OMG this place is a real winner! It does get busy, so get up and get there early if you can. My husband and I have been here twice so far for breakfast and we've loved absolutely everything we've tried. They had fresh squeezed pink grapefruit juice the first time we went and it was the best I've ever had. Their pancakes are unbelievably good; so moist and pillowy, savory and and absolutely heavenly when topped with their freshly whipped butter and maple syrup. The savory dishes are great, too. I had the Eggs Casey last time and it was excellent. Everything is also very filling. I couldn't finish my meal last time. What I think I love most about this place is the amount of attention and care they put into every detail and ingredient. There is such a focus on freshness and everything being made in house from scratch. The cream for the coffee is so fresh and rich. It's clear the pancakes come from scratch. The local bacon is to die for. The lattes are fantastic. To top it off, it's always been clean and presentable inside. I love the rustic cabin feel and the views of the town are nice. The staff is friendly and despite the fact that they get busy, we've never waited too long to be seated. Service is great and at a reasonable speed: not too slow and not rushed. Literally such a blessing to Silverdale having the Oak Table Cafe here. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which were to die for and came atop a layer of potato pancakes, and my mom ordered a mushroom omelet and opted for buttermilk pancakes as the side instead of the potato pancakes. The buttermilk pancakes were amazing, too, and my mom enjoyed her omelet. Sure, the prices are a bit steep, but the quality of food makes that okay and worth it in my opinion. I may not live in Silverdale/Bremerton anymore, but I know the Oak Table Cafe will be a stop I make each time I visit. Got here at about 1030 this morning and was given a 45 minute wait which was expected. It was nice that we were able to run errands and have them call me when our table was ready. Very appreciative of that. We ordered chocolate pancakes, eggs Benedict, eggs benny, Italiano omelet and an apple pancake. Our food took a little over a half hour to arrive. The apple pancake and French toast tasted a bit too eggy for us but was still good. The breakfast potatoes were a little under cooked. Both egg bennys were tasty though and the chocolate pancakes were throughly enjoyed by our nine y Our server wasn't as attentive as we thought he would be but was pleasant. I feel like i would come back to try other things but I'm not sure if the wait was worth it this time. Overall we spent 3 hours here including the wait time when we got here to place our name. Three stars because service was lacking for the price of what we spent here. UPDATE: We came today at noon and was seated at around 1230. The wait time was shorter than the last time and the service was better this time around. We have the eggs Benedict, Mexican omelet, and fruit crepe. The omelet came with 3 buttermilk pancakes. I know the crepes are called something else but i can't remember. Sorry. The crepes were super yummy and the Benedict was enjoyed by my husband. He got that the last time we came and enjoyed it as well. I had the omelet and found it a little dry but i think it might has been just a texture thing for me. It was good and the sauce on top was really flavorful. The buttermilk pancakes were really really good. Lol. My husband LOVED them. Adding a star to our review for our much better experience today. Such a cute place! I loved the decor here and the views are amazing even on a foggy day. I had the chocolate chip pancakes which were delicious and so filling that I could only eat about a third. My boyfriend tried the apple pancake. It was so good a HUGE. It was more like a dessert than a pancake. It easily could be split between two people or just shared between a table as a starter. Originally my mouth, mind, and body was ready for grits, butter and sugar (it's a down South thang). However, this place don't serve grits so let's discuss all that they did have to offer. Great service: it started with a 30 min wait outside, that wasn't really bad or long, except for the fact once again I'm a Texas kinda girl, it's warm this time of the year, was so happy for my sweater that kept me warm. The customer service was WONDERFUL, I mean staff was on it. Seating was spacious and even with a packed house conversation amongst the tables was very comfortable and cozy, with noise reduction. Our waitress Helen was over the top friendly and very comforting, she was soooooo attentive, which was truly appreciated. Plate size and portion size was just enough, our order was prepared just as asked, I love pancakes with pecans mixed in the batter, can you believe the chef gave me a healthy portion, by healthy I mean he wasn't stingy at all, he/she even placed a few on top, it was to die 4! I wasn't a big fan of the eggs, I ordered scrambled with cheese blended in, which came unscrambled with cheese on top, the eggs tasted powder or liquid instead of regular carton eggs which provided a false taste of chicken eggs. Bacon however was thick crispy and super delicious. I'm a coffee drinker and a mug collector, so I traded the original itsy bitsy normal size mug, for one of there personal collective mug that was on sell for $16 (don't judge me, I like mugs). Speaking of coffee, staff makes sure you never see the bottom of your beverage cups, they come around constantly with refills in hand. This place is fantastic. We've been away for almost three years and came back to have breakfast at the best place in Kitsap. Ross and his staff are amazing and the food is spectacular. The wait is long because so many people want to eat here, so if you want excellent you may have to wait for a while. Someone recently posted about this place not offering a military discount. My thoughts, as an active duty service member myself, are that we shouldn't feel entitled doing so gives the rest of us a bad name. Ross and his family support the military 110% and he doesn't need to show that through a military discount. You also get what you pay for here - great food and great service will cost more, period. If I wanted cheap food at nowhere near the quality I'd head to Denny's or IHOP. Go here if you want a great breakfast and excellent service. LOVE