Not only did Papa show us the REAL Hawai'i, he told us the real story of Moana along with other beautiful stories and history about Hawai'i that will make you feel like "Ohana". This was a great way to cover a lot of ground all around a majority of Oahu, seeing a good variety of sites. While some are mostly touristy and shopping-heavy, there's simply no denying how much natural beauty you'll take in by joining this tour. Think of the price as short money for being driven from Waikiki to and around many of the top north shore highlights, with some enjoyable local legends, history, and trivia shared along the way. However, the Kokololio Beach Park stop alone was a key highlight, and a true gem. Jake was our guide for the day and made sure all questions were answered and needs met - he also did a great job corralling everyone with a conch shell call, keeping our group together and on time. What a great experience!!! Shelly was our driver and she was so informative and funny...she shared a lot of history about Oahu. It was an all day tour with many stops and lookout points.. so beautiful. We enjoyed lunch at local Tanaka shrimp food stand...did shopping at different stops like the macadamia farm, dole plantation but our favorite was turtle cove where we got to see sea turtles up close!!! Our experience was not reflected by these pictures. There was a long bus ride and an amazing tour guide who worked very hard to be engaging. There was a bridge that was out so our alternate route was not reflective of other's experiences. The first part of the trip from Waikiki was as per norm and beautiful. Even though it rained the blowhole was awesome. Then we had to deviate to different stops. The lifeguard yelled at our tour guide that he would not be responsible for our group of 20 and that the guide would have to monitor those that got in the water. The Dole plantation and coffee plantation were tourist traps. No time to see anything. Just stop and buy something and wait in huge lines. The restroom and lunch stop was another trap and the food was not worth the prices. We spent time on H3 which is tremendously rough for a dual rear axel bus. We were beat up by the bouncing. There were some beautiful sites on the island and we were frequently told we could rent a car and come back to this spot because it was amazing. The guide was so knowledgeable, but the schedule meant we got shuffled from one place to the next. I frequently felt like cattle being herded. read more

I had thought this would be a great family day. It was terrible, not because of the tour ir stops but because we had the WORST tour guide on planet earth. Jake made our tour all about him, politics, his social agenda and a host of other inappropriate issues all day long. To top it off, not once did he offer ir try to assist a handicapped person on our tour. His behavior was an embarrassment to other Americans, who actually like tourists, and an embarrassment to this company. Papa P was our tour guide and he was wonderful. His knowledge and love of the island shone brightly throughout the day! He showed us so many beauties of Oahu that we would not have otherwise seen. This tour was a wonderful deal considering everything we got to see and do throughout the day. It is both my husband and I's first time in Hawaii so we appreciated getting to learn so much culture and seeing so many sights. We loved our tour guide so much! I wanted to include another activity I was undecided due to the extra expenses. This was a nice tour to see other sections of the Island, our driver John Jr was great and best singer ever . All this is part of the history that we are not always informed of and he shared it with us. We didn't get to see any turtles but I guess just the view pays for the tour. You do need more time for the Dole plantation. Also, if you want the full experience of Diamond Head do the hike.... find my review under Diamond Head. This review is long overdue but has been in the back of my mind to post. I've been to Oahu more than a dozen times in the past few years, but this is the first time on Rob's tour. The tour was just for my boyfriend and I. He picked us up from our hotel, and drove us to the many different sites and beaches, that we've never seen or heard of before. He offered to take pictures for us, as well as, gave us time to enjoy each location on our own. Rob was knowledgeable on the history of the island and just an all-around nice, and genuine guy. Alapai was our tour guide. He was prompt and on time at all destinations. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He's a very proud family man and veteran. My mom, grandma and I went on this tour the day after we got in and we had the most amazing day! It was such a good way to get to know the island before exploring on our own. Rob has done his research and knows the best spots to take people not familiar to the island. He took us to many different sites all around Oahu including popular spots and locations off the beaten path. We got to cross a lot of places off the list because some places we just wanted to check out rather than spend a half day or more at the locations and boom! Done! They went above and beyond to give us an amazing tour of the island and making a bunch of awesome stops along the way at local fruit stands, the coffee farm, dole plantation and a beautiful beach to swim and snorkel with an opportunity to just off a rock from about 26ft in the air!I would highly recommend this tour of the island above all others. The first person said they were overbooked, manager said they were didn't have enough people. I hate people who lie. It was very unprofessional! They didn't seem to care at all that I'm leaving soon and won't get the opportunity to do any tour because of them. We stopped at so many places to include off-the-beaten path ones. The secluded beach we stopped at was breathtaking and the shrimp truck we had lunch at was delicious! My girlfriend and I visited Hawaii for the first time at the beginning of the month and I ran across a deal for this tour that almost seemed too good to be true. I like nice things as much as the next guy, but I am not a *fancy* man & I've never taken a private tour in my life -- that's something rich people do, ya know? I contacted Robert directly and he was very responsive, I ended up booking through them directly and got a GREAT deal equivalent to the coupon sites. We decided to do this on our very first day on Oahu and I'm so glad we did. It ended up costing maybe an extra $50 per person more to do this than to be on one of those big lame tour buses, which we saw all over the place from the comfort of our Denali. You hit up all the touristy-places, but also a bunch of the not-so-touristy places that the big tours can't access. Our tour guide was Carlos and he picked us up in the morning from our hotel. Immediately we were off and it was a whirlwind. We saw practically everything; as many beaches as a person can handle, Byodo-In Temple, Dole Plantation, Fumi's Shrimp, the North Shore, little secluded beaches and big busy famous ones. Because it's private, you really get to spend as little or as much time as you want at each location. There were a ton of turtles out on Turtle Beach and we got caught up in it and stayed there for much longer than any tour group would be allowed. We had choices - as it was getting near the end of the tour, we were given the option of going way out to a secluded beach at the end of the island, or shopping in Haleiwa. We chose the secluded beach and there were maybe a handful of people there, we walked around a corner and could almost pretend it was our own private beach. Carlos was exceptional. He knows and loves Hawaii and is excited to tell you about it. He's a personable guy and that's really important when you are spending all day with someone. He gave us space to do our own thing but was also always able to take a picture - no selfie-sticks necessary. If you are thinking about it, just do it. I recommend taking the tour early in your trip, especially if it's your first time there. The next day, my gf and I rented a Jeep from the gas station next to our hotel and went back to all of our favorite spots to spend a little more time. We would have had no idea where to go without this tour and it made our second day even better. Highly recommend, it's a chance to see the real beauty of the island in true comfort. read more

