First time here and by far best salon I've been to in NY! I'm from Westchester and I was visiting my boyfriend here so while he watched football on Sunday I decided to get a pedicure and it was awesome!! I made an appointment with Vivian (very sweet girl). I recommend making an appointment because they are usually busy I would assume. They take their time and do a thorough job on each customer. Most definitely coming back! read more

Not impressed. Had to wait a while for a manicure for me and my 2 year old even though it wasn't busy. Lady was very rough with my daughter and got so mad when she got nail polish on the chair... was treating her as if it was an adult manicure. Asked if I could use a card and she said yes but pushing that cash we better. If I had cash on me I wouldn't be asking! read more

Loved my experience right when I walked in for my "Invigorate" package. The ambiance was calm and soothing and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The massage and facial were fantastic as well as my spa pedi and manicure. I will definitely be going back! read more

My friend and I have been here twice to get Swedish massages. Clean place and relaxing atmosphere. They offered water and/or tea before and after the massage. The first time we were in separate rooms. The second time, we requested separate rooms; however, they placed us in the couples room. Many people kept walking in as soon as they opened, so not sure if they overbooked. Regardless, we're very close friends so we didn't complain. My masseuse was very attentive and asked if the pressure was okay. The two times we have been there, they have had specials going on so the massage only cost us $50 each. They are having specials on spa packages and facials throughout the month of January. I would like to do a facial next time I go back. Definitely recommended for a massage. read more

The salon is very lovely, with soothing, and relaxing decor. The ambience is serene. The owner, Nancy, is extremely cordial, pleasant, and accommodating. The pedicure that I experienced was excellent, and my manicure was done well, too. The emphasis seems to be on the client having a top-knotch service. I will definitely return, because I was impressed with the attention given to all the clients who patronized the salon. read more

Best nail place near Long Beach and Oceanside! Classy and clean- ladies never hurry just to get finished. Always a relaxing experience.

In this salon, you as a costumer can get any infection, for example in the area where you get a pedicure, they only use soap and water to wash the sink (no disinfectant spray or solution) the worker used the same towel to clean the other sink and chair, basically the germs goes from one station to another station. Your toenails may look beautiful now but in the near future your toes and feet wont look the same. Sorry but I wont take any more chances. read more

This was my first time visiting this spa bought it for spa week and went with 2 of my girl friend , it was great the staff was very nice and friendly and helpful. The massage and facial was great I will definitely go back and recommend this spa. read more

Took my BFF for a pre-wedding spa day. Facials, massages, manicures & pedicures were done professionally and we both felt and looked beautiful. read more

Walking into this establishment, my first reaction was how peaceful it was. The decor and colors felt like I was in a Buddhist temple and it was so relaxing. You hear the sound of waterfalls and calming music. The workers there all greeted me with the same enthusiasm. It was very warming. The place is so clean. I really enjoyed my pedi and gel manicure. The lady who helped me also gave me such a wonderful massage. I also got my eyebrows done and I'm very anal on how they look. Mine came out perfect!! I was so happy. One eyebrow is usually thinner than the other but she took her time with it. This will definitely be my new "go to" spot. Very excited!!! read more

This spa is truly a hidden gem! The staff was very professional and kind. The prices are very reasonable! I surprised my boyfriend with a 1 hr couples massage. It was very good. Even though you don't get robes/slippers everything else is up to par. After you are done you get green tea or water. I then got a green tea pedicure with hot stone! It was on point! No complaints! GO TO THIS SPA, search no more! read more

NuZen Spa - Couples massage room. Dim relaxing lighting and serene spa music! - Day Spas Near Me - Oceanside, New York

This place is genuinely amazing. I came here with a friend to celebrate my birthday and to just unwind from the everyday grind. The staff is soo friendly and professional. The services are impeccable. I will try to make a stop in routinely to unwind and disconnect from my busy schedule. read more

I received a Swedish massage and mini facial here! They greeted me with smiles. It was my first time here and I felt at home. 20 minutes into my massage I was so relaxed I fell asleep. The woman who gave me my massage was nice and quiet but did always check in just to make sure she wasn't massaging me too hard. I really appreciated this bc my body is very sensitive to touch and have been very soar from massages at other establishments. My facial had my skin feeling amazing! I'm going to go back VERY SOON! read more

I loved my first experience here. I went to Jennifer and she did a gorgeous job. I definitely will be returning!

