I checked the date on the battery a week later and found a date sticker of 4/22, ten months old already into a three year warranty! When I went back to the store the manager said that AutoZone sells battery's that are up to EIGHTEEN MONTHS OLD. That's half of it's three year warranty. I've owned cars for over half a century and have never heard of anything so absurd. He did say that they would honor the warranty but I'm still paying $210 for a year old battery. Is corporate dumping old stock through this store?

He said he needed to see what kind of car I had. To me this made no sense because either you can or you can't install a light bulb. Maybe I'm wrong. So going to the parking lot he tells me to "pop my hood" so I pop it. Keep in mind. I have a factory car. No mods/upgrades, nothing super fancy a regular mass model SUV. He looks at the headlight, and tells me he can't install it without un-screwing nuts and bolts and such and he can't do that because it's a liability. That's all fine and dandy. But I told this guy when I got up to the counter my make and model of my car and asked if they could install it right then and there. Why waste my time going to the parking lot, and doing all that if they can't unscrew/unbolt the headlight. I don't know much about cars but I'm pretty sure mine isn't the only one that has bolts on the headlight. After shutting the hood he says "aren't you going to come back inside and buy the bulb" and I said "well not if you guys can't install it. I definitely can't install it myself" and he said "well you can still buy the light bulb". I don't understand. Don't make somebody go through all of that if you can't even install it. No I didn't buy the light bulb because I can't install it myself. Just a big disappointment from this place all together.

    I would give a zero star review or negative rated review if possible! Nasty nasty counter person…read morenamed Jessica! Perhaps this person wants to be store manager or district manager, but you aren't going to go very far stepping all over your customers as if we are filth below your feet! I came in for a battery return issue (was sold the wrong battery, although I returned it 10 months later when the battery was first purchased, the 3 year warranty was very much still active) I gave this Jessica ONE STORY, not five, perhaps she couldn't understand logic, regardless, she was nasty, refused to give a refund unless I had the old outdated and compromised card, I wasn't offered cash as an option! Very rude, condescending and very unprofessional, and then once confronted with her mistake through proper channels she proceeded to blame me, the customer, for her failure to comprehend how it is she is to do her job! Seriously, if you do not want to deal with EVERY customer, then perhaps don't work customer service!! I have not the words in the English language for how to properly communicate my dissatisfaction with this experience!

Traveling from LA back home to FL pulling a camper and 1 of 4 tires blows. Stopped at a tire place in New Orleans; had all 4 tires replaced because they were old & probably dry rot from being in outdoor storage. Not on I10 3 min and one of the new tire starts losing air significantly. Take the next exit back to the place and the tire is completely blown by the time we get there. They put another new one on. Back on I10, notice one of the other tires starting to get low. Make it to Slidell. stop for gas & check tire pressure & add air only to find out the crappy tire place (Delta World Tire Co. on Williams Blvd - don't go there!!!) replaced all 4 tires and didn't bother to change any of the stems! So they were all leaking air. It's now past 6:30 PM, all tire places are closed, but we make it to Pep Boys 15 min before they close. Jordan offers to stay late and help us! And he did it free of charge! Just because of the long hectic day, we've had! If you know anything about changing tire stems, it requires you to jack up the vehicle, remove the tire, deflate, replace stem, inflate, put tire back on. So it takes a little time. We are so thankful for you, Jordan! Thank you for being generous with your time to help out strangers. You were a true blessing to us tonight and we appreciate you!

    We were traveling from Virginia to Texas and unfortunately our car over heated while we were…read morepassing thru Slidell, LA. We were able to get the car towed to PepBoys. They were amazing. Jarod and Terrance were Extremely kind and courteous. Jarod was able to locate a new radiator for my Aunts Lexus, while Terrrance worked on getting the old one off the car. No easy task. They then were able to put in the new one, fill it with coolant and make sure everything was secured and no air in the radiator that could cause problems down the road. Their Manager, Jordan, jumped in to help also. These three younge men made sure we would have no other problems on the remaining 5+hr of our trip. We truly felt blessed to have found them available on Sunday, and that they had the expertise and knowledge to diagnose, secure and replace the broken radiator. They truly were a God send!