Thanks to Chief Milo we had an amazing one day trip to tour around oahu and learned so much about the culture and history of Hawaii. His sense of humor , tips , hospitality and knowledge made the trip lively and informative. $85 trip was worth it to see a lot of scenic views ( diamond head, halona blowhole, eternity beach, sandy beach park, makapu'u point, china man's hat) to take a 10-15 minute picture taking. Free Chips , cookies and drinks were available in the bus. had stop over at leonard's malasada's satellite truck parked at a mall. We had buttered shrimp, spicy shrimp, chicken tonkatsu and tempura $15 each at Fumi's. We only had one hour for swimming and snorkling at ( haleiwa alii beach park) north shore. Coconut drinks $10 each or $12 if you want to eat the coconut meat , free macademia tasting and complementary coffee at Macademia farm outet. Went to dole plantation for pineapple soft ice cream topped with pineapple tidbits for $8. Our final stop over was at green world coffee farm . It was indeed a memorable experience with family and friends. read more

This tour was so cool! I don't often review tours or activities but this one was worth telling the world about. I've been to Hawaii a couple times now and our guide took us places I'd never been, so off the beaten path and so far from the places swarming with tourists, it felt like our own personal Hawaiian getaway. We went all around the island and saw the most beautiful sights I've seen in all my travels. Hawaii is breathtaking and it was such an amazing experience to be able to get out of Waikiki and see it all. The breathtaking cliffs, the empty sprawling beaches, the incredible trees - all these places I'd never dreamed of seeing! It was all so beautiful. Our guide was also a trip. He was smart, fun, and hilarious and made our whole day just perfect. My fiance and I went together and it couldn't have been more romantic or fun. Our guide (Rob) was also an incredible photographer. He took the absolute best pictures I have from our vacation! Perfect lighting, perfect framing, and jaw-dropping backgrounds. I can not express how amazing this tour was, Rob was funny accommodating and organized a special request for us. We wanted to do Waimea falls Park and he built a tour to our specific requests. being with him the whole day was like hanging with a good friend he is funny personable and engages with his clients from the heart. Rob is great!! This was a 'must do' if you want to see the major sites and the hidden gems of the island. Rob picked us up at our hotel about 8am and when I asked to stop for coffee, he pulled over right away. Can't start the day without coffee! He then took us through the neighborhoods near Diamond Head, then up the windward side of the island to the North side, stopping at outlooks, blowholes, the Japanese Temple and gardens, and other amazing sites. Rob pointed out dozens of other things to see as we toured the island. We went to lunch at a food truck that had the best cheesesteaks outside of Philly. On our way back, past the surf hot spots and the expansive volcano-made valleys, we saw the turtles at the beach, had Dole Whip at the Dole Plantation, sampled coffee at Green World Coffee Farm, and drove back through Waikiki to Diamond Head (a special request from us to go there on the way back). We were dropped off at the front door of our hotel by 4:30pm. Rob was very knowledgable, patient with us and all of our questions, and accommodating with our special requests. He has created a booklet of the highlights that give you even more info as he takes you there. His car, a Denali SUV, was comfortable, clean and cool (a big plus as we got out in the hot, sunny weather so often).
