    Chicken fried rice

Amazing restaurant! I came here last year and it was a very memorable experience. The food is the highest quality. The portions are gigantic. It feels like a lot of options but they don't just specialize in one type of food. They do it all and they do it great. The sushi is top notch, the rice and pad Thai is some of my favorites. The hibachi is out of this world... Their vegetables are so fresh and delicious... the wonton soup and the miso soup are phenomenal. For dessert we had their delectable fried ice cream and mochi ice cream. The service is above and beyond. I would eat here every night if I could. They have indoor seating for many... It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside... And they have outdoor seating in the summer. This restaurant is super clean and the food has never gone wrong.

Truly phenomenal all around! The cutest little spot inside decorated for the holidays felt like we were transported to a cozy hallmark Christmas movie spot! Started with edamame and the fried shrimp appetizer which was incredible. I've never had fried shrimp that was so light, crispy, and flavorful! Specialty rolls we had were the Nami, Allie's, and Red Dragon (tuna). Size of rolls were perfect - 3 rolls fed us 2 adults just right. Also the lychee martini was dangerously good - a perfect light sweetness, crisp, and refreshing! Our server Renz was so attentive to the kids and had great recommendations. True, genuine service is hard to come by these days and he was so appreciated! (I also selfishly don't want to announce how good this place is because I want to keep this hidden secret gem to ourselves, but honestly - try it. You will love it!)

I love this place. Most of the Thai food in the area is not good, and the only decent sushi spot is George's (which is seasonal sushi only) ...Then along came tsunama! What a win for the area, honestly. I love their specials, their pad Thai is bomb, their crab rangoons and gyoza are both solid, and it's great that they have sushi! Sake is on the pricier side, but that's a minor gripe. Food is great, though. Enough said, pictures speak for themselves.

Lovely experience across the board! We made reservations in advance and had an incredibly tasty and high quality meal of sushi and appetizers. The ambiance is cozy and low-lit, and service was unmatched - you can tell everybody really cares. 10/10 would recommend this hidden gem!

Intimate setting. Attentive service. Food was excellent, start to finish. We began with tempura vegetables, scallion pancakes and crispy chicken wings. All were very nicely done. I had a great house roll: the firecrackah. My wife and daughter split a tofu pad thai which they loved. Large portions! I also had a good sake. Relatively Affordable. Go there!

I love the ambiance here! It's like a little Asian bistro - cozy inside- I love the vibe! We started w the shrimp dumplings and they were the best I've had- melt in your mouth delicious!!! The special sauce on the side was a great compliment to the appetizer! Next we split the creamy Pad Thai which I must say again was the best I have ever had! There was something about the exact temperature at which it was served that made it so delicious- and so smooth and creamy. It was served with a generous amount of chopped peanuts and two lime wedges. Finally we shared the Joes Happy Day sushi roll. The fish tasted so fresh and was served at the perfect temperature- the salmon and chives and other delicious flavors melded and melted in my mouth. It was served on a little wooden cutting board surrounded by small drops of soy sauce - a lovely presentation. (See photo) We had excellent service!! I highly recommend and we will be back!!!

The sushi here is absolutely amazing. There's honestly nothing else to say- it is phenomenal. I don't think anyone could walk away disappointed in any regard. SO good!

The food is phenomenal!! Gyoza and Slamming Salmon rolls are a must order. Staff is small but hard working and kind. Make your reservation in advance for busy days as this restaurant has about 40 seats. Look forward to a casual dining experience, and ask about their outside patio.

The chicken satay with peanut sauce was excellent...generously sized chicken skewers with very tasty slight sweet peanut sauce. The Crab Rangoon was also excellent. My friend is more of fan of these than I am and didn't plan on eating more than one, but these were so flavorful and crispy...maybe the best crab Rangoon I've had. The Vietnamese Boon with beef lemongrass was great! I loved that the beef was cut into small pieces/shreds. The beef had so much flavor there was almost no need to add the sweet/sour sauce to the noodles. The sweet/sour sauce was excellent too. I would have liked a bit more cilantro on the boon, but that 's my personal preference. I can't comment on the decor/ambiance because my friend went in to get the take out order. The street it is located on is very small/narrow so I had to stay in the car in case I needed to move it (since I was blocking the street). The pick up was so quick I didn't need to move the car.

