The office is very convenient to walk to from where I work. I saw Dr. Leung on my last visit because Dr. Tsai was unavailable for my appointment. She was great! She was easy to talk to, super friendly and she took the time to listen to my concerns, addressing everything. My only issue with this office as a woman who has battled infertility and lost, is the wall of babies on each exam room door. I would think that a OB/Gyn would be more sensitive to women who are childless not by choice (CNBC). Seeing all those babies after experiencing multiple miscarriages can be a trigger as infertility is a sensitive emotional and physical issue. I understand the desire to celebrate those successes but maybe limit the photos to one restricted area of the office, not put them on exam room doors where CNBC women have to face them on their visit. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I had an IUD inserted a couple days ago and I overdosed on misoprostol (a vaginal suppository) that was proscribed by my physician. I had uncontrollably nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Even after I expressed I didn't not have the sort of pain she had described to be associated with post IUD insertion pain, Dr.Tsai still insisted the pain was from cramping caused by the IUD. After Dr.Tsai stoped leaving the room and watched me shiver and throw up for a while, she agreed it could possibly be from the medication. After I left the office while still dry heaving into a trash bag. It was later confirmed I had in fact overdosed. For the spanned of the next 14 hours I stumbled between the floor and the toilet drenched in sweat. I understand that some peoples body's are more sensitive to medications then others. However the way it was handled was completely unprofessional I'm extremely upset however this "review" was not posted to throw shade at this facility, or it's healthcare workers. Dr. Tsai is a nice person however that is not the only requirement for being a physician. I do not want any other women going threw what I went threw. read more

There is no other way to explain Dr. Tsai than the word Awesome! Unfortunately my Obgyn Dr. Deniega retired and I had to find a new doctor ASAP due to taking a couple of pregnancy test earlier this year and found it positive. Dr. Tsai's office took me in as a new patient and gave me the earliest date possible. At first I was soo hesitant about moving to a new doctor, but the staff and nurses made me feel very welcome. Being that this was my first child, they prepared me for what was to come and being pregnant. The process to get e writhing done and make an appointment was really convenient. I just gave birth on December 18, 2018 and I am soo happy Dr. Tsai was available to deliver me. I could not be a more happier patient of hers and I am glad I was able to get her as my new OBgyn. read more

When I called and made my original appointment, they confirmed that my health insurance provider was covered and accepted by their office. I showed up for my appointment, they insisted I wear a face mask (even though their website says masks are optional). They also said that my insurance wasn't accepted and turned me away after I filled out all of the paperwork. It was extremely unprofessional and rude and a waste of my time. Dr Tsai is an amazing extremely nice and knowledgeable OBGYN!! She delivered both my children and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a OBGYN! I switched to her after some careful research and it was the best decision I've ever made!! She is amazing! Each time I delivered both of my children I was in the hospital for 5 days both times and she came every day to check in on me, weekend, holiday she was there!! I've even had to call her after hours once and she immediately called me back!! Her staff is also equally amazing!! Dr Leung & Aris are amazing additions to her team because they uphold the same sterling reputation that Dr Tsai has! Each and every one of her nursing staff are super helpful and extremely courteous. I have never written a review for a professional, but feel this time it is necessary. The OB/GYN I had been seeing since 1988 retired (2015?) and patients were informed of the transfer to Dr. Tsai. Dr. Tsai's resume was impeccable so I decided to trust my doctor and continue with Dr. Tsai. My first visit was a bit overwhelming. The downtown office was crowded, extremely noisy, and you need to remove your shoes. Ewwww . . . in a DOCTOR's office? They provided house slippers but, again, ewwwww. I made sure to bring old socks that I simply threw away after I left there. Dr. Tsai is a nice person, which is why I gave two stars. However, her practice goes over and above being an OB/GYN and, thus, her "normal" patients are suffering. She LOVES to do surgeries and tends to push them on her patients. I was feeling a little brushed off since I hadn't seen her - just the nurse practitioner - but recently it got worse. I had a brush with breast cancer as the mammo found something "unusual". This caused follow ups and, eventually, a biopsy. The nurses at the biopsy were shocked that I had not spoken to Dr. Tsai about any of this and stated that they had heard Dr. Tsai was "busy." Yes, she's appears to be too busy for the "normal" patient. During the many months of screenings/tests I had heard nothing from Dr. Tsai. Thank goodness for my PCP as she was on top of things. Then, as another patient's review states, you can't get ahold of her or anyone in the office. Dr. did call once, while I was driving, about the results; I tried several times to contact her after with no answer (during work hours). I finally had to contact my PCP to find out the results. If you're just a "normal" patient - no skin rejuvenation, no vaginal rejuvenation, just need/want a GYN, she is not your doctor. If you're looking for a 90210 doctor, she's your doctor. read more

