Our sewer line unfortunately decided to clog up the same day as everyone's houses are having issues with frozen pipes. Was put on the list by other plumbers at 3 in the morning, and by 6:30pm they still hadn't shown up. So I call ESDS, and they somehow make magic happen and are able to come in 30 minutes. 10 minutes after they start coming uptown, the plumbers we've been waiting all day for show up. I sadly had to call back to cancel. I'm hoping the plumbers we waited all day for were worth the wait and can fix the problem, else I'm calling ESDS back. Amanda who answers the phones was amazing. And Dan the owner personally called to confirm that I wanted to cancel the appointment as he didn't want to leave me high and dry. Their attitude is so amazing, it makes a shitty day so much better just talking to them. And they were so accommodating. I did my Yelp diligence, looked at some reviews, and called ES&DS. (Yes, I called someone else first and left a message. Two days later and still no callback.) My call was answered immediately, and after answering a few questions I was told that they'd be able to get someone out to me the next morning--not quite "right away," but better than I expected in the midst of this plague crisis. At 9:15 am on Monday morning, the phone rang and the gentleman from ES&DS appeared in my driveway. 25 minutes later my drain was clear and my family and I could get back to our handwashing (and toilet flushing) regimen. We are very grateful that Electric Sewer & Drain Service was able to get to us in a timely manner--despite the epidemic--with pleasant and friendly staff, and at a much lower price than I was expecting.

Five years ago when I had a sewer back up in the evening in my then only year old condo with which…read morewhose plumbing I was both unfamiliar and unskilled, I asked a neighbor in that then condo for a recommend and he immediately said to call Shane of Ajax. To this day I am still impressed, thankful, and obligated to Shane's and his assistant's immense crazy hard work coming on such short notice for emergency work thus a grateful review finally, years later. Shane arrived promptly within the stated window and since it was an emergency sewer backup, I had to urgently skip niceities and pointed to the problem which was a messy bathroom overflowing and Shane immediately in turn told his assistant to get the plumber's snake/auger while he simultaneously started removing the toilet altogether which was cutting the caulk to the ground, removing the 2 bolts, prying it off the wax seat, removing the plumbing connection inside, and lifting the whole thing off which in the rush and adrenaline seemed to be in 1 fell swoop. The assistant was quick to wheel up the very heavy (220lbs?) auger which they immediately sent down the exposed drain and about 15ft in, they encountered the blockage which he efficiently worked with the snake and I must note all of this was in rather dirty conditions with the backed up water. Shane was so quick, professional, and in control of what seemed like a house-ending event as to put us at ease. The sheer speed and expertise are priceless and he charged us the straight emergency rate (I think $200/h for both) but that was far far below all other vendors who are 2x-5x more but I'd happily given him 5x because of his sheer skill. To this day, I simply can't thank Shane and his assistant (shame I don't recall his name) enough and wanted all here to know of their heart and skill in emergency plumbing.

Based on reviews, I expected a positive experience, but unfortunately, it was not. I had a water…read moremain break in front of my house. Harris Water Main gave me a cheaper quote than the other nationally recognized company I called, so I went with Harris. I paid 50% of the quoted amount and the crew came the next day to install a new pipe. As they left, they told me they had to return later to move a valve and replace some concrete they had to tear up in my basement, which was now a big patch of dirt. Fine, no problem. The next day, the accounting department called to ask me to pay the remaining 50%. During that conversation, I asked when the remaining work would be done, saying it made me nervous to pay 100% without the work being complete. The man immediately said "So you're not going to pay?" That was not my intention at all and I did finalize the payment shortly thereafter, but he got very aggressive with me for simply asking about the timeline. He said they actually were incentivized to complete the work even after receiving my money because by law they had to maintain the work for three years, but as you'll see, that doesn't seem to be a priority, and my fear of paying and not having the remaining work done has come true. I emailed the project manager following this exchange and was told that the guys would finalize the plumbing work "early next week" with the concrete restoration a "few days after." That time came... and went. I followed up with the project manager again (no reply), plus the accounting person (no reply), plus the main "info" email address (no reply). I called the main office, and they finally got someone out for the plumbing part at the very end of the week, but once there, that person was unable to do the work and they said they'd send someone else. I followed up again the next week after not hearing back, and they said they'd send someone on Friday (now over two weeks after the original job) for both the plumbing and concrete. The following Friday came, and the concrete person didn't show up. The plumbers did their work and left... and an hour or so later, water started coming out of the ceiling in that room. I called, and Harris Water Main transferred me to Harris Plumbing. The woman at Harris Plumbing told me they have nothing to do with this, it's a separate company, I'm not in their system, why am I even calling them... very hostile. I said I didn't call you, Harris Water Main transferred me to you to help with this emergency of water coming out of my ceiling after the Harris guys left. I called Harris Water Main back and they said it doesn't have anything to do with them. I called another plumber to come over immediately, and his assessment was that when Harris turned my water back on, it was likely done in such a way that the pressure from the water blew something else open. At the very least, you would hope for something better than "not our problem" and hostility from the receptionist. On the concrete, Harris still has not restored it as promised, after well over three weeks. I called three times this week to follow up, and each time spoke with a different person (part of an "offsite reception team," I was told) who said the company would call me back, but nobody has. This is exactly what I was worried about. I completed the payment, and the company seems to have forgotten I exist. I now see reviews from other people who had this same issue. Some were smarter than I was and negotiated to hold some money back until everything was done. I wish I had just gone with the more expensive quote I had received from the nationally recognized brand, because in addition to the other plumber I had to hire, I'm going to have to hire yet another person to complete the concrete work Harris said they were by law required to do and maintain. Right now, it's still a big patch of dirt in my basement. Cheaper than the next company, and quick to get a crew out there to fix the initial problem? Yes, but get ready for a real headache if there's anything more to be done once they've received your money.

I was told it wasn't a contract and no where on the flyer does it say that. I then spoke to the manager who said she was over membership tell me I can't cancel. I said I wasn't told that at any point and it's not in the flyer you sent me. She said they have already came out here like they didanything but inspect my two year old house. This Company is the worst and use fraud to get you to sign up for their membership. She refused to let me out even after I said I'd pay for the inspections. That this service does not benefit me. She still refused. So I wil just have my Babk take care of it. At the time I brought it to Victory's attention, and they refused to take responsibility or fix it. Sure enough, the seal did erode quickly and the leak is back. When I approached Victory again to fix their mistake, they again refused to take responsibility. Now I have to pay another plumber to do the job that Victory should have done correctly the first time.
