This man knows his facts and trivia, while engaging his riders. The Pearl Harbor tour is obviously a serious topic day, but Richie knew when to bring the levity. I think a different group wrote a review with lower stars because they were not happy with the level of engagement, but I think the heat makes people grumpier and more easily tired. It was definitely a hassle that the AC went out on such a hot day and the only fix was a double decker bus but things happen. The company recovered as best as they could. read more

Disappointing Pearl Harbor tour experience and no management follow-up My son and I booked the USS Arizona + Honolulu City Tour from Waikiki through Mauka Tours on July 23, 2026. E Noa provided the tour and guide. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. From the beginning, we could barely hear the guide over the bus, traffic and wind. I indicated that I could not hear him, but the problem was not effectively resolved, and we missed much of the tour commentary. At Pearl Harbor, the guide became irritated when guests needed to use the restroom or deal with the required bag-storage arrangements. When I asked about the meeting time, he questioned why my son and I had both gone to the restroom. Later, he pointed at me and condescendingly asked, "Are you listening?" even though I was standing right beside him and listening. Another guest also expressed that she was uncomfortable with his attitude. The experience became unpleasant enough that we decided not to take the return transportation and instead paid $60 for a taxi back to our hotel. I contacted E Noa afterward to report the experience and request compensation. To its credit, E Noa apologized in writing for our "poor experience" and specifically acknowledged my concerns about the guide's behavior and communication issues. On July 27, E Noa requested my booking information (I provided the information immediately) and said management would review the matter and follow up within 48-72 hours. I never received another response. I would have preferred to resolve this directly with E Noa, but after the company acknowledged the complaint, requested my booking information and promised a management response, the lack of follow-through was extremely disappointing. I'm sharing this experience so other travelers considering an E Noa Pearl Harbor tour can make an informed decision. read more

Overall, I had a wonderful day, and most aspects of the tour exceeded my expectations. The scenery, the experience, and our driver were all enjoyable. Unfortunately, the trip ended with frustration as the shuttle departed 17 minutes late due to several guests who failed to return on time. We were told the reason was that the additional shuttles were running behind, but that explanation didn't align with the fact that guests should always consider the possibility of issues occurring and should have included a padding time for just such an event. It was clear that several people had not managed their time appropriately and kept everyone else waiting. The delay itself wasn't the real issue. What was disappointing was the complete lack of consideration from the people who kept everyone else waiting. There was no apology or acknowledgment that they had inconvenienced an entire group. Instead, they were rude and dismissive, and one person even made an obscene finger gesture. Our driver was very friendly throughout the day, but I was surprised that there was no sincere apology for the delay. A simple "I'm sorry for the wait" would have gone a long way. I would have been much more understanding if the late guests had shown even a little remorse or respect for those who had planned their time appropriately. Instead, since the additional shuttles were running late, the felt it wasn't their fault and apology was warranted. Which was disturbing as all the other guests, including myself, cut the excursion a little short because of those additional delays to ensure our prompt return. I had called and lodged a complaint with the office that day and the person that answered my call was very professional and understanding. Despite this unfortunate ending, the rest of the day was wonderful. I hope the tour company considers setting clearer expectations for punctuality and addressing situations like this in a way that shows respect for guests who arrive on time. read more

Went on the Pearl Harbor Remembered with Kimo! He has the patience of an angel explaining in explicit details the schedule, timing and meeting areas! We made a spontaneous decision to add The circle tour to our time in Waikiki. We were absolutely ecstatic to get Kumu as our guide! He was very personable, kind & funny! Any time we stopped at one of the photo spots -- he made sure he didn't leave anyone behind. He also gave us extra time at the waterfall as opposed to some of the other 'so-so' attractions. Friday, August 23, 2024: My husband, sister, and I opted for the Majestic Circle Island Tour, which was about 9 hours long. I was able to purchase vouchers in advance via Tickets & Tours at Joint Base Hickam & Pearl Harbor at a military discount. It was nice to receive a text with details and also a reassuring phone call. I was impressed at the professionalism! Although we were staying in a STR in Kaneohe, we were picked up in front of the Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu. So our journey begins! I believe we were the second stop with the bus making subsequent stops at different hotels. We were a full bus. Our tour guide, Shorts, was hilarious, engaging, and so knowledgeable of the history! Loved his Pidgin English accent , which lent to his authenticity. He laid out the ground rules especially not to speak when he was speaking but this was lost on some people in the bus! ‍ We made several stops. The most memorable is the beautiful and serene Byodo-In Temple. The most disappointing part of the tour was not being able to see Waimea Falls. The fact that there is a hike to see it was not disclosed on the website. We didn't find out until later that there was a trolley to take you there. I'm handicapped when it comes to walking long distances. Please E Noa Tours post these facts/options on the website. We ended the tour at the Dole Plantation, where we indulged in the refreshing and famous Dole Whip. My sister bought it for us in cute souvenir cups. Otherwise, we enjoyed the tour as it was nice to let somebody else do the driving while taking in the gorgeous island scenery. The downside is the inconsiderate people, who could not return to the bus at the appointed time. These delays made our other stops feel very rushed due to their carelessness/disregard. The bus is comfortable with good, running air conditioning. It would've been nice to have cup holders or pockets in the back of the seats. The lunch included was subpar. Not a lot of choice because it was a shrimp place (I'm allergic to shrimp) and we're not shrimp aficionados. So we opted for the chicken katsu and veggie noodles, neither were good. We ate some of it because we were mostly hungry but would never return to eat there on our own. All in all, we had a lot of fun and we enjoyed our tour guide Shorts. We would do it again but we will be better prepared for Waimea Falls. read more

We never felt rushed, saw the island, and learned a lot. My only complaint is that the sound system on the bus became very staticky near certain powerlines. My wife and I enjoyed our tour while visiting Honolulu, we took advantage of the Hop on and Off feature of the Waikiki Trolley line for two of the three days we were in town, we road on the Red and Pink line mostly. We felt like we had seen most of the Island and went back to several places that we saw on the tour to spend more time. We booked the 7 hour Pearl Harbor Remembered tour and it was much more than expected, We knew we were going to be picked up a few blocks from where we were staying; but we didn't know that it would be in a double decker bus with full narration along the way. We left right on time and made several stops for additional pickups and photo opps along the way. Our guide, Humu Humu (Handsome) was so full of information about the Hawaiian culture and the areas we saw. He was also really funny and so full of personality. He made our ride very enjoyable. The entire tour was super efficient. Humu Humu gave us a suggested itenerary so that we would get the most out of our time at Pearl Harbor. TOURIST DISRESPECT! we booked with our hotel to go to the pearl harbor tour at 10 am, when we got to the bus our names weren't on there. This led to the bus driver yelling at us, and us simply showing her our ticket, not yelling nothing. My parents are Portuguese, they don't even speak english very well, and we were met with a rude bus driver and we had to reschedule our tour. In addition to this, the bus driver i guess with her frustration started throwing her board and other things at the steering wheel and window, complete disrespect! completely unprofessional and unacceptable!
