They had Highlands Cold Mountain Ale on draft, so I went with that, but the wines that came out to the rest of the table were also delicious. We came with a large party of people and had a reservation in the back. Our server was very attentive and helpful with wine selections. Also, she wasn't sure about a recommendation for a specific wine, so the owner came out and helped as well, which was very nice. They were out of a few of the wines we wanted to try, but it was the day after Christmas and that was completely expected. What we had was fantastic. We did not order food because we had another reservation for dinner, but both the server and the owner made sure to let us know that if we were ordering food for a large group, they have a very small kitchen and it would take a little longer to accomplish everyone. The bar staff service here is great, always polite, professional, and can carry a great conversation. That's why I return. The owner seems as though he means well but comes across as the type of guy who can't leave things alone and ends of being more of a pain in the ass when he attempts customer service. Sorry dude but just make sure things run well and trust your staff. I have seen this guy have a mini melt down when kitchen gets busy, kinda funny and sad at same time. Really love this place. Saw a sign outside of it saying their special was French onion soup and a Tuscan chicken flatbread and after a day of hiking we wanted a snack and to warm up! We each got the soup and shared the flatbread and I truly think I'll be dreaming of that flatbread for months to come (not a local so I'll have to hold it in my memory). The ambiance is good and cute, and towards the end of our meal a live musician began playing. Our waitress was okay, she was not great and she was running around a lot, despite it not seeming too busy. But, we were really there to just nibble and hang so we didn't mind. This is the most consistent place in town. It looks small from the outside but don't let it fool you, there is ample space to relax and enjoy a bottle of wine whether alone or with a group. The bar area is comfortable and either has pleasant music playing or something live on some weekends. There are chairs, tables, and even small couches to sit and relax. The employees are always incredibly nice and helpful. I've never had bad service here. That's rare in this small town. The food menu is limited but absolutely excellent. There are meat and cheese trays that you can customize, flatbreads, paninis, as well as a few other items. All my meals here have been delicious. Bonus feature is half price bottles on Wednesday. I feel a little sad that this is the only wine bar in Brevard because the markup on everything they sell is not good. There isn't anything they do that you couldn't do for yourself, so long as you're willing to run down to the local Ingles and get it yourself. The stuff on their charcuterie plates is stuff you can buy in the deli section pretty easily; it's not semi-rare or special stuff. We even saw one of the wait staff rushing into the restaurant with food from Ingles that they were clearly going to put on charcuterie plates. You're better off just trying to find a place in Asheville that does the same thing for better or getting some good bottles for yourself and hanging out on your porch when the weather is good. It's a shame, because the staff is really nice and accommodating overall, and the space is nice and cozy too. read more

Wandering through Brevard we literally stumbled across this place & absolutely loved it. We had our dog with us & they had outdoor seating which was awesome but it was quite cold. Possibly the only wine bar in Brevard. Not bad, not great. First time here after walking by multiple times. Good wine list with a more than expected food menu. Now for the gut punch. The place is cute don't get me wrong, but no. We ordered the pumpkin soup and a glass of wine. Wine was delicious but pumpkin soup was terrible. It didn't take like pumpkin at all, and when asked before ordering was told vegetarian. This was a LIE! The soup was chicken broth based and it tasted like such. What is fantastic find in downtown Brevard North Carolina on main street. We enjoyed both the turkey and cheddar Panini and the Apple Manchego cheese Panini. All of Brevard is now dog friendly and we ate on the back porch where they gave our pet fresh bowl of water.
