Our server recommended the bourbon cider and it was very tasty and we ended up taking some home with us. Parker-Binns is very easy to reach from 74, and rewards you with an absolutely gorgeous vista! They don't do flights, but the bartender will make recommendations and let you try something you are interested in. The Watchman was the biggest red, we recommend it to Cabernet fans. Food -- sandwiches & fries -- is paid for separately and was tasty. This is a wonderful spot to spend an hour or two enjoying the sunshine. read more

A little bit out of the way but the winery was so beautiful it was worth the extra distance. Parking was a bit limited but it was super busy when we arrived. Not sure if they stay that busy on a regular basis but it is worth keeping in mind. The inside had seating but didn't seem to be open so we went outside. There is a large outdoor (covered) bar and seating area. There are also tons of spots on the grass. The wine wasn't the best I've had but it wasn't bad. Came here on a girls' weekend and this was our 1st stop. I loved the fact that the entire family works at the vineyard and it was awesome hearing the stories of why each wine was named what it was. (Lulu's after the vineyard dog, Maggie after the family's grandmother). There was a fantastic view sitting on the back deck and the FOOD. The food was incredible. I had the pretzel with asiago cheese and the jalapeño pimento cheese (both recommended.) I could have spent all day here, but we had other stops and had to leave. You can't go wrong here. read more

Wow! I don't think I've ever loved a vineyard more. The service and staff were excellent. I'm a dog person, so it's extremely important that my babies feel welcomed and loved more than me. They were treated like little royalty. And they were obsessed with this place as much as we were. We had two apps, the deviled eggs and the wonton pork tacos. We shared an entree (not pictured) because I ate it so fast, the Schorr's double cheeseburger and the dogs had a burger from the pet menu as well. They ate theirs almost as fast as I ate mine. But the vibe, was beyond spectacular. The view was breathtaking. We went at the perfect time and got to walk around and watch the sun set with the boys and we saw some friendly farm animals. But I will say, the wineeeeee, ughhhhhh!!! I could drink it every day and not get tired of it. We had the red wine flight sample and each one was perfect. Had a great time here. Stopped in on the way to a weekend getaway in the NC mountains. Several people inside but not crowded. Wine was really nice, especially the Merlot. Great vineyard! We visited on a girls trip, and we were very satisfied with our visit. The owner is super sweet & knowledgeable. I found out that this began as a hobby after retirement! Super impressive. The view was fabulous & the tasting was great. Even had live music when we were there. We loved the "Kick Ass Cider" & the Loco LuLu wine! We ordered burgers from the Burger Barn, and they took quite a while. To make up for the wait, they provided us with cake that WAS DELICIOUS! So thoughtful. Highly recommend! read more

First time visitor to this vineyard last weekend. If you like peace & quiet, while taking in the lush vistas...this is NOT your place! Reminded me more of a bar than a vineyard. I will acknowledge that my opinion may be clouded by the poor service. (I was told that they usually have 7 servers on a Saturday, but only 4 last weekend). While I appreciate a winery in the mountains, I have to take off two stars for two pet peeves of mine. 1. No changing tables in the restrooms. Please, please add some changing tables. This place is family friendly, it's a shame there's no place to change a diaper. 2. "Pink or no pink" - I hate this statement. There's no doubt, at the top of that list, my wife and I will recall Karen, Bob and Kelly- all are exceptional people. I mean beautiful. You'll always leave feeling good equally from sharing time with the peeps as well as enjoying the vino. And the views! Wow. Whether up at the barn or at the warm lower area, the views are beautiful and memorable. These people are on their game as vintners in the growing capacity. Their new-in-2018 Petite Manseng may be the best dry white in NC. Their rose is special and all the reds rock. From the first time we came, when we scheduled to come for 1 hour and stayed for 5, and every time since, we've had a blast. My favorite NC Winery. I love the family that created this winery. They are always welcoming, friendly and love what they do and love sharing it with their guest. The tasting room offers good pours and a lot of stories. Outside offers good music, free brick over pizza (Sundays) and a beautiful view of the vineyards. Bring your own picnic or purchase fresh bread, local crackers and amazing cheese. We had the goat cheese with pepper jelly and ate entire container! (Brought one home with us too). Very charming/quaint winery that my group of friends stumbled on as we were in the mountains and did not have internet or phone service to find an alternative plan when it was raining one day. There are many times when I've been to a winery and only enjoyed one of their bottles - this was NOT the case here. They had several excellent selections to pick from. Don't know what you want - get a flight. It truly is the best way to experience all the place has to offer. My personal favorites were the Chardonnay, Rosé and black-berry wines. Not only are the wines delectable, but the setting is equally as appealing! Lush gardens surrounding a nice covered deck so you can sip you wine in the shade and enjoy the view. Barn animals you're thing - they have some friendly 4 legged creatures (and two) to stop by and see as well. The owners are equally as cool and enjoyable to talk to. I really loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to go back! The Sunday we were there, they were serving wood fired pizza as well. So yummy and they even made us some vegetarian versions which was cool of them since they were free and they certainly didn't have to do that. read more

This is probably one of the better wineries in the area. this was a second stop on our wine tour through Rumor Has It. (check it out, a cool wine bar in Rutherfordton) When we arrived, the place was packed with people as they were having a Mingle-Mixer. Customers bring dishes to share. Anything from chilli, dips, desserts. the winery also has brick-oven pizzas on Sunday. Karen is just the coolest person you'll meet. The wines are on the sweeter side from the muscadine grape and a chardonnay accented with granny smith apples and Asian pear. One of my other favorites is a 100 percent merlot that is semi-sweet. Also try the Loco Lulu and the blackberry. They have a inside taste room but also have many, many outdoor seating areas to just sit and relax or have a party with friends. This will be a place for me to come to many times a year. read more

A truly delightful little vineyard! I came here on a Saturday, when they were supposed to closed early for a private party. Still, Karen let us do a tasting of their delightful wines. She and her husband Bob are delightful and knowledgeable people, which made our experience even better. The Pea Ridge White was the best wine there. Mildly sweet and quite fruity, it is a great summer wine. If you like blackberries, the Blackberry wine was just like the fruit - mild sweet, a little tart, and bursting with flavor. You can get a tasting of all their wines there for $7, and she also sells some little snacks to go with your wine. When they aren't closed for parties, they have a delightful garden area you can walk around and a patio to look out over the vineyards and mountains. Truly, it is lovely.
