It takes one moment to lose a customer…read more I've been doing business with Mr, Geller for years and in the past he was always helpful and congenial. I purchased an Auto battery there in 2016 which had a 5 year warranty and recently had been unable to start my car after it was parked overnight. After calling AAA and getting a jump to get the car started I went to the store and the battery was tested. I was told the battery was fine so there was some other issue. The car was taken to a local garage and tested again which revealed lower cranking amps which are needed at the time you start your car. Returning to Discount Battery and discussing this with Mr. Geller resulted in him becoming very agitated, making loud statements that the vendor "may charge me $150 if they test the battery and it's still good..." but very loud and angrily. I stated I simply need a reliable battery that will start my car every time. I then called the garage where the battery had been tested to explain to Mr. Geller what they found and he began to loudly protest and berate that person. In an angry tone, he offered to replace the battery once I removed it from my car and brought it in to the store. I said Thank you and left the store. I don't know if this gentleman was having a bad day, bad news, whatever, but regardless, you do not berate any customer nor any other reputable business which has provided your customer with results of any testing whether they suit your purpose or not. I was unable to start my car and no amount of disagreement was about to change that. I do not provide this person with enough profit to impact his business to any great degree but I, and my family, will no longer conduct any business with this person. It only takes a moment to lose customers.

Yes, they carried what I needed, had it in stock and absolutely do the installation for an extremely fair price! Saving me almost $100 of a dealer quoted price which was basically labor. The tech was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. The heat outside was oppressive, I felt for him, as the temp outside was 95* and they bring a cart out to the parking lot and change out the batteries. I imagine not having an indoor bay probably keeps the overhead down and passes a great savings on to the consumer. The staff of three were all friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. It was suggested I get a new battery for the key fob too....good idea. I'm confident my upcoming 8 hr trip will be safer. I always do surveys but this place deserved a review. We looked at the old one and how it connected to the small circuit board (used to control charge rate) and he told me that he could tack weld two short strips onto each pole of the new battery so that I could easily solder to them again. I'm an electronics guy so I do have the proper ultra-high temp soldering pen (750 degrees and variable) to do this job correctly. All went smoothly and my wife is happy to have her outdoor speaker working once again. This is my Go-To place for batteries.
