Meatballs
Mark R.

I visited the restaurant side on this trip, but would probably do the lounge side next time. Looks a little more lively and you can get the full menu sitting at the bar. Ordered a half order (8) of the meatballs and the Signature salad with chicken. Both were good. Always tough to fully judge a place just by appetizers or salads, but based on this experience I'd go back and try an entree.

Chicken Sandwich with Sprouts

5 stars for being dog friendly. They brought two water bowels to our table on the patio for our pups. Their patio is also on the shade said of the building so it was cool for dinner. Nice water feature next to the patio too. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Cocktail list is ok, nothing too fancy. Decent beer selection and wine list looked extensive. Salmon was hot and cooked well. Sauce was delicious. Had to try the "crispy fries" and they were good. Chicken sandwich was decent, nothing to write home about. Brussels sprouts were good. Would dine here again, especially with pups.

The litter on the floor.

We reserved a table for 13 weeks in advance, and upon arrival were ushered into a chilly room with a dirty tile carpet floor. We needed to rearrange the tables so that we were able to sit together. We asked the waitress for the room to be warmer and were advised that it was not possible. The tables were old and worn out, and the old chairs had stretchy red covers on which came off when sat on. The waitress was patient with us while we chatted but soon disapeared and we had to find her to place our orders. The food was tasty, but all of us who had soup, apart from one who ordered chowder found the soup to be luke warm. After a while, and I kid you not, many of us had runny noses it was so cold in there. I was rubbing my hands together to try and keep them warm. I don't understand why our reservation was accepted if there wasn't suitable accommodation for a larger party. I won't be going again, someone clearly couldn't care less.

The service was very good and friendly. My family was very happy with their food, and I thought it was good but not outstanding for me.

It's a nice sports bar theme, but also welcoming and cozy. Once we sat down, a server came over immediately with menus. It seemed like she was the only server though, which made me feel badly for her...she never stopped moving the entire time we were there with taking orders, serving, refilling drinks, taking payments, etc. We had a party of four - I ordered the "Hail Mary" (2 patties, onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, American cheese and pickles), hubby had the double steak burger and my friends ordered "The Big Hurt" and "Bullet Work". Bonus points for having multiple fries options (regular, garlic, French fry dippers and sweet potato), but unfortunately for me, they were out of sweet potato. Food came out relatively quickly and everything looked pretty delicious. My burger was bigger than I expected, which I appreciated. The onion ring was the perfect size for the patty and the drizzle of BBQ sauce was enough to flavor the burger without drowning it. The only downside was that the bacon wasn't crispy enough and the cheese was barely melted. The patties had some nice, crispy edges and the bun was soft even though it was toasted. It might have been bumped up a notch with some mayo on the bun, an extra slice of cheese and lettuce, but overall, it was a nice, very filling, burger. The fries were perfectly seasoned, slightly battered and the fry sauce was a great compliment. Everyone finished their meals and raved about how much they liked their burgers. Due to the one server taking care of so many tables, we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. Thankfully the water glasses were enormous and I luckily made it through dinner with just enough to drink. We would definitely visit again to check out all the great options on this menu!

While everything was alright, I preferred the sides to the actual burger sadly. The meat was too crispy around the edges. We went twice in one week even but haven't been back since. The second night, I just decided the meat was overcooked and the patty was over salted. There's so many burger options out there to try before I feel like I'd return.

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

Our server was really sweet. We got drinks and dinner ordered pretty quickly since we had a few minutes to check out the menu. Tonight my husband got the New York strip dip and I got the short rib dinner. My soup was dropped off first. I got the tomato basil which is a soup that I have gotten a few times. Every time I have had it, it's been tasty. It's rich in tomato and basil. I appreciate that it's thick and hearty, not runny. Our meals got dropped off shortly off I polished off my soup. Holy cow, my braised rib was huge! I didn't get the mashed taters that came with it and opted for extra veggies. My short rib was tender and flavorful. You can tell this bad boy was cooked with a lot of time and love, it was fell off the bone tender. The sauce to it was sweet and savory. The veggies were a little on the harder side but it was still good. My husband polished off his sandwich without any complaints. I didn't even get a bite of it! The fact that he didn't share any of it meant he loved it! I was able to snag a couple fries and their fry game is strong here. Service was fantastic tonight. Food was killer good as always. The patio seating was so nice and chill. It was nice sitting out there for the first time. I adored the lights that were strung up. It added such a romantic feel to it.