Dr. Monique Leung and Dr. Lynette Tsai are two people I am most thankful for and their team. From the beginning of my pregnancy till the end. They always make sure my health and my baby is always good/great. They always suggested options that I can easily decide on. And they also helped me with my insurance when I have to switched. Dr. Tsai is wonderful. She spends time with her patients to carefully answer questions. I've been working hard to lose weight, and she did not do any weight shaming or other bad stuff, but did offer a recommendation of a personal trainer she has used when I asked for her advice. Nice! Her regular appointments do book up about a month in advance, so take that into account and call early. The offer "spa" slippers, and the thought of used slippers just grosses me out. So I brought my own pair of slipper socks and it was all cool. read more

Just had my baby two weeks ago with Dr. Tsai and I'm still excited she's my OB! Honestly I was worried when she told me that her husband (aka the kids' babysitter) was out of town and she may or may not be able to be there to deliver my baby. However she was able to con her aunty into watching her kiddos so that she could deliver my baby. She was in constant contact with the hospital staff so she could come down and help out with the final stages of my labor and to stich me up after when I tore :(. The followup appointment after my pregnancy was helpful because she was able to give us some good baby and breastfeeding advice. I'm glad she's a parent too so she can explain things from her perspective. PS. She threatened me enough so I didn't have to have a dreaded C-section... believe me it was for the best :). read more

I've been in search of new doctors on the island for one year now. It has been very difficult to get appointments with any doctors-- good or bad ratings aside. When I finally got a hold of Dr. Tsai's office, I was so excited to finally have an appointment! I had questions I wanted to ask, and most importantly, I needed an annual exam done for the first time. The location is odd off of S. Beretania St. I feel that the center this office is located in could use a face-lift. It's un-inviting. What's even more uninviting though, is having to take your shoes OFF in a doctors office. Do you know how many people where slippahs on the island? Oh that's a stupid ass question...you already know. SO, by having to take my shoes off, I am BAREfooted! SAY WHAT? Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck. Alright, so I take a deep breath as I walk up to the window, "Hi...I have an appointment at 2:30 PM." The elder asian woman looks at me and with a snap says, "You need to wait a minute." Uhhhh, OK. I stood there for a couple minutes and then she asked for my ID and insurance card. In exchange, she hands me forms to fill out. As I am filling out the first page of the form, a medical assistant calls me name. I look up and notion that I'll bring my papers in with me if they'd like and she tells me to just finish and they can call me again after. GREAT, the hold up at the front is now causing a delay in my visit. 15 minutes later and I get called back up. As I am walking to the back with the med assistant, she doesn't say a word to me. When I sit down in the room, she butchers my name a second time and this time I correct. She ignores my correction and grabs my arm. She doesn't even say what's going on although I know it's a simple blood pressure test. As my blood is pumping hard from irritation, I look up to see a poster of pictures. The pictures are of Dr. Tsai and her kids. The whole hallway down to the room was filled with pictures of her kids and their artwork. It's a bit much. I am taken to another room by the very rude assistant where she tells me, "Take your pants off and put that over you." I'm sorry..what? Take the underwear off too? Cover myself with what? I don't see anything I can cover myself with...She retorts with an eye roll, "Yeah your bottoms and unfold that." All I can think is, I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE! Moving on, Dr. Pangilian finally comes in. She's young and spunky and her helping hand is super sweet! The two of them combined were a great duo. Despite being a great duo though, Dr. Pangilian didn't answer all of my questions throughly and instead of advising me about new birth control methods she just said to stick with what I had if it was working. It works but I don't remember to take the pill everyday like I should so it doesn't work. Does this make sense? The rest of the exam was fine, it was brief. Are you still with me here? The rest of this story gets even more aggravating. I walk out of the room, with my pants on of course, and back head up to the counter. I get my insurance card back and I ask what I owe. I am told that I owe nothing unless I know my copay. Well, I do not know my copay because my plan is 85/15. So you tell me what 15% of this visit is so I can pay that amount. She says I need to pay a copay...I am confused. I ask if she called CIGNA to clarify this. She did not. I tell her I can. She says NO. I ask if I can call and come back to pay. She says I don't have to pay. I ask her if she is going to bill me, she says they don't bill and that I have to pay there. WTF LADY?! Just tell me what you want from me. She says that they don't bill but I don't have to pay right now. How is this not confusing? I ask her if my prescription will be available for pick-up soon. I confirm the pharmacy address and the prescription. DONE, good bye. Waiiiiit...the story is not over. I go to the pharmacy and GUESS what? My prescription is WRONG! I blame this on Dr. Pangilian and the front desk. Why? Because I told Dr. Pangilian that I had a generic birth control and I knew that the office and pharmacy wouldn't carry the exact brand so I needed the equivalent. Dr. Pangilian said she would look it up before submitting the request but she didn't. And despite me making the change and confirming the medication at the front desk before I left, it was still wrong. Do you know how much damn time this office has wasted me? The only reason there is even ONE star is for Michael. Michael is the office manager and although I did not meet him in person, I spoke to him on the phone multiple times. He has exceptional professionalism and concern. He is what real customer service is all about. Michael is not enough to give this entire office a 5 star rating though. Sorry, Michael if you are reading this! You get 5 stars alone though :) I wanted this all to work out for me but I would NOT recommend this office what-so-ever. read more