The chicken satay was excellent. Very juicy and flavorful. If the same chicken was in my ramen, I probably would give this place a five star review. The curry ramen was filled with a spicy flavorful broth and a healthy serving of accoutrements but the chicken was very dry. Given that was my only complaint and the woman who served me was extremely gracious, mountain moose earns my recommendation. Note, if you're looking for massamam curry, just go to a Thai restaurant.

The RI Food Fights TacoMania competition & tourist season starting to slow got us over the bridge to try early on a Saturday evening. Arriving just after opening, we had our choice of tables in an empty room. That was a good thing since, by the time we left, the place was jamming! The server, who was welcoming, enthusiastic about the menu & and handled the ever-growing crowd on his own, told us that we could always call ahead for a table. Good to know since we didn't see a way to reserve. The little place is comfy & lovely! The decor perfectly suits the Newport scene and includes a welcoming food bar area that would be perfect for enjoying their international tapa-like street-food inspired offerings. A small patio is available to overlook Memorial Blvd in nicer weather. While they do not have a liquor license, you are welcome to BYOB and we did, finding the $3 per person corkage fee very fair. Now, about the food... WOW! What a explosion of fun flavors! With choices of snacks from around the world, you can jump from one intense palate to another, over and over. Three of us shared five small dishes & one large and we loved them all. The Nduja Shrimp Dumplings were delicate and fresh and loaded with flavor. The tacos that we were here to judge were fantastic. The pork was juicy & flavorful, and, though we were afraid the vegetable tacos would be boring - they were anything but. We'd eat these all the time! Bravas Frites were a fun twist on traditional Spanish Patatas Bravas, using fries as a base rather than cubed potatoes. Again, delicious! But, our favorite of the small plates had to be the Brussel Sprouts. We almost didn't get them as they've been so over-done, but felt vegetable guilt & threw them in. OMG - the best prep of these tiny cabbages ever! Finally, the pièce de résistance was the Lobster Fried Rice - a perfect way to top it all off. Buttery, umami & loaded with chunks of fresh lobster meat, my mouth waters now just thinking it. So glad we finally stopped here. A great Tacomania contender and we can't wait to return to eat our way through the rest of the menu!

My review is not favorable but I think knowing this is a Pasta Beach effort - it will be a hit in a few months. It is in the original Pasta Beach spot next to a Dunkin' Donuts for whatever reason is open late at night. The positives - plenty of nearby street parking, modern and cozy space, and very good staff. I should mention that after we ordered, our 5 appetizers arrived starting in 5 minutes and all were served within 10 minutes. We did screw up by forgetting we were at BYOB. OK - the killer - the food. Of the 5 appetizers we ordered only one was a winner! That was the Brussel sprouts which were outstanding and a large portion. All the other dishes were about the right size for sharing by 2. Realize they are striving for "fusion" but they missed it on the pulled pork dumplings. The lamb skewers were a struggle to eat - tough (and certainly could not be eaten off the skewers) - but the saving grace was the dipping sauce. The big failures were the prosciutto croquettes - a real mess with a sliver of meat on top of mainly onions - and OMG - the Korean chicken wings. The latter came slathered with a sticky and spicy, sweet, red sauce (too hot for my wife) and some sort of dipping sauce. A mess to eat. We had to request paper towels and dip in our water to clean up. Damages with tip was $90 and we only had a tea and sparkling water. We may try it in a few months, but their current menu did not work with our palates. Food 2/5 Service 5/5 Value 3/5 (average) Cleanliness 5/5 Noise 5/5 (lack of) Décor 5/5

What an amazing canto spot and what's even better is that it's 8 mins away from Mohegan sun. There was no host for a while when we entered, we were kind of lost without any guidance. We came on a Monday so sadly because the sushi chef was not in, there was no sushi for the day. Everything we ordered was yum and the price was good too. For $100, a party of 6 and a baby, we got to try every thing and we were so satisfied. The best dish was the pineapple buns, I still yearn for those to this day. Their baked roast pork bun was good too. I definitely want to visit soon, hopefully will make my friend drive to Mohegan sun so I can enjoy this restaurant again.