I am not from this area and I had recently moved here and was looking to fall inlove with a new nail salon. I usually go by reviews before I go to a place so I figured perfect I will give them a try. I will say the staff is extremely nice and the crystal nail gel manicure I had was gorgeous... For the first day only. I am a stay at home wife and I really do not do any heavy work for my nails to just keep continually popping off and breaking off. When the nail tech was finished, she said if anything falls off to please come back free of charge which I thought was so nice, but she said it for a reason. My nails only after less than a week have all completely come off after doing simple dishes, folding clothes, and washing my hair. I am sad that I spent 75.00 for a set of nails that did not even make it a week. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

Have been here a few times and had good results. The place could be cleaner I'm turned off by nail clippings al over the floor. Doesn't seem the cleanest place. Yesterday my daughter and I got gel manicures. and pedicures We wanted the hands matching the toes which they said wouldn't be a problem. Well my toes were dark red and my hands bright red. My daughters toes were copper and hands were gold. When I complained the girl told me it was my skin color on my toes and it was the same color. Well it didn't match and I kept explaining that and she redid it with the same color!!! It still didn't match. Other salons match the gel color to regular polish. That's all I wanted. She was also very very rude. We won't be back. $90 wasted and my nails are missing color on all side! read more

Stopped by with no appointment and they were able to accommodate me.$35 for a 30 minute massage with Nancy and she was incredible. The space was clean, comfortable, and she checked in with me several times to make sure the pressure she was applying was right. It was! read more

Was going there for a bit, but last few times have been awful. They do always take you on time which is a big plus, but the new techs they have working there are un-trained and terrible. Mani lasted a day, pedi was a disaster. Will not be returning! read more

I used a gift card on Saturday...my first time here...and I will be going back FOR SURE! Such a friendly warm staff. The ambiance is soothing and calm. Just what you want to relax! I got the Honey & Milk Spa Manicure and it was AMAZING. I seriously almost fell asleep during my 20 minute (included!) arm and neck massage! I cant wait to go back! read more

This was my first time at Nu Zen spa. It was so calm, relaxing and impeccably clean. Nancy did such an amazing job with my deep tissue massage and facial. I was impressed how catering and helpful everyone was. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. read more

Racist! I (white) booked an appointment with my wife (Black) for a massage/mani/pedi. During the pedicure, my wife was not given the included foot massage (my pedicure took 20 minutes longer than hers did). When I asked about it, I did not get a straight answer other than being told that my pedicurist was new and slow at her job - I don't know when she started, but her speed was on par with other pedicures I've gotten in the past. This place is racist. No one should come here. read more

I booked my sister's Bachelorette Party here and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. We had the whole upstairs part to ourselves for the afternoon so while some of the girls were getting their massages, the other girls were able to relax on the couch they have. The massages were excellent, everyone was incredibly relaxed after. The decor of the spa is so calm and relaxing and it is incredibly clean. The staff is wonderful and so accommodating, they allowed us to bring in wine and fruit for everyone to snack on. All of the girls could not stop raving about their massages throughout the night. I'm so glad I found this place, perfect massages and the prices are great! read more

If you are looking for an amazing spa, a relaxing environment and great massage this is the place to go! My husband and I read the reviews and took a chance and came to this local gem. Everyone is so sweet and positive and trying to be as helpful as possible. It's my first time here but everyone around me has been here multiple times and has only wonderful things to say. The space is clean and QUIET and smells yummy! The green tea is a lovely touch. Apple did my lavender spa pedicure and her massage was outrageous! I'll be back soon!! read more

MY LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN! I went here for the first time on a groupon for a pedicure, and have been going here for a couple years now for massages. This is not your average long island nail salon, this is a full on SPA, and a beautiful one. Upstairs where they do massages/facials etc is a relaxation waiting area and they offer tea and water. The deep tissues massages are amazing, esp Nancy. I always stay a little while after and use the private sauna and rain shower, taking advantage of the full spa. The mani/pedis are awesome, with comfy massage chairs. It's worth paying a couple dollars more to go here and actually feel like you're having a little retreat. But they run specials mon-wed that makes a mani-pedi $25. Let's face it, some of the crowded, old nail salons make you dread going to get a decent manicure. This is more like a spa day environment. Love love love NuZen. read more

My mom and I both love it here! The owner always, Nancy, greets us by name and is always asking how things are. The spa is beautiful and clean. I never feel rushed and am always happy with my manicure and pedicure. Whenever Lisa is there I also get a massage. She is amazing! I highly recommend Nu Zen!!! read more