My doctor retired from practice and transferred all of her patients to Dr. Tsai. I went for my first exam, expecting great things from the reviews here. Unfortunately, in my case, I'm not able to review Dr. Tsai, but her office in general and her nurse, who gave me my exam. I've never paid to see a doctor, and then only spoken to their staff. This was a first for me. I usually get to speak to the doctor... I wish someone had told me I would not be seeing Dr. Tsai when I made my appointment. Their downtown office was indeed nice, and the staff was friendly, but I didn't get to speak to Dr. Tsai other than her waving Hello to me in the hallway. I was asked if I had any questions or concerns before my examination. I said I wanted to ask about my medical history of endometriosis, and some things my physician said to me last year. (I had surgery in 2008, and was diagnosed with a severe case). I wanted to know Dr. Tsai's take on it. Instead of Dr. Tsai, her RN performed my examination. She also attempted to answer my questions. I'd mentioned to her it started hurting recently, and that the surgeon told me back in 2008 I'd probably need multiple surgeries due to the severity of my case. She told me not to worry about endometriosis, take NSAIDs for pain, and that if I have pain and want another examination to make another appointment. If I had a clean medical history, I think I wouldn't be worried, but with a family history of ovarian cancer, and the caution my previous physician exercised, this visit set me ill at ease. I paid $45 for a copy of my 55-page medical records so I could transfer over to a new doctor. This was not an easy review to write, but for any women out there in my situation, I wanted to post this review. read more

I never thought going to a "woman's doctor" could be comfortable. In fact, my first OB/GYN made SURE I wasn't ever comfortable. I felt like cattle. You go in, you check in, you wait and stare at a wall, FINALLY you're called in for a 20 second check-up and a rushed, "See you next time." This is how I went through my first pregnancy. My husband and I tried for 18 months and FINALLY conceived, what was the first thing said to me when I read my own chart to find out? "Do you want to keep it?" THIS is when I knew I needed a new doctor. I asked every pregnant woman I saw WHO her doctor was, and if she liked them. Dr. Tsai was mentioned more often than not, so I decided to check her out when I was pregnant with my second. BEST DECISION EVER!! As you enter her office, you take your shoes off. You have the option of house slippers or to go bare-foot. Patsy greets you as you sign in, then you settle into one of her HUGE Italian Leather sofas (I sometimes fight the urge to sleep) and you check into the food network or some other fun show on her HUGE plasma screen TV. When it's your turn to go, you kinda want to let the person after you go first so you can veg on her couch longer. Dr. Tsai never makes you wait long. Which I've never understood, because I'VE always had to be the one to end the appointment. She talks to you about EVERYTHING - even just stuff in your life. It's a real conversation. I've never felt rushed or misled. I've always felt like she tells you everything you need to know. When it's finally time for delivery, SHE'S your doctor. Not some other doctor who shares weekends with your doctor. She says she gets you this far, she isn't about to miss the best part. Her husband is also really great. He does all her billing, and he really checks that your insurance company paid what they were supposed to pay. He's saved me over $300 when he noticed my insurance made a mistake when paying for my NST's this last pregnancy. So, in ALL aspects, I feel like Dr. Lynette Tsai and her staff really take great care of you as a PERSON. read more

