This place used to be good but, with the new ownership change, it isn't now. Probably the most disappointing BBQ Pork I have ever had. Previously, the pork is sliced to order. Now it is sliced ahead of time and the pieces sit in liquid until purchased. The pork absorbs whatever liquid it is in, making the meat an unappetizing color throughout. This did not add any moisture because the meat was already overcooked and dry to begin with. All the dark edges just means it is burned. The meat smelled burned. Other items, such as the Sweet and Sour Pork and Orange Chicken consisted mainly of thick fried batter and very little meat. The Orange Chicken did, however, have a tangy, citrusy sauce which tasted good. They may be experiencing some growing pains with the new ownership change. I should return in a few months to see if there is any improvement. The price point currently is not worth it due to the rather poor food quality. read more

I presently door dashed and they did not put any condiments or utensils they put the beef broccoli in without closing the container and of course it spilled all over also I order sweet and sour pork but they left out when I called nobody cared or did anything also door dashed did nothing. 2.5 stars. The food was not good. Mainly, the bbq pork was just about inedible as it was over cooked or perhaps old, and the black hard parts made for a difficult chew. The pepper chicken was overwhelmingly peppered. That's all I could taste was black pepper. I have been to two Chinese fast food places in Victorville so far, and they have both sucked for one reason or another. I'm probably going to stop trying to eat Chinese food in this town LOL. The fried rice, chow mein and bbq pork were all delicious. I didn't care for the spicy garlic chicken. The skin was flabby but the chicken was dry and it had zero garlic flavor and wasn't spicy at all. I would absolutely go back for the bbq pork though. It was super flavorful and tender. read more

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered food from them today, and it was honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had. Everything had a strange taste, like it had been sitting in the freezer way too long and was completely freezer burned. It was a huge waste of money, and I definitely won't be going back. This is my favorite Chinese place when you go around 130 or 2:00 PM the food is really really fresh. I love it. They have the best teriyaki chicken that I love. And the rest of the food is really good too. I can't wait to go back to try some more and get me some more. It's really delicious when you get it real good and fresh. read more

The service is stellar! The staff keeps the food area really clean. The seating area feels a little dirty. The floor feels sticky, the chairs feel grimy, and so do the tables. The food is delicious. I just was not impressed with literally anything from here. Food was bland even with soy sauce on it. The chow mein noodles had me questioning whether there was any seasoning at all. The bbq pork was an upcharge (which is kind of odd) and came burnt and dry. Tough, like chewing on an eraser. The beef and broccoli was separate in the hot holding area, so there's no sauce on the broccoli. Overall just disappointing, and pricier than Golden Chopsticks which has much better food than here. Idk what happened, but the quality of this food has gone down. I ordered just vegetables, noodles and cream cheese won tons. Or I thought I did. There's no cream cheese in them like it use to be, seems like they put condensed milk in it. And it's less than a half of teaspoon of filling in them. There too sweet. I will start out by saying that I used to frequent this place often. I probably not been there for I'd say roughly 7 months. The reason I stopped going there was because the large portions that they used to give you which was value for your money disappeared. And especially if there's an older lady there, she's extremely skimpy and wants to charge extra for everything. The other reason was because they would be out of common items and want you to wait 1015 minutes but they have other stuff that you could get instead. A perfect example was Kung pow chicken kind of a staple in a way. You're running out you would think they'd call it in but instead they want to leave remnants of burnt food behind and expect someone to take it. And the last time I was there it was that situation and I said you know what never mind cause they weren't gonna make anything fresh and it's like 4 o'clock in the afternoon and you're still open for at least another four hours so it's not like it's not gonna get Sold. So I just left there and honestly, I was hungry for Chinese food and I was specifically hungry for Kung pow and when I saw it was gonna be the older lady help me I was like shit. First question was are you gonna have any fresh Kung pow chicken because that's old and I'm sorry it's not very appealing. No no more until that's gone you want it no, I don't. So I got a two item combo and I'll say I would get a three item and it would last me a few meals. So I ordered mushroom chicken and pepper chicken and I saw she was putting a skimpy amount. I said excuse me can you add a little bit more? She would not even respond. She looked at me. She knew what I said and then asked did I want a soup and I said yes I'll take the hot and sour. You know I always thought that the food quality and the service is better there than golden chopsticks. Things have changed and not for the better. The food was good but the service is not. The people are rude. I would give the food a 4 and the people 0, so I decided to make it a 2. I have never been here before and the lady seemed in a hurry to take our order. I asked her if they have shrimp and she said no. I asked her if they do it like as a made to order thing and she said yes. I asked if I could order fried shrimp and she said they don't do fried shrimp- only shrimp and vegetables. So I asked if that had a sauce- I just wanted to make sure I was going to like what I was ordering. The lady looked so irritated that I was asking any questions about the food. She kind of rolled her eyes and asked another lady if this was in a sauce. The lady was like, "yeah- light sauce or dark sauce". Like I'm supposed to have any idea what that means. They were making it too difficult to place a simple order so I told them to forget the shrimp. The restaurant was not very busy and there was no reason to make it so difficult to place an order. When I sat down, I saw a fried shrimp appetizer on their menu. If they were to get friendlier and more helpful employees, I think this place would be great. read more

