Tammy C tested the battery and came to her conclusion that the battery wasn't a problem, the problem was alternator or starter and that I should go get it tested.(Tammy C opinion) I come back with a video and written diagnostic review from my dealership stating the battery needs to be replaced. Tammy C proceeds to tell me I could have had a friend forge the receipt and notes with the Acura letter clearly on the paper. I felt very disrespected and discriminated. The manager was no help , he clearly had an attitude while aggressively typing, looking for the correct battery after Tammy C gave me the wrong replacement. Both employees are a poor representation of that company.

The five years have done a number on my battery and now my battery is no longer working. So we ended up ordering a battery from advance Auto online and I went right over to pick it up it was very easy to order online and they had my battery that I needed for my vehicle easily accessible and it was easy to pay as well. so that part was excellent. When I got to advance Auto I was greeted by a younger gentleman and I have never had an issue before with anyone actually asking me if I need to have something installed by them normally they asked right away do you need to have this installed. I have a bad back so I don't really have a great ability to lift a lot but what ended up happening was the order was looked up very quickly very easily the battery was handed to me along with the receipt before I really knew what was going on and told to have a good day and they walked away from me. So here I am with this huge battery that must weigh 30 to 40 lb and now I have to change this battery in my truck luckily I have the tools to do it and I know how to do it but it's the lifting of the battery that I'm having trouble doing well while doing it I ended up throwing out my back . I go back in at this time to give them back to battery because I want my core chargeback and there's no real place to put the battery on the counter when you first walk in because there's just stuff all in the counters and where there's not stuff there's people so here I am waiting with my back hurt, while holding a battery the old one that is still 30 - 40 lb least that's what it feels like to me, until finally I'm asked to come to the counter where I'm greeted buy a very nice lady. She precedes to tell me as she's looking in the computer when I hand her my receipt that when you order online you need to wait an hour at this point and it only been 20 minutes so she would need to give me a gift card for the core charge I am not very happy at this point and unfortunately I let her know that I was not very happy because of everything that was going on as I explained the story that you just heard. I have never had an experience like this before at this establishment and I've been going here for years I did eventually get my core charge back in cash but it's just the fact that I had to go through all these hoops to do so. I will say this, this is not a normal experience so I am not saying that you will experience this when you walk into this facility. I am giving you my account and what I experienced this time and why I was frustrated when I went in there and why it's receiving a 3-star rating this time while I'm reading it at this time. I believe that if you visit an establishment it shouldn't only be the positive that is posted but also the management should also look at the negative that the customers feel or see and they should be able to address it but if they don't know they can never address the issue. Overall this is a pretty good facility for what you need for any type of automotive service and normally they do ask you if you want them to install it or not when you're checking out but for some reason it did not happen for me yesterday and it kind of happened so fast I really didn't have the option to even ask to have it installed so at this point it is what it is. I recommend that you go in and draw your own conclusions they've been there for many many years and they're not there for that long by doing a bad job all the time but everyone drops the ball sometimes. They will learn and get better, that is what businesses do. Oh and sorry for the long post. Thank you for listening

With auto parts, obviously, and Joe Q. Public types like myself, the key thing here is being able to give technical advice on how to do the kinds of jobs somebody like me is trying to do. In this case, I was just swapping out a bad bulb in one of my headlights, but I had a simple question about the bulb number - my owner's manual, which was in my hand, listed two different bulb model numbers, and for the life of me I couldn't remember which it was, but I remembered getting an answer from another AutoZone store back in California (which I should have written down, mea culpa). When I first approached the register for help on this, the two employees there, who had been idly talking, parted like I was Moses waving my staff at the Red Sea, and disappeared into the behind the counter stock areas. I made my best guess from memory about the part, and when I got back to the checkout, a third employee (who was calling to the back "hey, is anybody here?") started to ring me up. I asked him can you check for me what the right bulb is for my car? He said, check your owner's manual. I said, it's in my hand, it lists these two bulb numbers. Well, then, he said, how would I know which one it is? Because, I said, I asked at another AutoZone store once and they told me. He shrugged, as if to say, "Go back there and ask them again, why don't you" and told me what my total was. I did guess correctly (I had a 50% chance of being right) and this time wrote it down, so now I don't have to go back to ANY AutoZone for "answers" to my "questions". Bonus: I got panhandled twice in the parking lot, once going in, once coming out, by two different persons unaffiliated, as far as I can tell, with the Auto Parts industry. There's another differentiator between different Auto Parts stores, for future reference.

Bob and his crew came out to jump the battery but to no avail. He then brought out a fresh battery and got it started. I went on my way and installed the alternator and brought back the core for a refund. Three people in the store who saw me asked how I made out. Bob took care of the core refund. I have never been in a store where ALL the employees were so friendly and helpful. Great job Bob and thanks again...