Dr. Leung represents a good better half of this OBGYN office. Initially, I did not see Dr. Tsai, who is the Gynecologist I had researched and went to see for an ongoing issue that needed addressing and observation. Surprisingly, I was met with a Nurse Practioner for my first exam and didn't meet with Dr. Tsai until after several appointments with other staff, and Dr. Pangilinan (think I saw her twice) each time asking if I would be seeing Dr. Tsai. I did finally see her and she is a busy one! So, I tried another doctor and have been a short-time, but steady patient of Dr. Leung's who helped with my issue recommending a procedure that has addressed my concerns. I wasn't sure we were a match, but after my surgery and the good results so far, I would recommend her to my family and or a friend. She is very thorough and professional, communicates well, presents a casual upbeat demeanor, great chairside manner, and exhibits Aloha with questions and options. Both Nurse Practitioners were are also very professional, especially Nurse Practitioner London who was patient in lending a good ear with positives in having a sense of urgency in addressing my long and ongoing bleeding issue. As for the office staff. They were tight-quartered in the Mililani office and doing all kinds of office reception, relaying messages, taking vitals, billing transactions in an area with not much room to organize and de-clutter that would drive anyone batty in a small space. Office liaison, Mely, is sharp and will help you with patience and dry humor with direct quick moments in asking what you need and most times, has got everything squared away before you even decided what to confirm. All that said, as a new patient, there were a few occasions where situations showed the underbelly of a practice that has missed the mark in handling a patient with care and comfort. During a pelvic exam, there was a bucket and mop in the room in eye-view that made me feel like I was being examined in a custodian broom closet. And, the stirrups didn't have any disposable coverings (that I noticed) so when you take your shoes off, chances are likely that your feet have been exposed to someone else's toe jams or where mine were. : b It's a busy office and it's slim pickings with female Gynecologists the farther away from town you are, but these minor details are easily fixable and paying mind to them increases trust that safety measures are being practiced with sanitation and comfortability of the patient in mind at all times. There are several offices for Dr. Tsai and this office in Mililani is now closed and have not been to their Kapolei office, but hear good things. read more

I have been to many Doctors in my lifetime and Dr. Tsai is the best it gets. She has delivered both my children and I would choose her again in a heartbeat. She was extremely professional and even put up with my fussing and complaining about being preggos. I love her office filled with photos of her kids and that we remove our footwear before upon entering the office. It is a local tradition and creates a very comfortable home like feeling. By doing this I no longer get so nervous about being in a Dr. office. She has always taking the time to answer my questions and reassure me things will work out. She has been my OB since I was 12 years old. We've been through 3 kids together both on her end and mine. I wouldn't leave her for anyone else. I also love her newly renovated office. I recently gave birth to my 3rd child all by myself in the hospital (my husband was away for work) and she made me feel comfortable plus she was the best coach I've had. She's a petite doctor but when it's time to push, she's an aggressive, supportive coach. Don't underestimate the way Doctor Tsai looks, she's actually a very tough woman. She's on my super mom list! The receptionist can be very cold at times, maybe because they're busy or stressed But don't let it phase you. I love Shirley, she's my favorite. She's most responsive with a very pleasing personality. Like I said, I've been with Dr. Tsai for over 10 years, I have watched her practice grow. read more

