I got this place recommended by a local, and went with a group of friends (8 people total). The restaurant has a little garden in the back, which is super cozy, but you better double check if it's open, especially during winter. We were there on a Tuesday, and it was not heated. I've been to Lisbon earlier, and the atmosphere and decorations reminded me a lot of the portuguese restaurants we went to there; lots of random stuff on the walls! Our two waiters where Portuguese, and it makes it feel more authentic. The food we had was good, and we all paid around £18 each for two drinks, shared appetizers and main course. My only complaint is that the service was incredibly slow. We sat there for 3 hours, and waited 1,5 hours for main course and more than 30 minutes for the beers too. read more

I went here in the day time and got the sense it is more of a night time venue. They have the same menu for lunch as the evening menu. It is a very extensive menu. I had a quarter chargrilled chicken with piri piri, chips and salad for around £8.50. The portion size was far bigger than I had expected. The dish was the sort you would expect in Nandos yet far superior taste and the meat was succulent. My friend had a traditional Portuguese dish of salt cod with egg, onions, olives and potatoes. He said it was tasty. I'll definitely be going back here, probably in the evening. They have glorious custard tarts. It seems to be a family run business, so the staff are very friendly and hard working. read more

A brilliant, welcoming, traditional and feel good restaurant. Service is always with a smile and they'll recommend or explain dishes from the vast and exciting menu. The atmosphere is second to none, traditional live music and there's always family members enjoying the food. Onto the food.it's amazing! Well cooked, plentiful, fresh and amazing value. The poached salted cod is beautiful and the meat skewers need to be seen and tasted to be believed. It's extremely reasonably priced, this includes the drinks! My favourite! read more
