Chow mein, Mongolian beef and orange chicken.
    Angelina M.

The food taste really good but the portions of Mongolian beef an Orange chicken were skimpy. He put the orange chicken in the little box and told me it was the same as the big white styrofoam plate and too much onion and little beef.

This is the sweet and sour lunch special served with hot and sour soup fried rice a spring roll and a little crispy wonton with hot tea.

I love this restaurant and I bring my family and friends here anytime they're in town and by far one of the best sit-down restaurants of any type of food here in the high desert. I've been going To this restaurant since It's the right ratio I moved up here about eight years ago And With the exception of the short time that they were closed down during covid I have been a regular customer And on Google Maps I've posted many photos of meals we have had. I will now put a picture up from the lunch I enjoyed 2 days ago.

    Crispy Egg rolls

This is hands down the best tasting Chinese food in Southern California. I go to all kinds of Chinese food restaurants. Fast food and sit down. The food here has deep, rich, umami flavors. Nothing tastes rushed. It tastes like the flavors sat next to a warm cozy fire for hours and had time to mature. The real gem is their homemade chili sauce. Omg that sauce just takes the food to another level. Deep dark flavor. This place is a hidden gem. Ran by a mom and son. Come get you some

Loved the seafood sizzling rice soup!!!!

Last second choice and late Sunday night dinner with my wife. We're so happy that we tried this place! We'll def be back!! The customer service is awesome! Very welcoming! She was extremely helpful with food portion sizes, explanation of dishes, and suggestions!

    Kung Pao Tofu is excellent

Kung Pao Tofu is excellent. It's a combination of chewy tofu, bamboo shoots, peanuts, bell peppers and red chilis in a slightly spicy and sweet brown sauce. Paper Wrapped Chicken is small seasoned chunks in foil triangles. Tastes zippy with the mustard and sweet & sour sauce.

    Kung Pao Chicken lunch combination.

The wontons were small but the filling tasted good. The proteins in the soup consisted of chicken and shrimp. There was plenty of meat for sure. The veggies were broccoli, celery, carrots, baby corn, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. The light broth had a good flavor as well. When I got this home, I found the container was 32 ounces filled to the brim. I added an avocado and lime juice to brighten the flavors but it was fine as is. It was one of the best valued wonton soups at under $10, considering the generous amount of ingredients in the soup. Highly recommended. I also ordered a Three Entree Combo meal. I had Orange Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, and BBQ Pork with sides of steamed rice and chow mein. The batter on the Orange Chicken was thick but it had a crispy crunch. Mushroom Chicken had mostly meat with just a few pieces of mushrooms and zucchini. BBQ Pork was seasoned well and tender with a few pieces of thick pork fat. These provided a textural contrast but are easily removed if desired. Not too sweet as well which is a plus. The ordered Veggie Egg Rolls were good with a ginger flavored filling. Overall, this combo was a satisfying meal with plenty of leftovers for later. Overall, a good experience with the food here. This Golden Chopstix location is on my list for a return visit, especially for the delicious Wonton Soup.

We got the stir-fried beef noodles, egg rolls, pot stickers, and the fried buns with condensed milk, and every dish was on point. The stir-fried beef noodles were the star -- super tender beef, perfectly cooked noodles, and great wok flavor. The egg rolls were crispy and filled just right, and the pot stickers were juicy with that perfect sear on the bottom. The fried buns were surprisingly good too -- warm, fluffy, and even better dipped in the condensed milk. The restaurant is clean, service was quick, and the food looks as good as it tastes (photo attached!). Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. Beef potstickers: Appealing looking but awkward to eat and seemed prepared from frozen. The meat was a little roll floating in the middle of the thick wonton wrapper. Pan fried on one side, a bit rubbery. Shredded Cucumber salad with garlic flavor was good with decent fresh cucumber. Scallion pancakes. Greasy. Unable to detect any scallion or onion flavor so I opened it. Tiny specs of what had to be those dried chives or green onion flakes. Scant amount. This is a simple, cheap fix for a usually delightful side order: Just chop up some fresh green onions and throw them in there. Easier on the oil & these would've been pretty good. Wouldn't order this unless they revamp this simple app. Distracting banging around of pots and pants in background. I guess it was pot washing time. Several customers ordered the dim sum and maybe that's the way to go. It's a no go for me.

