I booked their special: a 60-minute body massage with a 30-minute foot/leg massage. Like some other reviews mentioned, they tried to charge an extra $10 for scented oil, which didn't make sense since I was face down for most of the massage. The staff asked in a way that felt misleading--"scented body oil?"--and when I said yes, she quickly said, "Okay, $10 extra." A clearer way to ask would have been, "Would you like to add scented body oil for $10?" The massage felt rushed, with minimal time spent on certain areas--just a couple of passes before moving on. On the positive side, the place was clean and the staff were nice. Overall, it was okay, but I've had more relaxing experiences at other massage places.

Wrongfully charged the wrong price in person.

I made an appointment for a foot massage. I was upset because as you can see the price is $30. They charged me $35. Can I afford $5 is not the issue. How many people are they over charging. It's ridiculous that they post one price and charge another when you go in. This is totally unfair. Just be honest and charge the correct price. Who knows how many people they over charged. Such BS!

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and have been back 3 times since. This place is nice and I enjoyed my experiences. My first visit was when I booked the salt cave for 45 min and then a 60 min massage. We got to sit in the cave and relax listening to soft music, they gave us tea and it was really nice. There was two beds set up in the room for those that will get a massage in the cave however those who do not sit in chairs on the side. When we were finished we went into another room and got our massages, we were across from one another not side by side as most couple massages are but I was happy with our experience and the service. After your massage is finished when you get back to the front they give you a small cup of water and proceed with check out. We also came back and got just a foot massage which was ok I definitely prefer the full body from here. The inside was clean and I absolutely love all the salt statues in the front that are available for sale when I am able to I definitely will purchase a piece.

I heard of this place through another spa I went to and wanted to try this place after I saw a daal for it. The place is very easy to find. Doesn't look like much from outside the store. It is located at a shopping center. Upon entering, it is quite cozy. They have shelf's lined with Himalayan salt and candles among other things on it. It's a very cozy opening to the business. The staff lead you to the back where it is low light and dark. There is a separate room for the salt cave. They were very nice to let me go in myself. The room has lots of chairs and the floor is lined with salt. There is salt rocks that lined the walls and they put a small window like on the ceiling with stars. The best part is the one hour foot message. They message your shoulders as week. They give you a heated eye mask and headphones with a heated cushion for your neck. It was very relaxing and refreshing at the same time. It was like a reset. Great place to go for messages and salt cave.

Waiting area.

I've been going here for years. I love the attention they give for the 1 hour feet massage. They massage your shoulders for a few minutes. They have you lay down on a recliner. Put on soft spa music on a soft headphones on your ears. You get covered with a blanket. They massage your calves and feet. It is certainly relaxing. Be wary of any extra add ons. I would say no to the add ons. The normal massage is good enough. Right now, the price for an hour feet massage is $40 for 60 minutes. I used to pay $30. It went up to $35. Now, $40. I think the price went up because of the newly constructed salt cave they have, in the back or inflation. I would still recommend going there because of the peaceful and relaxing environment it is. Tip: Wear loose clothing. Pants that go up your knees. Loose sweater. Do not wear jewelry ( could get lost and disrupts the massage). Stamp your reward card.

My wife got us a couples Groupon for the salt cave, it's definitely a new experience from your typical massage spa. The receptionist were all nice, and were lead to the salt room cave. The cave itself was nice, had a calming mood, and relaxing and you feel at ease. However, when you do get into position for the spa you I felt the sound from the water was a little to loud, kinda like an evaporating fish tank, also the music was a little muffled one you start to relax I noticed it. But these were minor nit picks I have. Otherwise I will go to this spa again.

I went to a Sound Healing class last night with my friends and was very excited to experience the…read moresalt cave as well as the sound bath. This was my first time visiting the Healing Grotto and I was excited based off the event description and the picture from the website. Unfortunately, we didn't get anything that was advertised! "Small groups with inviduals sitting in anti gravity chairs to completely relax" - There were NO chairs. We had to sit on the floor for over an hour and a half which is torture on my body!! They crammed maybe 25 of us into the tiny salt cave and some of us barely has room to half lay down. It was very, very clear they overbooked and just wanted to get more money rather than make this event special for their attendees. "During the session, Rick will move around the room and give each attendee a more personal experience" - Absolutely not. There was no room for anyone to do anything, let alone for him to get up and come to each of his. I do not blame Rick for this. "Each attendee will receive a complimentary 10 minute "Chakra on the Go" download" - Didn't happen! We asked the guy behind the counter about this and he had no clue what was advertised on their website. He tried to make us ask Rick about it but we made him ask, seeing as he was the one working there. We were told to message Rick for our download. The facility itself seems nice but I certainly wouldn't get a massage there. The rooms led right into the lobby and I can't imagine how loud it gets. Speaking of loud, distracting noises, during the sound healing there were motors running the whole time, switching on and off. Very distracting on top of my pain from sitting on the floor. All in all, I did not enjoy my experience, I feel I completely wasted $50 and I feel I was ripped off. To be promised a relaxing, intimate of healing and just get a painful, session of 'how long can you sit still", is no fun and I don't feel any better, happier or healed for having visited this place. Oh and that guy either had no clue what he was doing trying to ring my friend up or he deliberately wasted an extra 10 minutes of our time. Which brings up another point, the healing was an 80 min session. About 30 of those minutes were spent chit chatting and an unnecessary Q&A afterwards that seriously broke any sort of connection I had received from the music. An awful night made only better by virtue of the fact that I was with my friends and Rick's music was nice, I'll admit. Certainly never coming back to this location though.

Saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to…read moregive it a whirl , I called around 12 pm this afternoon and booked for 5 pm for me and my daughter . Very welcoming , clean and relaxing . When you walk in you leave your belongings in the cubby including your shoes and walk into the salt cave , beautiful setting (see attached pics & video for the full experience) , the floor is all salt , beautiful salt lamps , lit ceiling , relaxing fireplace and four super comfy chairs . We started on the chairs , then sat on the floor , then laid on the floor. Of course we took all our pics and videos when we first walked in and then I confiscated all the devices and put them aside to just unplug for the remaining time . 45 minutes of pure zen ! We left feeling super relaxed , the only tiny complaint I have is you can hear some noise from the street but no biggie . Absolutely a must try ! On our way out we purchased two boxes of bath bombs , a Himalayan salt night light and a super dope salt lamp bowl ! When we got home we were unpacking the salt lamp and noticed it was broken so I called to tell them and the girl was super sweet , she even offered to drop us off a new one on her way home ! Wow I didn't want to take her out of her way so we decided to drive in tomorrow and exchange it but my daughter was so excited she couldn't wait so we got in the car and drove over hahaha Jahira, (I hope I'm spelling her name right) was at the desk with a new inspected lamp ready for us , the customer service here is impeccable Before I left, I booked the salt cave again for April for my family as a surprise cause we're all in need of some unwinding during these crazy times . Can't wait to come back again ! Thank you for an amazing, tranquil experience

The room itself was very nice. Not too big, walls were made of Himalayan pink salt bricks, that were pieced together with what looked like a Himalayan salt based mortar. The ceiling looked like a Himalayan salt based popcorn ceiling, and there was a fireplace made with more Himalayan salt bricks and the Himalayan salt mortar. The floor was the salt and felt a little like the sand on the north shore. We sat on the zero gravity chairs and gad a great time! The cave has healing properties and is said to boost immunity and combat viruses, so it's a perfect go to during this pandemic!

This was my first time trying a 'salt room'. I went in with an open mind, and over the years have…read moretried a number of alternative therapies. On this one, I can't say I'm convinced it does anything. Sure, the overall space is nice and 'zen'. The salt room itself, very 'pretty' with all the various white/ivory/peach/pink/coral/orange shades of the salt walls. The feeling of salt crystals under your bare feet? Nice. Relaxing chairs to sit in. But at the end of the 30 minute session, did I feel anything special beyond the fact that I just 'relaxed' in a pretty room for 30 minutes? No. Note that the salt room can also hold up to three clients at a time, which means they have the potential to charge up to $87 for three people, for just a 30-minute period. That's $174 per hour for a room that's filled with salt. Where no personal or hands-on service is provided...just clients 'sitting' in a room. I guess they also disperse 'saline aerosol' into the room while you are sitting in there. I'm not exactly sure what that is, or how it's supposed to be beneficial to you but then it begs the question...is it the saline aerosol that benefits you and/or some type of 'energy' that is supposed to come from the salt itself in the room? I don't know...I just have to wonder if this salt room thing is nothing more than an (unproved) trend that they are going to milk for all it's worth, until the next wellness trend comes along. When I first arrived and was eventually directed to the room, even though they knew it was my first time there, I was given no real direction or expectation...just told to go on in the room. (Typically you'd expect some type of introductory language...'we pipe saline aerosol into the room...this provides XYZ, etc'). I also found it odd that at the end of the 30-minute session, the woman working the desk simply came to the room and opened the door without warning. No knock, no 'bell' to let me know the session was over...just her, suddenly opening the door. (Typically at personal service places like that, they would knock on the door first, or ask if it's ok to enter, and especially considering I was in the room all alone, i.e., maybe I was in the middle of taking a weird selfie when she just opened the door?) Maybe next time I'll give the infrared sauna a try and see how that goes...but as for the salt room and just sitting in there, I don't think I'd spend my money on that again. It so happens that at the time, I was starting to feel quite sick with a bad cold. Other reviews here seemed to suggest they felt 'relief' from a cold. I felt no difference in anything, after my salt room session.

(If you haven't been - nothing beats the feeling of reclining in a zero gravity chair in such a therapeutic space.) This was the first salt cave experience of the two friends who joined me, and now they are hooked :) It's easy to miss in Inspiration Wharf (have to walk towards the water from the main road) in a lower-level shop. Another friend told me she was in Inspiration Wharf earlier today and didn't realize the Port Salt Cave was there. The shop itself is so lovely and I adore the owners! We had trouble leaving because we were admiring all the crystals, jewelry, Himalayan salt, blown glass and crafts. We also had trouble leaving because the energy in the shop feels great - partially due to the Himalayan salt and partially due to the energy of all the crystals. My 2 friends were curious as to what a "salt cave" was so we asked to see the inside of it from the salt cave room entrance. This is one of the loveliest salt cave rooms I have ever seen. There was a 2 for 1 special and the room was currently vacant so we took that as a sign and booked the hour session. For safety each of our temperatures were taken before we could enter, and for sanitary reasons we each put coverings on our shoes. From there we chose a zero gravity chair and were given information about the room before the session started. There is the calming sound of a waterfall in the room plus relaxing music over the speakers. All three of us highly recommend the shop and the salt cave and can't wait to go back!
