ATROCIOUS treatment by management. Came in for car battery replacement, but decided to get my own and have them swap it. Upon telling the manager I would be paying with card (and fine with an increase in price) he lost his cool telling me "I don't know what games you're playing." I ended up fixing the battery myself but I felt incredibly disrespected. Also, their batteries just aren't good-I'd be paying 50 dollars more then Costco for a battery they won't tell me the manufacturer and only comes with a 1 year warranty versus 3 from Costco. Just stay away from them read more

I have been a customer of Jefferson Battery for many years. In fact I was a customer when they were located in the French Quarter under the name Diamond Grid Battery Co. I have been a customer since the late 60's. Then I owned a fleet of trucks that they serviced with batteries. Now, they take care of my whole families' cars. They have always been kind and fair and service oriented. Their prices have been good and very competitive. I would never consider going anywhere else that JEFFERSON BATTERY. Lou Piazza read more

Some people hate going to the doctor, but I really hate going to an auto shop. The fear is very similar. I think I'm going in for a regular check up, and find out that it's a miracle that I made it in without my car blowing up. Well, this time, I drove with car with a badly eroded battery for MONTHS and refused to get a new battery. I kept saying I would do it "next week", but one morning my car just refused to turn on. I knew I would finally have to head into "next week" with a new battery. My neighbor and friend suggested I go to Jefferson Battery Co. for a reliable, affordable battery. My friend said she got a battery installed her and it was roughly $100 cheaper than Firestone. I arrived on Monday morning a little after 8, and one of the workers greeted me with a smile and asked how could he help. I told him that I needed a new battery. Apparently you can buy the battery and have someone else--or yourself--install it. An older, shorter man rang my purchase up, and with the part, installation and taxes, I had a new battery for $150. The installation took about 5 mins. Everyone was very friendly and nice here. I was most interested in the very old school paper system and stapler they had going on! Very cool! I forgot to ask about the warranty on the battery, so I will update my review after I call tomorrow and ask read more

Cars. Man. They can be annoying. I was having some issues getting my car to start...it was sluggish but it was really cold and then it just flat out wouldn't start, except a few hours later it did. Ran out on Monday morning to Jefferson Battery my go to shop for decades. And they said one cell in my battery was faulty so a new battery was had and I made it to work and was only about 10 minutes late. Sweet. They had what I needed and took care of everything quick quick. Easy credit card payment and I was on my way. Let's hope this one lasts the full 3 years. read more

Great service! Love the neighborhood feel. They treat you like family. It is nice to still have companies that still operate this way.

Jefferson Battery is a great company to deal with. They have what we need in stock, prices are best around, and delivery time is super fast.

Jefferson Battery always has any battery we need. Always in stock. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and their prices can't be beat.

One of those old style specialty stores that is a great place to know about when owning a house. They have the specialty battery I need for my automatic driveway gate, They will take the old battery in exchange and give a small discount against the new one. I like them specifically because they will recycle the used battery rather than me putting a hazardous material in the landfill. read more

Great service, good price. My car needed a battery and I ended up paying $108 installed with a 50 month warranty. They also ran a test to see if the alternator was functioning. read more

Worst Experience Ever! Manager was very rude! I bought a battery a few months back and it was bad. He said no refund. Claims it's my cars fault. read more

Jefferson Battery is hands-down the best place to go for a new battery! I was quoted $114 and $109 at 2 well known auto places for a jeep patriot battery - that's ridiculous! And I'm pretty sure it was because I'm a girl. Jefferson Battery quoted me half that and has always been super nice and helpful!! I will always recommend them! read more

We needed to replace our car battery. (I'm the dad doing this by phone for my daughter in New Orleans). Jerry was super helpful over the phone, and my daughter reports a great experience and a great price. Thanks! read more

Jefferson Battery is great!! I will be a lifetime customer and will refer everyone to them. I found myself in the unfortunate predicament of needing a car battery so of course I priced them online through numerous national chain autoparts stores (you know the ones I'm talking about), they all wanted MINIMUM $140 just for the battery. On a tip from a customer where I work, I called Jefferson Battery and was quoted a good $50 less than this. I went the next morning and within 2 minutes of my arrival, I had 3 guys working on my car. I was in and out in under 20 minutes and under $100, including installation. This is everything you want in a business. Local people running a local business giving impeccable service at a low price. You have to think: they've been in business since 1979 and don't advertise. How do you do that? You give great service and rely on word-of-mouth advertising. The big chains can't claim that! If you need a battery, go here. You'll be on Yelp giving a 5-star review like me too. read more