The service was ok the people were friendly enough the place was clean and very busy. Sadly I'm both my husband and son got food poisoning. My husband had the teriyaki chicken with chowmein and my son had the orange chicken with chowmein so we are guessing it was the chowmein that was bad. Really solid Chinese fast food for a good price. Portions were really large, food was fresh and tasted good, and I like that they give you a side of soup with your combo b. We got orange chicken and spicy garlic chicken and both were crispy and flavorful. Great orange peel taste to the orange chicken, and a nice strong garlic flavor with the spicy garlic. Not very spicy though. Egg flower soup was creamy and rich, almost reminiscent of a bone broth. Hot and sour is very well seasoned, with a nice pungent savory vinegar flavor. $21 for two combos with two decent sized side soups. Staff was nice and generous with the portions. Might have to be my new go to in the high desert. Definitely give them a try. read more

Everything tasted so bland. I used to love eating the noodles, spicy garlic chicken, and BBQ pork. The food just wasn't the same as my childhood. This place has been in the Food 4 Less shopping center for a very long time so this place was a staple growing up for me. However, not sure if it was nostalgia goggles (nostalgia tastebuds?) when I was younger but I swore this place was a lot better. So being in town and having the chance to try it again after being gone for so long I had to try it out. Pros: - Portion sizes for their plates was like I remembered. They didn't skimp on the entrees and the choice of noodles or rice was as I remembered. - menu items weren't greasy like the items you find in other Chinese restaurants - appetizers looked good and the one I tried, the hot and sour soup, was very yummy. - prices looked like they hadn't changed in years. Con: - service at the counter could have been better. Even though their were a few ladies working behind the hot trays, their flow was disorganized and slowed things down. - charging extra $0.35 for particular entree items. From the looks of it, those items are local favorites like BBQ pork and teriyaki chicken. - quality of the entrees seemed to have slip. Not sure if it is a different supplier or the cook from years ago retired but quality definitely could have been better. Overall this place was okay. Definitely made me question my childhood tastebuds but it was at least close enough that I can say it was edible and suffices my curiosity. Maybe not worth a return trip but if things change I could definitely see myself giving it a second chance. read more

I was in the middle of ordering my food and my server ignored me to ask her coworker if she got her ice cream from the back. Then after every item I order she keeps asking me "that's it? I don't like chow mein or fried rice, so, I opted for plain rice. My rice was a little smushy. For my entree, I got the bbq pork. The pork was tasty however, the sauce for the pork was a little watery. I also got their beef stick. The beef stick is made to order. It costs $2.99. It is thinly sliced beef on a stick. It kind of tasted like chow mein. Once I got down the line to pay, I saw that they have sweet n sour chicken. I had to get some. I got a small side of it. When I finally tasted the chicken it was a little hard. I didn't know how long it has been done. I think that if I ordered it fresh, it would of tasted better. However, their sweet n sour sauce was tasty. For all the food, I ordered it was $12 and some change. Overall, my food was good. It could of been a little better. The service was good. My best friend did nothing but say how great this Chinese food place was. We were in the area visiting her sister in Apple Valley it was still a drive from her place to here. It was my first time and I wanted to see what they offered and if anything really caught my eye to try. But we walked in and like 8 girls behind the counter demanding what we wanted. I told her I wanted half & half (rice & noodles) but I'd like to look at the other items then she completely stood there not saying or doing anything my friend try ordering but still she stood there looking at us with a blank stare I started to get annoyed because the other girls were helping other customers around us as if we weren't standing in line trying to get our items too. I quickly just picked items and let my friend take over with ordering cause this girl just had no clue what she was doing. She offered the soup but we couldn't hear her talk. So that was another mishap. I ended up with the hot and spicy but low key best mistake. We paid and I told my friend this better be good cause that was a mess I'm a new customer and they rushed us like as if they were busy I didn't even get to see what all they had or offered. Even tho the customer service sucked the food was amazing I hadn't had orange chicken that actually tasted like fresh orange flavor in it. The food had a lot of flavor. The soup was tasty not too spicy but had a good rich kick to it. The chow mein was the best I'm picky when it comes to noodles but these were not greasy or weird tasting.
