What a great lodge and restaurant tucked away in the NC mountains. The first time DH and I had dinner here, it was a foggy, drizzly evening on Nov so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the view, but the service and food was amazing, TY Trevor! We recently went back for brunch (sorry no pics), another drizzly day, but got a peak at the view and the food and service was again amazing. Whether you go for dinner or brunch I highly recommend a reservation, which can be made online. We will be back in the summer, hopefully to enjoy that amazing view!

Fantastic meal. Top shelf service, (thank you Rob) and top shelf food. The sides are family style. Steaks had a perfect char and cooked to order perfectly. Our first trip was a five star so we decided to go back and make sure it was just as good. Our guest had the fish, we had the steak. And we had to save room for the dessert prepared by a legit pastry chef!

Came back this year with friends and had an AMAZING meal! I felt like it was even better than last year. Our steaks were perfect. They had one slice of their amazing gluten free chocolate cake left it was unreal. 10/10 experience. Service was excellent. Espresso martini was the best of my life. Eat here. Just do it.

8oz filet with assortment of family style sides including brussel sprouts, truffle fries, Mac and cheese and mushrooms. Perfection

Everything! Delicious wine, meal and dessert! We will definitely be back! Can't say enough about this place

Our second time dining here and it does not disappoint. Absolutely amazing service and food.

Oysters Rockefeller and pork belly bother were amazing.

We had the Ribeye, drunken mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. It was all amazing and our waiter Rob was excellent!

Best steak and sides! My ribeye had the perfect temperature and sear, complimented perfectly with fresh baked bread, iceberg wedge salad, brussel sprouts, and mushrooms. Service was fantastic! I wish I could tell you about the desserts, but we had no room to add anymore. It's pricey, but great place to splurge while in the Highlands for a romantic evening or special occasion!

The service was good. We had Scott, he was nice and took care of us. However he recommended the trout and it was not that good. My wife had the filet and it was great

We came for brunch on a Saturday at about 11:30. Beautiful restaurant with very nice views. As appetizers we had the deviled eggs (delicious) and pastry basket (excellent). For brunch we ordered the turkey melt which came with truffle fries, very generous portion; the chicken & waffles which was amazing; the stuffed hashbrown (a little too rich); the eggs Benedict which came with the most delicious potatoes (crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside) and the chicken fried steak. Server was friendly and very efficient. The bloody Mary's were also wonderful!

Breakfast poutine- incredible and big enough for two

It's such a beautiful and peaceful space to dine, especially with the amazing Spring and Fall temps they get there. We were with a party of 6 (plus a baby), and walked up without a reservation a bit late in the evening. We figured we'd try it and see if we could get in if it wasn't too late, and luckily enough, the hostess was kind enough to make it happen for us! The menu actually has a lot of variety for a wine garden - drinks and food wise. I started with the French onion soup and it was delicious. The Caesar salad was also quite yummy, but the meatloaf was the showstopper of the night! I am still dreaming of it now, and wish I could replicate it myself because it was that good and memorable! For dessert, I ordered the affogato which is their house made vanilla bean ice cream with an espresso shot and it was the perfect ending to the night! Our server was so attentive and kind, and constantly checked in on us and cleared our plates since the tables are a bit on the smaller side. I had an excellent experience all around!

Apparently we were very unlucky when it came to bar seating this trip We ordered the burrata to start. It was fresh and absolutely delicious. But our Hot Pig pizza seemed to miss the mark. The sauce that was drizzled on top didn't seem to add anything to the dish. It just kind of fell flat after such a delicious start. We finished off with a bit of gelato which was also super yummy! And the coffee was wonderful but it was served so hot that we had to wait a while before even being able to sip it. Overall it was a good dinner, we just wished we had gone with a different pizza

Four of us grabbed spots at the bar, ordered Aperol Spritzes, and immediately settled in. We shared the salad and the veggie pizza, and on our waitress's advice added pepperoni--and wow, was that the right move. This pizza is the real deal: incredible color, a perfectly crisp, crunchy crust, and layers of flavor that genuinely blew us away. I make pizza at home (yes, with an Ooni), and this is the kind of pie that makes you pause mid‑bite and say, "Okay... they know what they're doing." Not floppy, not overdone--just expertly made and insanely satisfying. The atmosphere sealed the deal. Sitting at the bar felt fun and communal, with friendly locals, fellow visitors, and staff all contributing to the vibe. It was welcoming, lively, and exactly the energy you want when you first roll into town. Phenomenal pizza, great drinks, and a spot that understands hospitality. The restaurant is located on the main street that runs through the town making it easy to find. Be sure to make a reservation as it fills up quickly. The staff we encountered during both visits were friendly and professional. The food was exceptional each visit. The eggplant parmigiana starter was tender and so flavorful. Three of the four of us ordered it on the second visit as it was that good. The beef carpaccio and meatball starter were also enjoyed. For entrees we had the trout Frances, stuffed halibut special, the gnocchi special, the mushroom tortellini and the linguine pescatore. All dishes were delcious while the trout Frances, mushroom tortellini and linguine pescatore were our favorites. It is worth mentioning their gnocchi could not have been better prepared as it was like a fluffy pillow as gnocchi should be. Had it been paired with the truffle sauce from the mushroom tortellini then it would have been perfection. For dessert, we sampled several ice creams, sorbets, the tiramisu and the Blueberry Coconut Layered cake. The raspberry sorbet and cappuccino Oreo gelato were the fan favorites for the dessert course. The restaurant is very cute and rustic, giving a nice classy feel. We got the French onion soup and fried mushrooms. The soup was a solid classic and the mushrooms were crispy on the outside and juicy and soft on the inside. We split the country fried steak with a loaded baked potato and the creamed spinach. All three things were absolutely excellent and tasted home cooked. We got an Apple baked crisp with ice cream on it for dessert. It was baked to order, but was a little too overpowering with the cinnamon.
