Rating: 4.3 Came to try this sushi restaurant as i was near the area. It's a local asian restaurant offering sushi, hibachi, and more. It's located in a plaza so parkings are readily available. When we got there it was early just when the restaurant opened so it was empty. Inside is small with some seatings and tables with bar area. Once we sat down we took a look at the menu and placed our order We got tsunama crisp and divers scallop appetizer to start. They were both good but tsunama crisp was our favorite. Scallops were good but pairings sauce and salad in the middle was ok. Garlic noodle was okay as well. Bit strong on the soy sauce but needed a bit more depth of flavor or sweetness. Sushi was good. I personally liked the eel roll. Service was good and waitress was attentive. Overall it's a solid asian restaurant offering decent sushi and asian food in the area. However it's not unique since they don't offer m anything that is significantly different from other asian restaurants. Since it's a bit far from where i'm located not sure if i'll return unless I'm already in the area. read more

Amazing restaurant! I came here last year and it was a very memorable experience. The food is the highest quality. The portions are gigantic. It feels like a lot of options but they don't just specialize in one type of food. They do it all and they do it great. The sushi is top notch, the rice and pad Thai is some of my favorites. The hibachi is out of this world... Their vegetables are so fresh and delicious... the wonton soup and the miso soup are phenomenal. For dessert we had their delectable fried ice cream and mochi ice cream. The service is above and beyond. I would eat here every night if I could. They have indoor seating for many... It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside... And they have outdoor seating in the summer. This restaurant is super clean and the food has never gone wrong. read more

I love this place. Most of the Thai food in the area is not good, and the only decent sushi spot is George's (which is seasonal sushi only) ...Then along came tsunama! What a win for the area, honestly. I love their specials, their pad Thai is bomb, their crab rangoons and gyoza are both solid, and it's great that they have sushi! Truly phenomenal all around! The cutest little spot inside decorated for the holidays felt like we were transported to a cozy hallmark Christmas movie spot! Started with edamame and the fried shrimp appetizer which was incredible. I've never had fried shrimp that was so light, crispy, and flavorful! Specialty rolls we had were the Nami, Allie's, and Red Dragon (tuna). Size of rolls were perfect - 3 rolls fed us 2 adults just right. Also the lychee martini was dangerously good - a perfect light sweetness, crisp, and refreshing! Our server Renz was so attentive to the kids and had great recommendations. True, genuine service is hard to come by these days and he was so appreciated! Went here based on the glowing Yelp reviews and have to say it was just ok. We had the vegetable tempura which was good. The chicken satay I have had better and the firekrackah roll was unusual. Didn't realize there was imitation crab meat all over the top. Also, service was below average. Usually Yelpers are spot on with recommendations but not this time. read more

Excellent food, probably the best Japanese forward restaurant in South County. It felt very fresh and thoughtfully constructed. I appreciated the nigiri and classic rolls. We went with a party of 5 and everyone's selections were delicious. The option for covered outdoor seating was also nice and can accommodate larger parties. Service was attentive. read more

We've been here a few times now. Most definitely the best sushi in south county, and definitely in the top 3 for the state. The fish is fresh every single time. Same with the seaweed. Drinks are good. Interior is cute and cozy in the winter, haven't been yet in the warmer months. The servers are all super friendly and accommodating. So many sushi places in Rhode Island have a following the fish is fine at best. Not going to make you sick but definitely not as fresh as it should be. Not this place. The fish is amazingly fresh and literally on par with any sushi in Boston or NY. You definitely pay for it, as it isn't inexpensive, but I'd rather pay more and have good food than pay a little less and the sushi is meh. So so happy we have this place in south county!! read more

I love the ambiance here! It's like a little Asian bistro - cozy inside- I love the vibe! We started w the shrimp dumplings and they were the best I've had- melt in your mouth delicious!!! The special sauce on the side was a great compliment to the appetizer! Next we split the creamy Pad Thai which I must say again was the best I have ever had! There was something about the exact temperature at which it was served that made it so delicious- and so smooth and creamy. It was served with a generous amount of chopped peanuts and two lime wedges. Finally we shared the Joes Happy Day sushi roll. The fish tasted so fresh and was served at the perfect temperature- the salmon and chives and other delicious flavors melded and melted in my mouth. It was served on a little wooden cutting board surrounded by small drops of soy sauce - a lovely presentation. (See photo) We had excellent service!! Food was fair, not great just very average, but the service was really terrible for my take out food tonight. It was my first time trying this place I had heard good things about. It was a Monday night and I called for takeout at 6:15pm and was told it would take 45 to 50 minutes. I gave Miley my credit card information over the phone which she repeated back to me that I asked if they might be able to do the food any sooner and she said we would try to have it done in 35 minutes. So I arrive 40 minutes later to pick it up and was told it would take another 15 minutes. Miley sorta apologized. Well it turned out the food wasn't ready until 7: 15pm. I complained that it ended up taking a whole hour. Miley sorta apologized. As I went to take the food from somebody handing it to me she asked me to pay first and I told her I had already paid with a credit card over the phone. She wouldn't let go of the bags until she checked with Miley who then said oops I didn't run the card. So then I had to wait there another 5 minutes while she ran the credit card. I told her how I felt about that additional 5 minutes. Miley sorta apologized. Finally arrived back home to eat the food that I had waited so long for to find that my spring rolls were ice cold. All that waiting for cold food?! Well I am not sorta apologizing and I'm not ever going back! read more

Food was pretty good and average portion size however, the wait time was HORRIBLE and and the service was ridiculous. After sitting down, it took WELL OVER an hour to receive our food, raw sushi which doesn't even have to be cooked so I don't understand why it took so long. I noticed everyone around us was also waiting a long time to receive their orders. There was one young girl waiting all the tables outside- 6 tables- so I think this is why the wait took so long. Please hire more staff members to make the service process smoother. Also, we finished our waters before receiving our food and had to remind the waitress to please fill our empty waters. Additionally, the prices are extremely expensive! For example, it's $12 to get a cucumber roll, usually around $5 at other restaurants. We ordered a peanut avocado roll and there was probably 1 peanut chopped up into extremely small pieces on the roll. Due to the long wait time, bad service, and price- I do not recommend this place. It's a shame because the food is good but everything else is terrible. Don't waste your time. read more