everything about the new location: stained glass and all the nice decor in a cool Aspen-like lodge, excellent service, and still the best brunch food around! GET THE BACON. Tastiest bacon ever. I also really enjoyed the fluffy French-style baked omelet (the Spanish omelet has over 20 ingredients and an amazing homemade marina sauce), and it comes with 3 tasty (also very fluffy) buttermilk pancakes. The apple pancake is HUGE. Worth getting at least once even though there are so many other delicious choices here. The mochas are delicious and HUGE, topped with a very generous overflow of whipped cream. I'm not sure why this place gets such good reviews and I'm one who's easily pleased when someone else cooks for me. I usually overrate a restaurant if it's good at all. The potato pancakes are mushy, the German pancake was super dense and eggy, instead of poofy, the buttermilk pancakes are ok but nothing to write home about. Best bet is eggs or an omelette with their actually very very good bacon. That I would rate a 5. The coffee is good too. Nice view if you're lucky enough to get a table by the window and portions are big. They are polite and seem to really enjoy their job, and lives too lol. The food is SO DAMN GOOD. Every time i come, i HAVE to order something different because everything is so yummy. The portions are huge! If I'm with a lot of other people we order one of almost everything and share. If it's just me and a girlfriend, i know I'll have leftovers. Their orange juice is so fresh!!! They don't offer free refills so i try and savor it as much as i can but it's super hard!!!! And the mimosas are good too!! I've come to the oak table a million times so I'm not shook when they tell me the wait time is over an hour. Just be mindful that this place is extremely popular that there will be a wait. Easily the best Omelet I've ever had, my wife had the blue berry cobbler French toast and smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was and even looked fantastic. Everything came out fresh and gourmet, we did not expect this to be as fancy as it was because it's next to a retirement center. You can first make this determination by looking at the parking lot when you arrive - it's always full, even at 8am shortly after it opens. We usually show up about then for a weekend brunch. What's the difference you ask? Generally we get Bloody Mary's with a brunch, not with breakfast, but does it really matter the name? In the lobby you will generally find people waiting. That's right, it is rare you will walk right in and be seated. Again, there is a reason for that - the food and service are excellent. And in case you haven't already guessed it, the ambiance suits the name, there is oak wood everywhere, in addition to interesting Knick knacks and decorations. The menu is where you will find a breakfast lover's dream. With so many selections, you could have a different meal every time you arrive for a year, but I might be embellishing some, or am I? read more

The good: Eggs Nicole were delicious, on top of a buttery croissant and the potato pancakes (served with sour cream & apple sauce) were the right touch of carby/sweet when eaten with the apple sauce. The bad: The apple pancake is what this place is famous for... neither of us liked it. It was overly eggy - tasted like sweet eggs - or like the batter wasn't mixed in thoroughly. And then the cinnamon/sugar icing/topping was too sweet. Neutral: Bacon was bacon. I enjoyed the egg dish enough that I'd go back to try more of the savory dishes, and maybe the waffle... but I can't say it's a fave place right now. Was recommended to us by my fiancés coworker. Went on a Wednesday mid-day. Put our names down and was told it was a 25ish minute wait. We left to go get gas at the Safeway a half mile away. When we got back it had been about 15-20 minutes. We didn't expect to wait another 20 minutes. Once we were seated we quickly knew what we wanted to order. We ordered and the food came. I got the blueberry cobbler French toast and my fiancé got the ham and cheese scramble. My French toast was not what I expected at all. There was a handful of fresh blueberries on top of a massive pile of whipped cream. The "cobbler" part of the French toast was really just some oatmeal sprinkled throughout. The bread itself was VERY eggy and not even dipped in the egg correctly. One side had noticeable egg that hadn't soaked in so it cooked on top of the bread. There was no spices in the French toast so it tasted just like egg bread. My fiancés scramble was just okay. The eggs tasted like they were powder eggs. Also, my fiancé wasn't very hungry and the scrambles come with 3 pancakes on the side. He asked the waiter if he could just not have the pancakes and the waiter said that was fine and the charge of the scramble would be a little less to accommodate the lack of pancakes. When we got the bill, it wasn't reduced and everything was a little more expensive than the menu prices. Do NOT recommend this restaurant for breakfast. read more

I wish I had the recipe for their 49ers flapjacks, because I could eat those every morning. The menu is so extensive that it can be hard to choose what you want to eat. Great selection of savory and sweet options. It was fun that they blew the train whistle every time certain dishes were ordered (pretty sure one was the apple pancakes, but I think there might be another that cues the train whistle). We haven't been to eat in-house since the pandemic hit, but this restaurant is normally very busy, so the best time to go is as soon as they open. A great family atmosphere. From the fresh cream for coffee to the fresh squeezed orange juice The Oak Table has gone out of their way to make your dining experience that of a home cooked family meal. At this point we've tried just about everything on the menu and you really can't go wrong. If this is your first time make sure to order a 'syrup sampler' which comes with classic maple, blueberry, apple and strawberry. They are all divine and made in house. I had a delicious omelet, apple pancake, and my daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes and once they even let us substitute for a kid portion of the blueberry pancakes. Every single time the food is spot on. Service is great too. No complaints. If you get confused where this place is, I was too on my first visit there.
