He then went to install the battery. He finally got it in 3 hours later. No exaggeration I have texts with times. My daughter went to leave and had no power steering. Fernando tells her he will call his mechanic friend to look at it. Fernando starts reading the Owner's Manual at 3:32pm. He then checks the fuses. Another worker, we think, comes and runs diagnostics at 4:40pm. Then tells her she needs a Transmission Control Module a $800 part. Granted she may need that, but that has nothing to do with the power steering. Mechanic arrives looks at diagnostics and agrees. 5:45pm her husband arrives and drives car with no power steering to their mechanic that is close by. She spent almost 6 hours at Autozone to get a new battery installed. Next day, their mechanic ran diagnostics. Transmission Control Module came up as no fault. He said that they left a wire disconnected. Which my daughter said she specifically told Fernando to make sure he reconnects it. And they also cut the wire looms. My daughter lost 6 hours of her weekend and $180 to pay a mechanic to fix her car. I personally feel this is some sort of scam they must pull on people with no knowledge of car mechanics. Tell her she needs $800 part. She buys it. They act like they put it on but actually just plug the wire in. Car is fixed she is happy and drives off. They then sell or return the part and fatten their wallets. That is just my theory, but this situation definitely is shady.

For all my females out there ..,…read more I don't know how many of you know this .. but you can get the error codes from car vehicle' computer systems ... you know those warning lights on your dash ... read by this device that they plug into the car and all the codes will pop up on the screen so you can get these things fixed. After purchasing a "new to me" vehicle .... Warning Lights popped up all over the dash .... Like 3 of them... I was dismayed. A mechanic in Sarasota told me that you can get these codes figured out for free by AutoZone. YES..., for FREE ! And ,., 1 of the 3 warning lights on my dash was a faulty seal on the gas cap ... such a strange thing ... purchased a $10.00 gas cap that they had in stock at the store and then I was good to go. I tried to tip the guy who installed it for me but he wouldn't take any money. Thank You AutoZone

The customer service man John understood, but the Manager basically got his money and said there was nothing he could do. Keep in mind, John checked for crank and alternator issues and everything came out fine. Don't expect too much from this store...there are other Autozones to go to.

He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle that we were interested in and showed us all the bells and whistles and went on test drive with us. He was also eager to show us the dealership which was AMAZING. There is a restaurant inside the dealership for people waiting for service. Also a real coffee bar, where I was treated to a delicious latte. There is a movie theater with reclining seats. AND there's a separate relaxation room with 2 giant comfortable hydro massage chairs. We definitely took advantage of that and it was 5/5! The overall atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. This dealership, in comparison to the many that I've experienced here in Venice/Englewood/Sarasota area is definitely worth the drive.