Dr. Tsai:  I've been a patient of Dr. Tsai's for about 15 years.  I personally think that she is amazing; very thorough, understanding and I've known her for so long that I can talk to her about pretty much anything.  The office visit routine involves getting you into the exam room, doing the exam and talking about things like results from labs/options/next steps, etc.    Staff:  Her staff (the RN, assistants, etc) are usually really nice and quick in getting me in and out rather quickly (I usually schedule my visits during my work lunch hour).   Office/Atmosphere:  The office ambience has that zen/feng shui feel which is very inviting compared to other physican practices that I've been to.   Covering docs:  I like the fact that there are other physicians in that practice that can see you when the need is urgent although I wish that the other physicians in that practice (with the exception of Dr. Pangilinan who I thought was great but too bad she is no longer with them) took the time to review my chart before formulating a decision surrounding my plan of care.  I'm always left thinking, "well that's not what Dr. Tsai and I decided upon in the past" or "I think Dr. Tsai would recommend something different" or "I don't agree with what you're suggesting, but I'm sure Dr. Tsai would say otherwise."    Overall in my personal opinion, I think Dr. Tsai's team of medical professionals are pretty good. read more

I needed a new prescription for my BC & my annual woman's exam (horrific time of year!). I called on Tuesday to make an appointment on my next days off, turns out they were available the following day. ^_^' It's actually in Kukui Tower, on the Diamond Head side. Their entrance is the same as the HPU side (Ocean Side). They're on the 2nd floor, so when you first make it to the building, the stairs loop onto the 2nd floor. Their office is down the right hall-way, across the accounting firm. Yes they make you take off your shoes, I'm guessing they don't want you to ruin their wooden floors. Luckily, I googled that and I wore shoes that day. They do offer house slippers to wear while you're in their office. The waiting room is quaint. It's small with two couches, a tv, a water feature, and a computer desk area. When checking in, I had issues with my HMSA card, but we were able to fix it there and they were able to take me in. The front desk/reception girls were nice and friendly, not rude like other reviews mention. Also, I waited 40 minutes before seeing the doctor. Even though I showed up early to do my paperwork! I feel that the doctor that I had (I forgot her name, but she wasn't Dr. Tsai. Younger Asian woman) was really fast, and perhaps not as detail oriented? * I think I'm just spoiled with my Maui ways. The doctor that will examine you, washes her hand outside or in another part of their office, not right in front of you, that freaks me out. Seriously. But I could tell she had washed her hands because they were so cold. I'm also not used to the coverups they gave out here. Overall, I didn't have a terrible experience. Parking: validation in their garage. I parked at Safeways/Long's on Pali and walked over. read more

I know how hard primary care medicine can be so do keep in mind she has to see a lot of patients. Sometimes she can seem rushed but its not intentional. His bedside manner makes me question why he's in the medical field -- even if he is in the periphery. He certainly should not be in a place for women with the way he treats patients and staff. BEWARE IF THIS DOCTOR! Dr. Tsai only seems to care about the $$ you bring to her practice. She will charge you for every little thing, especially for copies of your medical records (if you need them sent anywhere, expect an additional charge also) or if she sees that you didn't have a primary care check-up she will send you to get an unnecessary $ blood draw (I didn't understand why, and she didnt take the time to explain it, but I listened to her and did it in 2010). My background: I have been going to her since I was about 15 (I'm in my 30s now) where she has since moved from Kapiolani Medical Ctr./Queens Medical Ctr., to her current location in Kukui Plaza (2007). I can remember numerous times at the Queens location that I had waited up to an hour and a half+ on the examination table to see her (pretty much naked/bottomless listening to the noisy elevators go up and down). She has since gotten better at her Kukui location but it was still a wait. Her new office is nice but prepare to take off your shoes for some gross house slippers. Her receptionist, is EXTREMELY rude. I got in to an altercation with her receptionist once, I believe over for some type of a prescription problem. The receptionist was quick to place blame elsewhere for a simple miscommunication that she could have prevented. Before I finally decided to leave Dr. Tsai's care I felt that I should discuss with her the problems that I had been having with her and her staff. She said she understood but responded with nothing but excuses... All things that I felt like I've heard from her in previous years when issues arose. I have been gone for about 2 years and I'm glad that I have left her care. read more

