They told me the tires should arrive in 2-3 days. That changed to 3-5 days. On the 5th day they told me they weren't sure when the tires would be in. I checked with Tire Town and they said they could have the tires that day. I cancelled the order at Sam's and had the set of new tires put on at Tire Town. Also, their prices were the same as Sam's. So I got faster service and, in my opinion, better value from Tire Town. I will be taking my business to them moving forward.

I checked the date on the battery a week later and found a date sticker of 4/22, ten months old already into a three year warranty! When I went back to the store the manager said that AutoZone sells battery's that are up to EIGHTEEN MONTHS OLD. That's half of it's three year warranty. I've owned cars for over half a century and have never heard of anything so absurd. He did say that they would honor the warranty but I'm still paying $210 for a year old battery. Is corporate dumping old stock through this store?

He said he needed to see what kind of car I had. To me this made no sense because either you can or you can't install a light bulb. Maybe I'm wrong. So going to the parking lot he tells me to "pop my hood" so I pop it. Keep in mind. I have a factory car. No mods/upgrades, nothing super fancy a regular mass model SUV. He looks at the headlight, and tells me he can't install it without un-screwing nuts and bolts and such and he can't do that because it's a liability. That's all fine and dandy. But I told this guy when I got up to the counter my make and model of my car and asked if they could install it right then and there. Why waste my time going to the parking lot, and doing all that if they can't unscrew/unbolt the headlight. I don't know much about cars but I'm pretty sure mine isn't the only one that has bolts on the headlight. After shutting the hood he says "aren't you going to come back inside and buy the bulb" and I said "well not if you guys can't install it. I definitely can't install it myself" and he said "well you can still buy the light bulb". I don't understand. Don't make somebody go through all of that if you can't even install it. No I didn't buy the light bulb because I can't install it myself. Just a big disappointment from this place all together.

My total ended up being around $7000. It would have been very helpful to have an accurate quote (which could have been managed by them looking into the manufacturer's recommendations regarding that model's transmission before quoting me a lower price). When they had finished the repair, they caught a crack in the transmission housing (which seems to have been the manufacturer's fault). They communicated with me about that very well, and completed the repair with no hassle or extra cost. Their warranty appears solid, and the car runs great!

Then, with less than 5k on the odo, a sweet young lady backs into me in the Racetrac parking lot. No one was hurt, just some broken plastic and dented metal, but the truck was still new, so I knew we needed to take it somewhere special. The insurance company sent me to B Imports for the estimate, but I was so impressed by Jennifer and her husband, Brian, we contracted to have them do the repairs. And boy did they have to work for it! The upgrade package included one-off parts supplied by Rocky Ridge, which meant lots of chasing suppliers for parts, having to work around custom fit parts, matching paint colors, and (of course) dealing with an overly anxious consumer of services...namely, me! I had a trip planned for the Fall with my girls; we were taking the new truck to Colorado to visit the Wolf and Wildlife Center. When I say Brian worked overtime to get the truck ready for us, I'm not exaggerating - they were working up to the last possible minute to get it back to me in time for the trip (we really didn't want to take the little rental USAA had provided all the way there, and back, especially considering the amount of snow we encountered!). But they did it! The truck came back a week before the trip, fully restored, beautiful, and ready to roll. Mostly I want to just say thank you for making sure our ride to the wolves was ready despite all of the shipping setbacks on the various custom pieces, you guys really went above and beyond to make sure my new truck stayed new and our trip went off without a hitch...I'd say 55+ hours of driving in 1 week is a pretty sweet testimony to your hard work and dedication to customer satisfaction - 5 stars all the way!