Do not go here! My sister and I were customers 2 days ago. This was the worst service we have ever received. We had an appointment for 3pm for the Cozy Spa package. Once we were taken upstairs for a couples massage, the ladies performing the massages were talking in their language for 75% of the time. We then had pedicures, which were great other than the fact that the same two girls were talking about my sister and I in their language. They made it very obvious because they kept looking at us and talking and laughing. My sister then received a manicure by the owner and she took over 2 HOURS to finish my sisters nails. My sister wanted a regular fill in. I have never had someone take over 2 hours for a basic fill in. Not only did she take 2 hours, but she burned my sisters hand with the electric file and butchered my sisters nails. A 2-3 hour spa day turned into a almost 5 hour process. When it was finally time to leave, the owner tried to charge us extra. We are not the type to not pay for what we receive, but after the terrible service, it was completely distasteful for her to try to charge us $250 for a package that was $190. I have never been so disappointed by a spa before. It was even worse to see that it happened on my sisters birthday because they ended up ruining our plans for the rest of the evening. It was absolutely terrible service. read more

Very relaxing & clean environment to be in, especially in the spa upstairs. The service was great, and I loved the massage I got. I was truly impressed and cannot wait to go back there! read more

Whomever answered the phone was pretty rude, I only asked nicely to speak to the manager or owner & they said no and hung up on me..not even asking why I was calling or at least to call back etc.....I was going to plan a spa day event for my best friend's bachelorette party but i'll take my business elsewhere..what shame when you have rude employees and you miss out on future business. I hope the owner or manager sees this. I will not be returning to this spa in the future, I might get hung up on when I try and make an appointment . read more

Just came from a "girl's morning at the nail salon" with my mother in law and 6 year old daughter. The salon is beautiful and very peaceful and they did a lovely job with our nails, especially the flowers on my daughters nails. They gave us a tour of the spa and I am looking forward to booking an appointment. The entire staff was very friendly and kind. read more

I rarely treat myself to a manicure, but it was my daughter's wedding. I asked for a gel manicure, had it done on Friday, and by Monday it was all chipped. By Tuesday, I had to remove it, which was easy to do without polish remover as it just peeled off. I paid $25 plus tip and it was supposed to last for at least 2 weeks. I am very disappointed! I will not go again. read more

Overall, always a good experience. I've been several times since the place opened. The owners have done a nice job remodelling. The aesthetics are pleasing and everything always looks very clean. The staff is very nice. I've had the facial a few times and to me it was average. Depending on your therapist, the facial massage varies from being wow to just OK. I only do the facial as an add-on if there is a special so it's not bad for the price. Same with the mani and pedi, which are fine. I generally go for the massages, which are great. Nancy is outstanding. Definitely one of the best therapists I've had in over 25 years. Apple and Amy are also good. Even though it looks like a fancy spa, it is not your typical fancy spa experience. No robes or anything like that. You basically have your services in 1 room. I've only been for the facial and massage on the same day, and they are done in the same room so you don't have to get up in between. Not sure how the spa packages work. The deep tissue massage is definitely the way to go. read more

Came Saturday for a 60 min Swedish massage and a deep cleansing facial.. was so impressed. I'll start by saying the place is spotless and the decor is really beautiful. The spa section is upstairs and it's a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I had one of the best massages I've had anywhere. Once that was done I was allowed to stay in the same room for the facial- so I never had to get up, switch rooms etc... my facial was also lovely. The staff here is so kind and attentive- always asking if I needed any water or tea, checking to see if the temperature in the room was okay for me.... but the best part of it all was the price! What a deal! I liked the salon and its staff so much that when I left I made an appointment to have my nails done here the next day. I moved to the south shore about 6 months ago and had yet to find a nail salon I really liked so I figured I'd try Nuzen out since I had had such a positive experience. I was not disappointed. I had a UV gel fill with gel polish... price was average, but work was very good! Good selection of gel colors. This will be my new nail spot. Clean, beautiful decor, awesome staff. Would recommend making an appointment before going. read more

I wanted a change from the larger, noisy places in the area so I came here. First time was pleasant. Second time, not so great as I had a late in day appointment and the operator clearly wanted to leave.I had gel put on my nails and she did not put color on them, just a clear finish. She said saw I was unhappy and would change it, but we already had been there for two hours...yes, it takes her a long time to do fill ins. She said I could come back and she would fix it free of charge, however, I work long hours and my extra time is limited. I gave her another try. She could not do polish with gel top coat as all other nail salons do. Not sure why. I was tired and agreed to gel finish, However, within three days, my nail fell off and two others broke. I went today to get it fixed, was told it could get done. I get there and a man tells me Nancy is not in, I should make an appointment during the week. That is it, I am done. They lack experience with anything beyond the basic manicure which is too bad because this is a great location and great ambiance, read more
