it in the corner. A man came after me and this very rude cook let this customer put his plate in the middle in front of him and picked up and cooked this plate first where my plate was first. So I started telling him on his actions and just continue giving me attitudes. I told him I need to talk to your manager. Guess what, he did not slow down of being arrogant , instead very arrogantly and proudly told me " yes talk to him, he's in front, go go go tell him with his hand pointing the direction. So I went, the manager said let me asks him what happened . Manager went inside the cooking area and when he came out he told me what the cook told him. While the manager and I were talking the rude cook look at me and smiling sarcastically. Told the manager about it, shocked to his reply "what's wrong with smiling?" He also said this cook was been with them for 15 yrs and they had not received much complaints, meaning this is not the first time it happened and they did not do anything about it, only asked this cook what happened. No wonder this cook acted in a very bad customer service behavior , acting more like he is the owner. This is our 2nd time at Oasis and honestly the food were not good anymore, only the first week of their opening. Definitely me, my family, relatives and friends will not come back here ever again!!! The place is very nice and clean simple decor the staff was nice . The price was okay for being in the middle of nowhere in the high desert . They have a good selection on things I went at dinner so everything was hot and ready. Wish there was more selection to many Chinese food in my opinion. More good steaks would be nice also . The ice cream machines were down the time I went . New Asian buffet in the old Wood Grill Buffet location. Great buffet with a plethora of items; too many to try in one sitting really, unless one has a humongous appetite. That just means a return trip in the near future. I recommend the hibachi grill where a made to order dish with your own ingredient selections will be cooked while you wait. I made a plate with assorted veggies, noodles, flanken beef rib, chicken, egg, and surimi. I noticed a pan of cold steamed rice as well so there is an option to have the chef make a custom fried rice for you. Saucing selection is a teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, hot chili oil, and garlic. The chef was spot on with the seasoning. The final product was quite delicious. There are numerous seafood items, both hot and cold, in the buffet stations. Sushi and sashimi is available as well and is very fresh. There were at least two different kinds of baked fish and assorted fried seafood like shrimp and squid. I particularly enjoyed the baked shrimp filled scallop shells. The filling had a nice flavor with chunks of chopped shrimp. A chicken stick and BBQ pork rib were flavorful and tender. The little deep fried blue crabs were tasty, just be sure to select the ones with plenty of meat. I got a hot and sour soup. The soup could have been spicier so it was in the strong okay category. I noticed a Westlake seafood soup available but did not try it. That is definitely for the next visit. Staff were polite and efficient. Used plates were removed expeditiously. I went around 4:00 pm so there was no wait. Best to dine between peak lunch and dinner times to avoid the crowds. Plenty of parking in the spacious lot. read more

Tried out the new Oasis Buffet in Hesperia and overall, it was a decent experience. The prices are fair, and they offer kid pricing and military discounts, which is always appreciated. It's a new spot, and you can tell--they've done a nice job keeping things clean and the food looked fresh. There's a good variety of seasoned food options, including some kid-friendly choices, which worked well since I went with all my kids (and they enjoyed it!). The baked mussels and chicken were really good, and I tried a little bit of everything. That said, the sushi was a bit too warm for my liking, and I wish they had more dessert options. It definitely gets packed, so expect a bit of a wait--but it wasn't too bad. Upon answering, we were greeted very friendly and then seated immediately. The ambience was neutral nothing extravagant, very bland and plain. I noticed there was a sushi bar and I have been craving sushi almost every day so I was definitely excited about that. I first decided to walk around the buffet and see all my options. I also noticed a stirfry station so I decided to keep that in the back of my mind as well. I will tell you this.... There is nothing at this buffet that will have me coming back. Unfortunately, the sushi tasted like cream cheese wrapped in rice. The stirfry was bland and tasteless and everything on the hot buffet was under seasoned or undercooked. I used to love Oasis Buffet, but unfortunately, I've had multiple negative experiences with servers soliciting tips, which has made me stop going. Just to be clear, Oasis is a self-serve buffet, with the exception of drink refills, which are handled by the servers. On several occasions, (specifically, a male server - I don't know his name) have either directly asked for a tip or strongly implied that one was expected. The most recent incident was particularly off-putting. After receiving the check, the server told me "tip" in Spanish, then repeated it in English. It made my mother and me feel pressured to leave a tip, even though the service provided doesn't warrant it, since it's a self-serve buffet. And then on a different occasion, we got the same server, once he picked up the check, he did a gesture indicating tip, and my dad refused to provide him with tip and he laughed and walked away. I'm really disappointed because I enjoy the food at Oasis, but I don't feel comfortable returning when I feel forced to tip for minimal service. Management needs to address this issue. read more

We were hesitant about going to Oasis Buffet in Hesperia because of the reviews. But since we like buffets and there aren't too many in the area, we went to try it out. Walking in we immediately found it clean, were seated right away, the restaurant was full of patrons. The buffet was full of fresh good looking dishes, many seafood items, sushi and sashimi. The taste was good, not amazing but was reasonable. We found a couple new items that we tried like the mango jello. Service was good too. $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids- I didn't mind paying because we left stuffed. I recommend going, especially if you like seafood and buffets. read more

It's truly the best buffet in the high Desert! Yes, I do think that some of the hot dishes are warm temp rather than hot. I think overall they've improved in sanitization of the counters and the floors. The quality of the food is great for the price. I think some of the dishes should be rotated out every hour, regardless if it's been sitting there too long or not. I think that sometimes depending on how long the food's been sitting out or how busy it is, the food taste like it's been sitting out for a while so the only thing that I would really improve on is the quality of the food coming out every hour I think that they should throw away the food after an hour or two rather than letting it sit all day if it's a slow day. read more

The idea of this place sounds great. I'm not a picky eater usually but the majority of this food was not edible. A lot of the food tasted old and 3 out of 6 of us had a stomachache after we walked out of the building. I probably tried 70 percent of the food they had to sample as much as possible. The only thing halfway decent was the ice cream. If you're going here for sushi, DONT. I spent $155 on 5 adults and a kid and the food was bland, old, highly processed and just plain nasty.
