Can't speak to all the bad reviews about cell phone repairs. I have bought a number of oddball batteries from these folks over the years, and my experiences in that vein have all been positive. The staff are friendly, and they always have whatever battery I have been needing (car fob remotes mostly). They are a little pricey sometimes. I could get the batteries cheaper online, but sometimes it is worth the extra cost to get the batteries right away rather than waiting for shipping. read more

Well, the battery stopped keeping a charge, and when I tried to return it for exchange, they said the voltage was too low and that the warranty was voided. Biggest scam in town. Negative stars. AWFUL. Brought my new phone in for screen repair and it immediately started having screen issues. They replaced the screen and it was fine for 20 minutes and then the entire phone crashed causing me to need to buy an entire new phone. He repeatedly denied having any involvement blaming the issues on everything except the reason for the problem. Said it was software issues when I had ZERO issues when I brought the phone in for a simple screen repair. The owner of this branch has no idea on how to have a professional conversation. I thought going to a national company I would have a better chance of having the screen on my iphone replaced properly. Bad mistake on mu part. The was split apart and the screen didn't fit flat. I was told the manager would call me, she didn't, I returned the following the day to be told it happens sometimes....when I asked why I wasn't told of the risk, her response was I wasn't here. Awful. These jerks charged me almost $200 to "fix" my phone. I left their shop and by the time I was home, a large crack appeared across the screen. The phone literally did not move from my passenger seat. When I brought it back, they told me that I must have dropped it and that it couldn't have been their fault. Then I was accused of not bringing the phone back in right away, which I did, but there wasn't a manager in the store. When I was finally able to speak to a manager, she was obnoxious and dismissive. Went there the other morning early 7 AM because of the hurricane Ida. The man there I'm not sure if he's the owner or not but he sure treated the store with pride like he was the owner he opened up an hour early because he saw me sitting in the parking lot. They had no power he was doing everything manually but still open for the public who might need them. If this man is not the owner he definitely deserves the employee of the year award ,so nice, so friendly, and so helpful! Than you again! read more

I should have came to Yelp and read the reviews as I would normally do before stepping foot into this forsaken ass place. Went in on yesterday to get an extra key fob paired to my car, we had purchased our owns as well it decided to have those programmed for 80 bucks instead of 400. Well the only warning that I was given is that it may not be a success and I'll be out of 8@ bucks, ok no problem. However before the genius started the process I asked him just to clarify that my remote won't get deprogrammed and he said no it won't. He then said well in order to program this remote I will have to deprogram your remote but if all fails it won't knock you program out entirely....I said wait a min, he said no I said it wrong let me correct myself. I should have stopped him right there but I didn't. 30 min later into programming he says "I had to call 3 different ppl and they all said it wiped you system and sent your car into security lock, you'll have to get roadside assistance but we can give u a refund" what in the entire fuck, how do you just tell someone that. At this point I'm hysterical and want answers because I asked for clarification before he started and he assured me that this wouldn't happen. Ended up getting my car towed to Nissan and apparently they're very familiar with this problem caused by BATTERIES PLUS BLUBS. Stay away from this place, they don't know what the hell they're doing in there. If you don't know how to do something or don't feel comfortable with doing it then be honest and say I don't feel comfortable. Sorry doesn't cut it!! read more

I made an appointment online to get the screen replaced on my wife's iPhone. It is a 35 mile drive one way from my home in Mississippi to Batteries Plus Bulbs in Slidell, Louisiana, so I left early to make sure I wasn't late. My appointment time was 9 AM, and I arrived 15 minutes early. When I talked to the manager and told him I had an appointment, he said "I was going to call you, my lead tech won't be in until noon today..." I replied, "Well since I drove all the way from Mississippi to come here, and I'm standing in front of you right now, when exactly were you planning on calling me?" He mumbled something about doing the job himself but said it would take him at least two hours. I said thanks anyway and left. A phone call would've been nice so I didn't drive all the way over here. The manager never apologized, offered no discount or anything else to keep my business, and frankly didn't seem to care when I left. They will never get my business again. As soon as I got to my car, I Googled "iPhone Screen Repair", and found "iSupply" less than a mile away. Please read my 5 star review. iSupply had a new screen AND a new battery installed in less than 45 minutes, with a better price! read more

They fixed my screen and while fixing my screen they messed up m mother board. My phone is a mess and the representative Blake was very rude on the phone while refusing to pay for my mother board and not assuming responsibility. I will never use this place again in life. I have never seen anyone behave like this. They test my phone before and after fixing. Now i have to take my phone somewhere else and pay an additional $100 to get my mother board fixed, how unfair. read more

To show just a bit of the variety available at Batteries Plus Bulbs, since they opened about a year ago, I've gotten a keychain battery, a case of fluorescents, a computer UPS, unusually sized bulbs for a ceiling fan, and an iPhone screen repair. They also accepted my used fluorescents for recycling. Every time they have been quick, courteous, efficient, and professional. I strongly recommend them. read more

Ran in to get some specialized Dodge in dash light bulbs, had to get them from the dealership. But, found out they can cut car keys and program car fobs. Came back a week later with a couple of after market fobs and they were more than willing to assist me with my new keys!! They did a great job at a fare price and I couldn't be happier. My mobility scooter batteries needed replacing. I called Batteries Plus Bulbs in Slidell, LA to make sure they had the batteries in stock before I placed the order online (to get the 10%discount). I was assured they did in fact have 7 available. I made the purchase online and the following day asked my granddaughter to go pick up the batteries. Much to my dismay she returned with only one battery and was told that the second battery would not be available until September 18 or 19. If I had wanted to wait I would not have ordered online for the convenience, discount and immediate availability. I called the store after my granddaughter gave me the bad new and was offered a sincere apology (which does nothing to get my scooter running) and offered a battery with less amperage hours than the one I ordered. I have not yet decided to accept the lesser battery. My decision hinges on finding the proper batteries within an acceptable time frame. Had I known the local store did not have them, I could have shopped elsewhere or ordered from another source and not lost the two days dealing with a store which does not know what they have in stock. I am amazed at the ineptness of many employees of today. It seems they really do not care about good service or even acceptable service. And, to think that an apology is all the customer wants to hear. What has happened to good, conscientious work ethics? OOPS. Sorry all you below average employees. Did that apology make you feel better about my review? Did it make it less hurtful? Probably not. Just as your apology did nothing to get my scooter operational. How about just training employees to take the time to fully understand and comply with a customers' request? Remember, our business is what keeps your store operating and your job secure.