In the beginning Dr. Tsai was very nice but when it was time to deliver my baby she turned cold. When I went for my follow-up after my C-section couple days later she looked at my stitches and started to say it was healing nicely then starts ripping each stitch off. OMG, I was like WTF, I left there and never went back. Oh btw I had to pay additional charges for her to do my delivery, they said it's her charges for the delivery...weird. Really disappointing experience at this office yesterday. I've been a patient of Dr Tsai for over 5 years. In that time I've had miscarriage after miscarriage and also an ectopic pregnancy which she had to surgically remove. She told me after the ectopic to call her office and schedule an appointment immediately if I get pregnant again so they can make sure everything is okay. I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and called and made an appt for yesterday. Told the receptionist over the phone that my info and insurance had changed to HMSA quest. I was told to just bring my insurance card to my appointment and I could update all my info then. Last Sunday I started having this sharp pain in my lower left abdomen so I went to the ER. They said that everything looked normal but to follow up with my OBGYN in 2-3 days. The pain has been a constant all week so I show up to my appointment yesterday and am told Dr Tsai no longer takes HMSA Quest. The receptionist was really kind about it and definitely upset for me that I wasn't told when I made the appointment. She had me have my PCP send a referral and said she just needed Dr Tsai to approve me being seen. Let me just reiterate that she's been my OBGYN for over 5 years and knows our struggles with having a baby and how traumatized I was with the ectopic pregnancy. She had to remove the pregnancy with a perfect beating heart and my tube making it harder to get pregnant. SHE REFUSED TO TAKE ME AS A PATIENT! I'm so hurt and upset, apparently they stopped taking my insurance a couple months ago. I ended up back in the ER right after that appointment bc I've still been having that pain, they did find a cyst on my left ovary but still couldn't locate the fetal pole or heartbeat at 6 1/2 to 7 weeks. Long story short, it may be another miscarriage and now I have to scramble to be seen by another OBGYN which when I called around could take up to a month for new patients. I don't recommend this doctor, because she obviously just doesn't care about her patients. read more

Tsai is a super busy OB with two different practices (Mililani and downtown). I transferred to her after my first OB and I kind of wish I didn't. I rarely see her and her staff can be a bit short and rude. Don't walk into there asking questions or asking for other options bc they won't give it to you. read more

I am really disappointed with the lack of care exhibited by Dr. Tsai. Recently I had a procedure done for uterine fibroids. Dr. Tsai showed little interest about my symptoms, how they made me feel or how they impacted my quality of life post surgery. It has been six months and I'm still experiencing the same pain and discomfort, if not more, than prior to surgery. She didn't care to find the cause, even when I asked. Instead she continued to explain by expressing that there was no need to check for a hormone imbalance, even though this was my main concern. Her only interest was to cut me open and operate, which she did not do well because she did not remove them all. Prior to surgery, I signed a paper stating it was okay to go forth with a hysterectomy, which she completely disregarded. Despite all this, my biggest disappointment was at my one month post op appointment. The way she treated me was heartbreaking. After a month of experiencing unexplainable pain, she informed me there was one fibroid left. When I asked why she didn't remove it, she seemed annoyed and said she would have had to do a hysterectomy. When asked the size of the fibroid left behind, it appeared as if she was in a rush to exit the room too busy to bother with any of my questions. She appeared annoyed by my inquiry and replied in a nonchalant demeanor that they'll definitely grow back but with a vengeance. This comment was disconcerting, as the surgery was to alleviate the issue, not prolong it. Now I am dealing with the same symptoms 6 months post op exactly where I began. Due to her lack of professionalism and a less-than-describable bedside manner, I decided to see another doctor. In order to do so, I requested my records be sent to another doctor. In the process, I was yelled at for questioning why I was being asked to pay 25 dollars for my records to be sent to another doctor. This was a fee to send medical records necessary for continued treatment. Despite her inability to stay professional, I kept a calm voice when I inquired. The most disappointing aspect was how appalling it was that she increasingly grew angry and rude just by questions. After I was adamant that the fee was a bit much, she finally agreed to a pdf (for free) but not until after she was belligerent in her rant. I am writing this review to inform those looking for a specialist who cares about their patients and puts the patient before the almighty dollar, Dr. Tsai is not for you. read more

I made an appointment on October 17th 2016 as a new patient to have my IUD removed. The soonest they said they could get me in for that was December 17th. I didn't want to have to wait 2 months, but ok. Then I get a call (today) 3 days before my appointment saying that new patients cannot be seen on Saturday. Are you freaking kidding me?!? Wtf?!? Then the girl I was on the phone with told me that they didn't take Straub Insurance and they didn't "associate" with Straub patients. I have no idea where she got that information from but I have never had Straub insurance. After reading the reviews on this Yelp page I'm not at all disappointed that they didn't get me in. The staff sounds rude, the place is obviously money hungry, and I didn't want to have to wait all day to be seen anyway. read more

