I shopped here before. Their management always had the take it or leave it attitude. It has gotten worse. Their website is totally inadequate. They are not helpful on the phone, and less so in person. Their delivery service is prima Donna. I would consider starting a discount appliance store if I was thinking of staying a new business because they must be making a lot of easy money in this business or they are really inept. Don't waste your time. Walked in ready to purchase a refrigerator and was ignored until a a guy that seemingly worked in the back came to try to help once he saw I was being ignored by the saleswomen. When I would ask about a fridge, the saleswoman would shout to him from afar "can't sell her that" "not that one either" lol. Needless to say, I left and advised fellow landlords to cross this place of their list. Side note: Aside from laughable customer service, stock & prices are a joke. Great selection of appliances with friendly service. We needed a new electric stove and were shown a wide selection to choose from. The great thing is that they have everything in stock and don't have to wait for it from a big box store. We selected the stove we wanted, paid for it and they helped us load it in our vehicle. My wash machine broke and after waiting a couple days for the repair man to tell us it could not be fixed we were drowning in a pile of laundry. I went to several big box stores and could not get a washer for at least 7 days. I went to Drye Supply and they had all of their washers and dryers in stock. The sales person was friendly and available for questions when I needed him. The prices were comparable to what was being offered at the big box stores. They offered same day delivery for $60 which I thought was amazing. The delivery person was very friendly and set up my set very quickly. The entire experience was just great! Beware of the woman who runs this store. When she is caught with her incompetence she screams and has hysterics. She also refuses to deliver purchases to punish her customers. Fortunately we have a Small Claim Court in New Orleans. The people there are very friendly and helpful. I wonder what would happen if she screamed at the Judge? I'm going to find out. read more

We went to Drye to buy a microwave and refrigerator. After the refrigerator was delivered, we discovered it didn't work. Drye came and picked it up the next day, confirmed that it was broken and because we couldn't find a comparable one in their stock, they promptly refunded our money. I read other reviews saying that Drye refused to refund their money. This was NOT my experience. I don't know if they had different management or it was just competitors trying to ruin their business, but they were completely reputable with us. I found the staff pleasant and extremely efficient. I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future. By the way, the microwave works fine. read more

A contractor who did work at my house told me about this place and it's a hidden gem! It's basically a discount hardware store; they carry most things you'd find in a smaller Ace hardware type store; all the basic tools and accessories that any home owner would need. As well they stock a good assortment of tools from major names like Ryobi and Bosch. As well, they carry appliances that are generally 50% off what you would pay at Home Depot or Lowes. It's worth checking them out. I go here almost every week because you never know what will come in as their inventory changes often. read more

Drye Supply is a discount hardware store and combination home appliance store. They buy restocked, open box, and refurbished items from the big box stores. Prices are good on most items. Do be aware on the appliances: AC units, table saws, ranges, refrigerators. Most of these items are refurbished, check carefully before you buy, and ask the manager their return policy upfront. I got on burned by them on refurbished AC UNIT, that never operated properly. :-( good value. 3stars. read more

We purchased a refrigerator on a Thursday. After buying it, we found out that the delivery advertised in the online commercial was unavailable due to the delivery provider being out. An alternative was offered, but we were told there would still be a fee, it would be on a pick-up truck, and the mover would need assistance because he is a "small Mexican man." By the time we added on a truck rental fee and our time and work to move the refrigerator, which took up almost a full day, we spent the same if not more than if we had purchased the refrigerator from a larger appliance store, which offers free delivery and removal of the old appliance. When this was discussed today with the man who claimed to be the owner, he offered no acknowledgement of this delivery situation to be a problem, and became very rude and argumentative about it. Very poor customer service. We will be telling all of our friends and family about this unpleasant and unnecessarily expensive experience. read more

My issue is about the character of the people working at the store. I needed a propane tank for a gas grill and found it on Craigslist from Greg who was working at the store. I communicated several times throughout the day with Greg regarding the grill and told him that I would be there after work. During this communication I told Greg that I would be coming from the VA on Canal St and it would take me 20 minutes to get there. After driving from Canal St to his location I mistakenly drove across the Huey P. Long Bridge (I recently located here from San Diego, CA) so I went to his location to assure him I was not one of those Craigslist flakes. After arriving at this business and seeing the propane tank I agreed to purchase so we shook hands. I explained I needed to get the cash and I would be right back. The business is located just a couple of blocks from Walmart in Harahan so I headed off to get the cash. While at Walmart Greg call and told me he just sold the tank even after we agreed that I would purchase it and driving 20 minutes to pick it up. Although this is not directly an issue with the business it shows the character of the employees at this business. In my opinion it's a reflection of the owner and the level of trust you can expect from their employees. What Greg did was not acceptable but showed a lack of consideration and respect for people's time. Just keep this in mind if he is selling you something. read more
