Also, the restaurant goes back quite a way and most diners seem to prefer being away from the viewing public. The tables are tucked neatly away, creating quite an intimate ambience, though I wouldn't want to be there if it got too busy! All the food was reasonably priced and the menu had enough choice to keep my fellow diners thinking. Worth a look in if you happen to be in the area.

Nice layout inside, with plenty of space between the tables. Fantastic service from the servers with food served quickly and always hot. Oh yes, a tip, use your Meerkat offer of two for one if you have it. A nice saving

Can only echo the comments of previous reviewers. Food is…read morefine, if nothing special, but definitely overpriced when compared to a comparable Pizza Express menu. Setting and ambience are good, but the large amount of glass is drafty in the cold weather. Service is efficient rather than friendly, but it was Sunday evening when I went there (I'd rather not have been working). Overall, average - tries hard but could do better and there are other better places to eat in the village.

The men enjoyed the lasagna which had homemade layers of pasta with melted top layer of gooey cheese. Nice sized portions too. I loved my creamy carbonara My sister said the spaghetti and meatballs had good flavor with tons of noodles. Could easily be shared. I finished with panne cotta that was so light and creamy , Rhoda and Chris had with tiramisu and Jon had gelato. All were excellent!!! The seating was great, the table for two was just the right size to not struggle with balancing your plate, cutlery and wine glass and far enough from other tables to not be overwhelmed by noise from other customers. I didn't have to worry about knocking the chair behind me every time I stood up either. We got served quickly, with the waiting staff attentive enough to not leave us seating empty-plated for long after finishing our starter. The food was hot, the strawberry wine was excellent and the prices were decent. All in all, a great way to start off your night in Rochester High Street.

Terrible - they added a 25% service charge onto the bill and said this was standard practice…read morealthough the menu states 10% will be added on bills of 5 and more people And 25% is NOT standard practice in the UK! There seem to be a few rogue waiters just adding huge service charges onto the bills to bump up their income hoping customers don't notice or just saying it's standard practice which it is not - its theft and very bad for a restaurants image. Trading standards need to look into this as it's very bad practice to lie To paying customers and trick them like this. I have seen so many complaints on Google reviews and trip advisor about this and it doesn't seem to phase the management of the restaurant at all. All customers who paid these high service charges need to be refunded and compensated for this!! This restaurant should be shut down for this!

Although they are different people, they are all very pleasant and very attentive. Food: The food was great and the portions are very big. They do pasta and pizza and steak lol. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was good, busy but not too loud. Price: The food is priced just right, especially for the amount of food you get. Evaluation: Great! I will definitely be back.