No, I could place a second order to get the fried rice. Ok, whatever, I'll take the steamed rice. The Orange Chicken was like rubber. I tried to bite a piece in half and it wouldn't pull apart, so the whole piece went in my mouth and I had to use my fingers to pull it apart which was embarrassing on a first date! It didn't taste good either. I looked for a knife in the plastic silverware, but there was none. I then went for a bite of the rice and it was so stuck together that I really had to jam my fork into it. It had no flavor at all and I was not offered any kind of sauce for it. I got some salt, but it didn't help. It had obviously been in a cup and turned over on a plate (there was no bowl) so I don't see why they couldn't have substituted the fried rice. The carrots were rubbery too. The only thing half way good was the broccoli. I opted for water to drink because I couldn't see paying over $6 for flavored ice tea. I didn't want my date to feel bad for buying me such a horrible meal, so I managed to get a couple of bites down. He asked if I wanted a box. No, but I said yes, again not wanting him to feel bad. I tried the Orange Chicken again when I got home, using my paring knife, and it was still so bad that I threw the whole thing away. There were only 6-8 people in the place, but it was so noisy that I had to keep asking my date to repeat what he said because I couldn't hear him. I was looking forward to a new place to eat and the online menu looked so great... How sad.

I normally do not like fried or grilled tofu but this was different. Nice crunch on the outside and super creamy on the inside. They have a pink sauce in little packets and it is really good on the crunchy tofu. Not too sweet and just the right flavor. I also had a mango green tea with Boba. Of course it was delicious just the right amount of mango but it was sweet. The second time I visited I tried the shrimp chow mein and the crunchy tofu again and I tried peach black tea with Boba. The tea was delicious and sweet but really nice. I'm not sure how you could make that horrible. The shrimp chow mein was just OK to me. The noodles seemed gummy and I'm not used to that. We also had the sautéed gyoza. The first batch came out burnt, but they were very nice and very accommodating when we brought them back and they brought us another order that was perfect and delicious. By the way we ordered vegetarian Gyoza and it was surprisingly good. I have also had the Ramen at this restaurant and it is also excellent . Many choices and they're really good about cooking what you need. This is not a fancy place but the food is great and the girls at the order desk are really sweet!

They took our order about 15 minutes after we sat down. The mood is all about food. It has a cluster of smells when we entered in. Like cooked veggies. I ordered the roasted duck Al a mode, chicken, sizzling soup, and garlic bread. A coconut shrimp appetizer was also ordered. Don't get me wrong it looks like we were blasted back in time maybe the end of the 70's mixed with the end of the 80's with the hint of the beginning of the 90's. Although there's a mingling of different years within their restaurant don't get me wrong, It's comfortable. The shrimp is coconutty and arrived 15 minutes after we ordered it and it was fired well.. it's been 45 minutes and we wait for the soup, the chicken in the sizzling rice soup is great. The rice is authentically cooked. And it's good. High praise for the chicken sizzling rice soup. The garlic bread was served with the soup, it was just enough to collect a little soupy soup and make it to my belly welly. The duck was fatter than I remember. The parts of duck with the crunchy skin was awesome, the parts of the duck that didn't have crunchy skins, had more fat and the skin was flaccid and hard to eat and softer than I am accustomed to eating. We ordered a cream brûlée and it was the optimal choice for dessert. Wish it was hot inside but, that's just a dream. This place is a hidden gem. If you haven't tried good service and high end food you should give Chateau Chang a try. I give it 5 stars because the staff was sweet and nice. And the food is between good and great! Worth a 5 stars review they earned. We spent 92 dollars. We were here about an hour and 45 minutes. So plan accordingly. Have a great one yelpers.
