We were greeted as soon as we entered the store by the owner. It has a welcoming and warm vibe. Mewdlic's is a beautiful store that has countless wonderful gifts. They have a great selection of wine, craft beer, and a massive selection of fine teas. They also carry a small selection of baked goods. The day we stopped in they had this massive, beautiful carrot cake. I love carrot cake and bought a slice to bring home. I will be back and it will be soon! Check it out.

I love the ambiance of the old converted gas station, the fact that you can sit inside or outside (and on chilly days, they don't skimp on the heaters) and the carousel of great food trucks that are always there. I love that you're not limited to one brewery's offerings, and instead have options from local NC establishments to interesting brews from all over the country. The bartenders know their regulars and are absolutely awesome, and I LOVE that I can take my pup, take my family, take my laptop---whatever the circumstances, Blue Ridge Beer Garden is the place to be. ALSO, it should be noted that in sleepy Hendo (where some restaurants close as early as 8 pm--why??), Blue Ridge Beer Garden is blessedly open till 10.

Owners Julie, Lou, and daughter Jess have created an atmosphere that's intoxicating and I'm not even talking about the brewery. They welcome you with a smile and a kind word. I'm kind of a homebody and usually not much on being sociable, but Sideways has a lure and a draw that's hard to resist. I love that it's kid friendly. I love the bartenders. I love the smell of the food trucks. I love the live music. Heck, what's not to love about Sideways in little old Etowah, NC?

Such a cool space to partner with other local partners in order to meet a lot of needs. The entryway was also stunning as well as very clean and accessible restrooms that have a very industrial rustic vibe which place do the historical nod honoring its past. Salad was first served with zero dressing (yuk) my husband took it back had salad dressing added he said it was good. I had the wings (teriyaki), they were hot, crispy and delicious. I will definitely.order them again. On the bar side - Trailside bartender was "unfriendly" several in our party ordered sodas and mixed drinks, the woman bartender was indifferent with an attitude, like it was a bother to take a drink order. I returned for a refill of soda and was told nastily "$3 we don't do refills" WOW! Really??? No need to be nasty I didn't know and last time I was there the bartender happily refilled my soda-(which was mostly ice) Obviously this lady dislikes her job! No matter how fun or nice a place is or how good the food, if service is lacking or server gives a negative attitude people won't return. I would give 5 stars to Trailside Brewing if service would have been friendly and smiled.
