Service was really slow for my family and I, I was watching our waitress treat other customers who arrived after us faster and better than us. Very disappointed in the experience but the decor was really nice and I've been wanting to try this place out since my friends had a galentines day event here after our spa day but I had to go home so I didn't make it to the restaurant until today. Food was okay, the calamari taste like fish sticks and my husband and kids like fish sticks but I don't so I didn't eat that. My philly roll was okay but my husband and kids all loved their rolls so it's always nice when your kids are satisfied with the food. I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'd give this place another chance because it is 5 minutes away from my house but the service and overall experience was mid. The orange chicken was good nothing special so I was happy about that. I will add that the lychee sangria was probably my favorite part of this whole meal so if you want good drinks, this is your place! I came to O sushi after seeing Yelp reviews averaging over 4 stars, so I was expecting a solid experience. Instead, I'm lucky I didn't end up in the hospital. The meal started with shrimp shumai, which came out immediately. Nothing remarkable, but nothing wrong either--just standard. The salmon skin hand roll was actually pretty good, with crispy pieces of salmon that had nice texture. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. I ordered shrimp and ikura (salmon eggs) nigiri. The ikura was spoiled--rancid, with a visible odor. I took one bite and had to send it back. I asked to replace it with mackerel, but that came with a sharp vinegary smell and tasted equally off. I left it after a single bite. The yellowtail roll was only okay, but by then my trust in the quality was gone. At a sushi restaurant, the baseline expectation is fresh seafood--at the very least, not spoiled. O sushi failed at the most essential part of the experience. The atmosphere didn't help. The restaurant is enormous, dimly lit, and lacked air conditioning, giving it a heavy, depressing mood. The sushi chefs weren't at a visible bar but tucked away in a separate room, removing the energy and transparency you usually get at a sushi spot. The one positive was the waitress, who was accommodating and tried her best. But service can't make up for spoiled fish and a gloomy environment. Bottom line: Despite the high Yelp score, my experience was poor and at times unsafe. With rancid seafood and a joyless setting, O sushi is a place I will definitely not return to. read more

The atmosphere was okay, its a little darker than what im used to in standard sushi restaurants. The food was very unmatched to what the prices were listed on the menu. We ordered Szechuan chicken and Thai basil chicken. The Szechuan was better than Dragon Palace's. The Thai basic was meh. It was like they cut up 2 onions and 1/2 a pepper with the chicken. Wayyyy too much onion. I love onion, but how about some other veggies? The sauce didn't have that zing that other Thai basil sauces have. So it's been quite a while since we last tried O Sushi, and I'm happy to find that it's food quality has improved greatly! The sushi and sashimi were fresh and well-prepared as was the appetizers and sides that we ordered. Good gyoza, seaweed salad, and miso soup. It's not blow-you-away sushi, but it certainly holds its own among the other area sushi spots. I'm still not a real fan of its interior, though - I still find it rather dark, cavernous and soulless. Best asian restaraunt in NK and EG side of RI next to Raka. Service is always friendly and prompt. Food always comes out fast and fresh. The bar area is modern and clean and so is the silverwear, glass wear which is 1 thing I always look at as it tells you alot about a restaraunt. Everything I've gotten has tasted good. General tsaio's to sweet and sour along with basil beef and chicken. Also portions are good sized and most could make 2 meals out of those plates mentioned. I recommend the generals as the breading is flaky and crunchy where most restaraunts its all batter. Drinks are flavorful and strong. My go to is the Grape Crush and dessert drink I'd recommend the chocolate covered martini. read more

Habachi dinner is a good deal. Soup/salad plus main course of fried rice with your protein of choice plus vegetables. I think you can sub for noodles as well. Sushi is always very tasty. Wasn't a huge fan of the peanut chicken, tasted a bit too much like peanut butter (too sweet for me), but still pretty good overall. Atmosphere inside is nice. Needs to be discovered. . . If you're tired of the same old same old at Seven Moons, or the service issues with Kon, then you should give this place a try. Located where the Fish Market used to be, in an otherwise non-descript strip mall, O Sushi has a nice, modern space. We were there a little before 6 pm on a Saturday evening and there were very few other people there, which led to us being seated right away. We opted for a table instead of the sushi bar. The hostess was friendly and we were greeted by our server quickly. Drinks were brought soon after we ordered them, and we placed our order - crab rangoon, nime chow, a spider roll, shrimp fried rice for my wife, and the chirashi sushi dish for me. A choice of salad or soup came with my entree, and I opted for the miso. All the food was brought out at a nice pace, not so quickly that we hadn't finished the previous course, nor so slow that we were left twiddling our thumbs, and was very good. The rangoons were different than the standard triangle foldover kind you find everywhere else, more of small spring rolls. The sushi was fresh and tasty and my wife really enjoyed her fried rice and nime chow (I had these leftover the next day for lunch as well). Overall, the price was reasonable and we were happy with our experience there. We really hope that business picks up for them (but not too much so we'd have to wait to get in) as we love having the option to go someplace other than the previously mentioned restaurants. I know I say this about every sushi restaurant I review, but I kid you not when I say that O Sushi is the best I've had in Rhode Island. I came here because it was close to home and it was garnered a 5-star review. They weren't kidding. Now, oddly enough, when I go at 6:30 on a Sat it is completely dead. Yes, I find it weird, but I also realized they do a ton of takeout orders. Despite the lack of customers, the wait staff is super pleasant. The crab Rangoons are different in that they use egg roll wraps. This makes them crispy and try include a nice dipping sauce that seals the deal. The scorpion bowls are exceptional, except for one time when we went and it was a different bartender. A female I believe. Hers wasn't bad, if just wasn't the same. The sushi is phenomenal. We always get a couple of special rolls, my favorite being the o sushi roll and the hot babe. The ambiance of this place is very warm. Don't let the (now) empty dining room fool you, this place is worth it. Even better, it provides a very intimate experience for you and your date. My issue with O Sushi is that 9/10 times, their staff gets my take-out order incorrect. If they could improve their system to avoid sending me food I didn't order or not sending me the food that I ordered, I'd be much happier.
