I work in the area and frequent this location at least once a week. The food is consistently good. I've tried several sandwiches on their menu but my favorites are the Fuego and the chicken salad. They can get crowded during lunch hours especially when Rutgers is back on campus for the school year. They are still pretty quick despite the massive lunch crowds. Parking in rough in this area as it's on Easton Avenue, so I usually walk from work to get here. They have some seating inside to stay and eat but also do takeout so I always recommend ordering ahead directly from their app. read more

College town bagel and coffee spot! I stopped in here for bagel sandwiches for family on the way home during summer. It wasn't crowded at the early hours other than college employees stopping in for breakfast and a few students getting coffee. The bagel aroma of all the fresh bagels is what I remember most from the visit and the sandwich options are good but it will set you back a bit. Ambiance wise it has a modern feel with open kitchen and you can see all the action in the preparation area. Then I moved on and ordered something else Ont he gluten free wraps that I have gotten here a number of times, they said they don't have those. I've been looking forward to trying O'Bagel for years after seeing the famous online clips from the Hoboken location of the crispy outside of a bagel cracked open to show a blast of steam being released from inside. We walked into the New Brunswick, NJ location and approached the counter. immediately the person at the counter told me they were out of bagels. I asked him if they were making more since it was just 11:00 AM and he told me he didn't know but he would ask. So, after an inquiry he told me they were making more but wasn't sure when they would be out. Finally, someone came out of the back and told him that bagels would start coming out again in 10 minutes. We decided to wait so I ordered a coffee in the meantime. Guess what? They were out of coffee! I decided to look on the bright side and thought to myself that by waiting for the bagel to come out fresh I may experience what I've seen in the online video clips from Hoboken first hand! Now I was excited! Fifteen minutes later the bagels were back. I ordered my everything with cream cheese and couldn't wait to try it. It was much smaller than the hand rolled bagels I get in NYC but the appearance still looked decent. I took a bite and although it was nothing like the video clip it was decent. Summary: Really great food but the ambiance is a bit strange and the food is crazy overpriced. So I went here the morning after a party with my friend because he wanted to get a good breakfast sandwich and upon entering OBagel I was extremely overstimulated. It is very crowded with a very specific brand of college student so be prepared to hear many hoots and hollers as early as 10 am. Also the decor is kinda confusing, theres a modern feel to it but then two clashing wall decorations and some very bright menu screens. The food is really delicious and the service was great (they ran out of small cups but the barista still only charged me for a small coffee and gave me a large). If I could rate this place 0 I would. Absolutely awful. I paid $3 extra for a gluten free bagel, waited 30 minutes, and was handed the WRONG bagel with the WRONG spread. My friend ordered an everything bagel and somehow got a whole wheat bagel after waiting just as long. The order arrived with no whitefish - I called the store only to learn they don't sell whitefish and never bothered to update their menu. The person I talked to on the phone said to take it up with DoorDash. The store never bothered to call me in advance to say they didn't have that item. I ordered pick up. Parking can be difficult in downtown NB. The order was ready within 15 mins ( half dozen bagels and a Bee Sting). Service was very quick and extremely friendly. It was a Sunday morning around 1030am and the inside was not busy at all, which was a nice surprise. Plenty of seating inside as well as some tables outside. The bagel itself was outstanding! they are large, fluffy, bagels with a nice crisp outer shell. You are able to ask for the bagel to be scooped( better for the sandwich) but for this bagel I do not think it is necessary. the textures play well together. We love the food from this O'Bagel. I've ordered everything from bagels to cream cheese, sandwiches and sides... quality is great. However, I have a MAJOR issue with their packaging for delivery services (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.). I live several miles away and sometimes do not want to drive into New Brunswick and find parking, so I've used various services. As we all know, you pay through the nose for this convenience, which I wholly accept. However, out of the last, say, 10 times I've ordered in the past year or so, I would estimate at least half had items missing (or wrong). That's a pretty awful accuracy rate. Usually just enough time passes that I forget about the last experience and place a new order. Today may have been the worst. I ordered a dozen (plus one) bagels, 2 half-pounds of specialty cream cheese, 2 orders of tater tots, and a few sides of pork roll and sausage. Half of the bagels (all the plain), all cream cheese, and both tater tots are completely missing!! How do so many items get missed? Doesn't anybody verify the order to what is in the bag? It's not hard... even if it's a busy Sunday morning. Customers should get what they pay for. I've now had to sit through a lengthy conversation with a robot to explain what was missing and why I should get a refund. I don't even have enough bagels to serve the people at my house. I was only refunded the price of the missing items. No part of the delivery and convenience fees are ever refunded (regardless of the delivery service) though this is a major INconvenience and I didn't get much of what I ordered. Please figure out a way to do better. I certainly cannot be the only customer this happens to. I truly don't want to give a good business like this a bad review, but this is ridiculous. read more

We purchased a dozen plain bagels, cream cheese, chicken salad, the bee sting, a bacon egg and cheese, and Not Your AVG Club. The bagels are so soft on the inside. They have some of the yummiest food I've had, I've gone at least 5 times and ordered the same item - The Hangover Wrap - every single time and it never disappoints, workers are mostly friendly but not super personable, service is usually quick although some mornings especially on weekends it can be very busy, pretty expensive so I limit how much I go but it is worth it when I do. As for the wrap what really makes it is the chipotle sauce, only complaint is it is not spread very evenly throughout the wrap and usually at the bottom of each half, which is annoying at the top but makes for a very delicious last few bites. I called first and was told they had 6 gluten free bagels and that I could come in to get them since they don't hold them. I went to the store and asked for the 6 gluten free bagels. The cashier said she had to toast them but I said I'd take them frozen. She charged me $27 and then went to the back. The manager came out and said I couldn't have them because he needed them for an event the next day!!!!!!!!! I'll never go back and will tell everyone I know about the disgusting attitude of this manager!!!!! For $4.50 a bagel I would expect adequate service!!!!!! They prioritize online orders over people actually standing there in person which leads to an incredibly mid bagel experience.
