They were so apologetic when I came and they offered me a different cupcake, but I declined and they gave me a free cupcake to use on a future order (that expired in six months). Jump to yesterday when I remembered I still had that coupon to redeem that was about to expire. And as it turned out, I was already planning a trip to the westside. The coupon code they had given me didn't work on their website, so I emailed customer service for assistance. They were so helpful and redeemed it for me, asking what flavor and time I wanted to pick it up. My heart raced again, fearful I would drive all that way and they would run out of the last vegan cupcake. The customer service person assured me that they would put it aside for me with my name on it. I arrived about 10 minutes after the time I had ordered it for, as traffic was atrocious. Thankfully I found a meter across the street to park at. When I arrived, the employee enthusiastically greeted me and had such a great bubbly energy. The store itself was fun and vibrant. She was very helpful in finding my item, which had been placed in the back of the store. She brought it out and it was clearly labeled on the box that it was the vegan red velvet, so I could be assured it was indeed mine. When I got home, I ate the cupcake. It was so rich and indulgent and they do such an amazing job creating a soft delectable cake with a smooth and creamy cheesecake frosting. The frosting is the perfect balance of sweet with just a little bit of tartness. Despite being so rich, the dairy free frosting didn't upset my stomach, so I was able to eat more in one sitting than I anticipated!

In LA, you should know how big of a deal parking is. If you have parking, you are among the elite. Anyway, the cupcakes, I got a standard for a pack with chocolate, strawberry, mint chocolate, and red velvet. To me, these cupcakes seemed even smaller than the standard mini size but maybe I was just already a little butt hurt that I caved on my promise to myself not to fall into the mini fad. I have to say, the highlight of these has got to be the frosting. The strawberry and the chocolate frosting were exceptionally delicious. I would probably buy the frosting by itself if I could. A real home run there and I was definitely wishing that I had A full-size cupcake to enjoy the full-size frosting. The cakes themselves were nothing to write home about, but that could also be because it is nearly impossible to get more than two bites out of a mini cupcake, so maybe I just didn't get a chance to really experience it. All in all, these were pretty solid, and I will definitely return for that frosting alone. Unfortunately, I cannot give this place five stars because again, mini cupcakes are a total rip off. For four of them I paid almost $10. Four minis equal about a regular-size cupcake which on average is $4 or less. It would be more realistic for them to sell them at two dollars apiece, or a dollar per bite.

Up close look at the particulars lol. And everything was edible.

Beautiful cake.

The cake was ready on time as a stunning 14‑inch diameter, 6‑inch high showstopper, that was going to be surrounded by matching cupcakes that looked almost too perfect to touch. From the moment the guest walked in, the room shifted. Cake lovers started surrounding the cake, anticipating a slice. Compliments were flying. The honoree and guests were excited. And photos commenced. But the true magic? The non‑cake and vegan eaters....the ones who always politely decline dessert started watching the cake eaters with envy. You could see it happening in real time. First curiosity. Then temptation. Then surrender. One by one, they threw in the towel to ask for a piece of cake. And the moment they tasted it, their eyes widened like they'd just discovered a new dimension of flavor. This wasn't just a cake. This was a phenomenon. The flavors were rich, balanced, moist and unforgettable. The texture was perfection. Every bite felt like a celebration. And by the end, everyone agreed on one thing: Don't eat another cake in your life until you've had Hansen's.
