My husband, son, and I are big sushi lovers, and O'Sushi Restaurant has long been our favorite spot. A little over a month ago, we were sad to learn it was closing, but thrilled when we heard new owners were taking over while keeping the beloved O'Sushi name. We were eager to see if the quality would remain the same. Yesterday marked our second visit since the change, and we couldn't be happier. I tried the Sashimi Salad, and it was absolutely delicious. My son loved his shrimp tempura roll, and my husband has enjoyed every roll he's ordered so far. The chef was incredibly friendly and even brought us a complimentary appetizer that was fantastic. When we asked how the restaurant is doing, he mentioned it's been a little slow, but we truly hope this wonderful place stays afloat and receives the public support it deserves. The new owners are a very sweet couple, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes us want to keep coming back. If you love quality sushi and great service, I highly recommend giving O'Sushi a try--you won't be disappointed! read more

Ordered for take out. Order was on time. Nice little dinner rush at the restaurant. Arrived back at the motel and the food was excellent. White House, rainbow, hamachi lover, big spider, edamame, avocado roll, tamago nigiri and super CA roll. My 2 year old loved it! O Sushi is open with new ownership. We have been twice and the new owners are so nice and still making great food. Tonight they were so fun, having us try some grilled salmon and doing a funny birthday song and bringing over Mochi. We will be going back regularly. O! Sushi is a great spot with wonderful service and great food! We've been going here for years, and were worried about the change in owners, but the new owners are so welcoming and kind. When we went today, they gave us miso soup, a salmon dish, and deep fried oreos, all on the house! The atmosphere is usually calm and quiet. The service is as expected with kind, attentive, and helpful people. Typical strip mall ambiance. The food is of quantity, but not really sushi in the sense of great cuts of fish, but more along the lines of lots of rice wrapped around things, American style. The soy sauce is salty as the salt flats. I mean too salty. Enough to ruin the food. I've mentioned that to them before, with no changes. I think they keep it salty, so you get more drinks! The one thing that pissed me off was the tipping calculations which are done on top of the taxed amount, not the food/drinks alone. If you use their suggestions, you are tipping on tax as well. Why this bothers me? Because the POS software lets you choose which approach you want and they chose to take more. That will cost them in the long run. Also, it's dishonest in my mind. read more

Maybe the overall best Sushi restaurant I have been to in the US. Very friendly service. High-quality sashimi and nigiri! Shockingly big portions (in the age of shrinkflation!)! I had a mixed sashimi/nigiri plate, which was just great (2x6=12 pieces for $25!) My kiddo had a be to box, which was a little less impressive - maybe the chef is focussing on the rolls - but still good and good value. Warning! Restaurant has the same menu, but it has changed hands and it is not the same! This was our favorite restaurant, so we were very excited to see it back open after a brief closure & sale. However, we were sorely disappointed. Our rolls came out with imitation crab laid on top and the minced crab in the rolls tastes fishy with a horrible texture. Likely they are using imitation crab instead of the real crab they used previously. The complementary miso was great & given to you with the standard salad, which was nice. The new staff was also very welcoming & friendly. For these two reasons, I upped the rating to three stars. Veggie tempura tastes good, but greasy & less pieces than you would receive previously. The Japanese mayo has significantly turned up the heat. My husband can't do spicy, so this was an unfortunate surprise. The menu is the same, but things are very different. read more

This used to be our go-to sushi spot. Unfortunately, their good sushi chef left a couple of years ago and the sushi just gets worse and worse each time. The fish isn't cut well, but worse than that, the sushi rice is terrible. It's like bad grocery store sushi that's been sitting in a refrigerator all day. The rice is hard and flavorless, like the sushi chefs don't know how to make sushi rice. We didn't even eat most of our sushi. Their cooked food is still good, though, which is why they still get 3 stars. I recommend them for food from their kitchen, but not for their sushi. read more

Thanks to hubby for introducing me to this wonderful sushi spot, it's our favorite date night restaurant. Ironically, hubby has introduced me to many places throughout the years; he just stays behind the scenes. Hoya the sushi Chef is very personable, chat it up with him sometime. He can make anything you want upon request. The hand rolls are extremely fresh, and the sashimi is glistening with perfection "oh my COD"! Staff are attentive, refilling tea and water constantly. The service is on point with complimentary fried oreos to boot. What a nice way to finish a lovely meal. They take a mid-lunch break at 230pm and reopens at 5pm for dinner. They're closed on Sundays. Got 2 salmon rolls, a miso soup, and a sushi rice and was pleasantly surprised to see the quantity of food for the $20 I paid, especially in the salmon which was amazing quality. I walked in to make a takeout order and the staff was very kind and offered great service. The restaurant was very nice on the interior and there was some nice little chairs to sit at while I waited for my food, the dining area looked nice and I would definitely eat there again! read more

This place is a family favorite. Their rolls are always fresh and tasty and the service excellent. I prefer the rolls to the bento options. I do miss the complimentary soup and salad but understand with the cost of everything increasing.
