I was informed that my transmission drain plug was not there and transmission fluid had leaked out and was all underneath the undercarriage. I feel that Continental Toyota service department did not correctly torque the transmission plug on correctly and as a result it vibrated off. Wow! Incompetent and sloppy work! For some reason, they still kept us there for over 3 hours though. And we were told that the Costco price is LESS than what the dealers pays for it. Who the hell is going to believe that nonsense? Then for our trade in, they started out with an offer of $3,500. I immediately said no. He got up to $4,500 and said that we can always come back to sell it - no pressure. We opted for the latter. Well, we did go back today to sell it, and they offered $3,200. I said that was below the original offer. I was angry for my time and money being wasted and said that I was going to write reviews (more to come). Then big boy got nasty with me and told me that I "don't make sense". I can't help him if he thinks going from $4,500 to $3,200 would not make someone less than happy. If you are incapable of sticking to your word, isn't this the most likely outcome. Does that make sense big boy? If you need any other lessons, I will have to charge you. In any case, I cannot respect duplicitous behavior, and I feel that it is my civic duty to warn others so that they may use the information that I provided at their discretion. Actually, it does start, and then dies in about 2 seconds. Cannot drive it to Deece -- I called them and ask if they know of a good towing company. They, themselves (Deece) will come to my driveway and tow it to the shop (about 2 miles) for $75 flat. Cannot beat that. Tow truck driver gets there. Tries to start the car. Realizes that there is no problem with the car - the key has gone bad. Asks if there is another set (we have 2 more sets). Both of them start the car up, no problem. They charged us -- get this -- $40. Most places would have just towed the car, without trying to start it up and see if the problem was smaller than what was thought. Most places would have run up the bill. Not Deece. I don't go anywhere else.
