I always come by NY cake pops when I'm in LA. I drive here from Port of LA for dinner then my favorite dessert at NY cake pops. I've taken home cute gift boxes of cake pops to all the RN's at Providence San Pedro Hospital. They are #1 hit!!! For parties, employee group gifts and special occasions please stop by and check out her great selection..

(My last review didn't post so here's a second attempt) Finding this little gem was a godsend. I am not normally a sweet tooth but cake pops that taste this good are sure to convert me. It was such a cute bakery all in pink. I got the chance to try a fun variety of flavors and designs which made it fun to pick. The owner of the spot was very kind and informative which added to the overall good vibes of the location. She even helped me build my own cake pop. Will definitely stop by next time I'm in the area and will consider getting some cake pops for future events.

Omg - these cake pops are so delicious! Usually cake is not a big temptation for me, but not in this case - I've literally hid them from my kids before (sorry, kids!). The store front location on Beverly is so cute! I took my daughter and her friends for her birthday. They each got to customize cake pops and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind.

Stopped in and my daughter was delighted to make her own cake pop. Lots of colors and flavors!

This year our company contacted LA Food Works and did a team building event. LA Food Works…read morespecializes in group cooking classes and the entire event lasted about 3~4 hours. Rose is the event organizer and everyone met at her house at 10 AM. After a warm reception and a quick introduction, we quickly split into different teams and I was assigned to the Creamy White Bean and Fennel Casserole station. The staff was very helpful and I just simply followed staff's instructions. Everyone pretty much finished the cooking by 12 PM and we were able to enjoy fruits of our labor! *** Menu *** * Roasted Beef Tenderloin and Chicken Stuffed with Mixed Herb Pesto * Arugula Salad with Candied Pine Nuts and Parmesan Dressing * Roasted Broccoli with Pumpkin Seeds, Pecorino and Gremolata * Creamy White Bean and Fennel Casserole * Lemon Souffle Cake with Macerated Mixed Berries Personally I liked arugula salad the best and my least favorite dish was lemon souffle cake (too sweet). Rose even emailed a digital copy of the recipe to everyone the following week! Overall it was a great team building experience and we also did a murder mystery right after our lunch (different company - not related to LA Food Works).

Marc was a great instructor and did an amazing job at teaching techniques in addition toto the recipe and pivoted smoothly if things weren't exactly on track. I really enjoyed that you make a meal with other people then get the opportunity to sit down and eat the meal you prepared with them. We merely went to someone's private house, cooked in her kitchen with her, and ate the meal. I was disappointed that it wasn't in a professional kitchen with other students. We were the only students tonight which was kind of nice, but also not so, because after we ate, we felt rushed to leave the house. The food we made was good though for the most part. The appetizer was okay, but not something I would make on my own as it consisted of baking a whole wheel of camembert cheese and topping it with apples sauteed in butter and sugar. It was good though, but not something we would make. Also, the dessert was not something we would make on our own either. We peeled two pears and soaked them in a whole bottle of red wine. My husband and I both felt that it was a waste of a bottle of wine as when you finish cooking it, you just throw away the rest of the wine. The main meal was chicken sauteed in butter and olive oil first then baked in a caste iron skillet. The chicken could have been cooked longer as it wasn't well cooked and kind of raw in my opinion. My husband who is a very picky eater actually liked it and said it was good, but I didn't think it was cooked well enough for my tastes. The leek sauce was nice and the ratatouille was okay, but I also felt the eggplant could have been cooked longer. Again, this was a very expensive experience for what it was. I think I paid about $270 for the both of us together, almost $300. I feel we could have just sat down at a really nice restaurant and ordered top of the notch steak and have had money left over. In any case, we've been wanting to take a cooking class together for a while, so we have that checked off our list. I just would not do this again with this company, with that chef, or recommend anyone else to waste their money doing it either.

I asked if he could fashion a sushi roll making class for 12 people, ages 7 - 80, with both experienced home cooks and total novices, adults, children and teens. Chef was delightful! His organization and preparation of everything needed for the adventure was first rate. Organized, meticulous, friendly, helpful - Chef listened to my requests and made it all happen. We made three difference sushi rolls, and everyone could prepare their rolls as they wished, i.e. lots of avocado rolls for the kids and spicy tuna and salmon for the adults. All the accoutrements were available to individualize as desired. We had a great time and the results, our dinner, were fantastic. Chef couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. One of the best comments was from my 16 year old granddaughter who remarked, "This was way more fun than I expected!" And the 7 year old was able to make her own rolls with very little help. (I think we all learned some knife skills in the process.) Thank you Chef for all the work you did in advance to make our family's celebration a total success. We enjoyed the class and YOU!