Dr. Tsai has been my OB/GYN for 15+ years. She has been an amazing physician with all three of my pregnancies. Dr. Tsai has never steered me wrong and has always provided professional advice with my care. Very easy to talk to with any of my concerns. read more

Dr Tsai and Michelle are very nice. They smiled, and explained a lot. But the reception was not that nice. The face was not welcome, and didn't say anything to you. Such as hello, have a seat or thank you. I guess she must very stress. read more

I have had several OB's through the years, but I can feel her passion for this work. She knows her stuff, expert, to-the-point, personable, gives some good advice and resources. She even sat down with me and my husband about getting started on family when I was 38... she is bubbly yet serious, and overall, I trust her guidance. I've always felt she is accessible, as some doctors are not always that easy to reach or connect with. Besides, my husband is also a tough cookie to impress, but he trusts her judgment, too. Office is calming, I haven't stuck with one OB for this long.. SHE'S GOT IT. I highly recommend Dr. Tsai. Office easy to find near downtown at the Kukui Plaza Mall. read more

She will bill you 3+ years later for an office visit from 7/29/14 with a balance of $2 and change... billing manager's verbatim response: "...money is money" Needless to say that Michael Lew, the billing manager was more about hearing himself speak from his myopic psychological filter that he interrupted the entire time and failed to hear a customer's simple concern: Bill in a timely manner in which your patients are able to act accordingly... the money was never the issue (as obviously, I contacted him the next business day upon receipt of invoice--not 3+ years!!) Therefore again, Michael Lew's response with the insertion of "... money is money" only displayed this organization's poor standard of professionalism which leaves Dr. Tsai's fiduciary duty to her patients as a physician, questionable. 3 stars average is not by any means a coincidence and the reviews address many varied aspects of her sub-standard practice. Of course, her practice will continue to thrive in the manner in which she operates but do know that there are much more worthy physicians in Honolulu deserving of your conscious choice. read more

Dr Tsai has been my OB/GYN since 2012 when i found out that i was pregnant with my first child. I was with another OB and i didn't really click with her. Being that the Dr is going to be the one bringing my child into the world i figure i should probably feel comfy with this person. So i found Dr Tsai. Being that i am a nurse in a reproductive endocrine and infertility clinic i am very well aware of the ins and outs of an office and proper bedside manner. Dr Tsai has it all. She is a pretty busy woman and for good reason. She really takes care of her patients and always takes time to answer any questions no matter how long that may be. She is always so peppy, smiley, and happy, which i love. You know that she is there for her patients and wants nothing but the best for them. Without her being my coach through my first birth i don't know if i could have done it without her ( sorry to my boyfriend). He was also such a big help however she focused me and guided me through an extremely painful birth experience as my epidural didn't work!!!!!! She calmed me through my grunting, yelling, and profanities ( yes i was that person). Dr Tsai is amazing. Yes its true that the staff isn't always genki, but for me im not there for them i am there to see the Dr, and that makes every visit worth it. Although i have to say every time i have been there i have always been greeted maybe not necessarily with a smile constantly but i have been greeted. And the girls who take me to do my vitals are always pleasant and sweet :) Dr Pangilinan and her Nurse Practitioner are super kind and nice as well. I recommend Dr Tsai she is simply amazing and always puts her patients first ! read more

I was planning on switching to Oahu OB/GYN. Scheduling a appointment was very easy. To change or cancel a appointment is very difficult. I have tried 2 days in a row after work to call them and I'm unable to speak to anyone. There was no place to leave a message. The directory list doesn't give a list of names with corresponding extensions or numbers. They charge $25 if they are not given 24hours or more notice of change/cancellation of appointment. I now want to cancel my appointment because I don't like how difficult it is to talk with them about something other then scheduling a appointment. I don't see how anyone can change or cancel appointment when they cannot speak to anyone. Today I started at 3pm to talk to them. I gave up after spending 20 minutes trying to talk to someone. Yesterday I started at 3:30pm. The office was open at the times I called. The automated system they have is ridiculous. read more
