He decided to negotiate down because I told him this other guy in the Bronx was interested and charging a more reasonable price. Zack came with a severe attitude and he was rude and disrespectful. He got mad because he tried to charge an illegal credit card fee when we discussed payment over the phone and he said nothing. Why would I pay him more when the other guy I had who had much better reviews was eager to do the job with a real warranty at a good price? Plus, he expected a tip for less than pleasing experience. He chose to argue and try to insult with wild insults than take accountability. Stay away. I shouldve taken the other guy. Zack did the job but I regret supporting someone with an attitude like his.

My father has been a plumber for 40 years and said that this company is very professional and these guys know their stuff. There is no other company to consider. The technicians were professional and polite and the work seems to have been done satisfactorily. However, I spoke with others in my complex and they paid about 50% less for the same repair when using another plumbing company. After I heard this from my neighbor, I did contact other plumbing contractors in the area and asked for estimates, and sure enough, the quotes were at least 50% less than what I was charged by Flotechs. While I am all for paying a fair price for work well done, the technicians spent less than 1 hour working in our unit and what I was charged was way above market price. My bad for not checking around prior to contracting them, however they charged me way over what this work would have cost with another contractor.
