Red Bean Nut Mylk with Nut Cream

Heard little whispers of this place from local foodies and finally had the opportunity to try them out for myself! Like others have mentioned, it was a little hard to spot as they're tucked away in a basement, but once you're in the area, you'll start to see cute signs leading you to their direction. They're located on Whyte Ave so of course, parking is a nightmare but well worth it. I came here two weekends in a row because I was blown away by their drinks the first time we visited. Both times, the service was so friendly, patient, and helpful - they are very good about answering your questions and providing recommendations. Seating is mostly bar-style; there are a few benches, but moreso meant for those waiting for their drinks. The aesthetics here are simply adorable, with a few fake plants and decorative art on a brick wall. On our first visit, we ordered the Strawberry Tea with Nut Cream and Grape Tea with Nut Cream, along with two seasonal drinks: Yuzu Mango with Nut Cream and Red Bean Nut Mylk with Nut Cream. I loved that they have a variety of unique, seasonal drinks on top of their usual menu. They also allow adjustments to sugar and ice levels, so we all opted for 50% sugar and regular ice. Their base must not have a lot of sugar to begin with as I found that there wasn't much sweetness with 50% sugar. This was perfect for me when mixed with their Nut Cream, but others may find it's not sweet enough. I had the chance to try all the drinks, and really enjoyed all of them! The Yuzu Mango was the most refreshing of them all, but the Grape Tea was the most unique, and I can see why that's one of their featured drinks. On our second visit, we tried the Hojicha Nut Mylk Tea with Hojicha Nut Cream and the Pineapple Tea with Nut Cream. As a lover of Japanese teas, I really enjoyed the Hojicha Tea but my partner claimed is tastes like 'dirty water' haha. I honestly prefer the Hojicha Nut Cream to the regular version - I find it offers a gentle hint of the tea aroma, and will likely opt for this on all my orders going forward. The Pineapple Tea had a nice tropical punch, and it paired perfectly with the Nut Cream - I think this was my favourite combination so far! I've been recommending this place to everyone, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Second time here since I enjoyed my drink soooo much last visit. Took my boyfriend here at 9PM on a Friday night and he loved the entrance (down some random side stairs). I tried one of their fan favorites Black Grape tea with nut cream. Boyfriend got overwhelmed by the choices and got the Green Grape tea with nut cream. Fairly similar in taste. I really liked the strawberry tea with nut cream more but this had a very nice light taste. Nut cream was 12/10 I wish I could buy a bucketful good. Boyfriend gave this a 12/10 too and can't wait to come back. I HIGHLY recommend this drink to anyone who will listen!

The nut cream is thick & tasty! You won't notice it's vegan. Plus, a very Instagram worthy location. Gluten free options were basically unlimited. I'll have to go back another time because they were so busy opening week that they were short on ingredients in the evening. The strawberry nut cream is next on my list! Update: I went back and the strawberry nut cream was totally worth it!! Highly recommend any drink with that in it.

I love bubble tea, so when I heard about a vegan bubble tea place on Whyte I just had to try it. Nuttea doesn't just have bubble tea - there is also a variety of teas and coffee using nut mylk, as well as drink confections loaded with nut mylk cream. I went for a jasmine tea, which is a flavour I enjoy, and the nut mylk really complemented the flavour. The sizes are not huge and prices are on the expensive side, but the drinks are great and unique.

After exploring the farmers market wanted to grab a drink before hitting the road so we stopped by nut tea. We ordered two drinks, a fruit tea and a milk tea. We decided to do less sugar and I don't recommend doing that. As less sugar, means no sugar. The staff members were really nice, and very interested in sharing the tea drinks with us there on assortment of drinks which was interesting as I've never seen a restaurant archery place like this before. I recommend giving a try if you're into milk alternatives, but unfortunately for me my tea did not taste that great. That being said the tea area was aesthetically cute, and had some sitting as well as a bathroom downstairs so that was nice.

Lovely staff, cute shop. Cozy. Drink was terrible. Maybe just not my style. I'd definitely go back and try something else. My Biscoff drink just tasted like milk.

    Cute entrance!

The drinks are amazing. I had the pineapple tea with nut cream and my daughter had the chai tea with the nut cream. We loved both

Got the strawberry nut milk ($7.50) which came in a grande-sized paper cup. It tasted superb!

I've been to a couple of Tiger Sugar's in the past, but I never really found a drink on their menu…read morethat was perfect and not too sweet for me. But from what I ordered recently, I was pretty satisfied and finished up my drink quickly. I ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba, 25% sweetness and 25% ice. The sweetness level was exactly what I liked in a boba drink. The boba pearls were nice and chewy. I didn't realize that I could get 3 toppings for 99 cents altogether, so next time I would get pudding too. Last time I got the Mango Sago drink at another location and it was just too sweet for me. I should've known because I couldn't adjust the sweetness and drinks tend to be too sweet for me in general. However the Earl Grey Milk Tea was such a great option for me. My boyfriend got the Taro Pudding Milk Tea. It was delicious. He couldn't adjust the sweetness, but I didn't think it was too sweet to enjoy. The taro pudding was delicious. There wasn't much space to sit inside. There was a large group at a seated in the middle, but we managed to get a table to ourselves at the very end. Inside the shop, they only have three tables. Service was quick, wait time wasn't too bad. There is a bathroom inside but it ended up being out of service when we went. Overall, I liked my drink. The menu is pretty extensive and there's a bunch of options to choose from.

I had been eagerly anticipating Tiger Sugar's opening ever since I saw the signage start going up…read more I've had their drinks before outside Canada and knew they stand out compared to other tea options in Edmonton. They officially opened last week and I stopped by at my first opportunity. The space is fair small with just a few tables for those who want to eat in. Right now it is still decorated with tiger balloons for their grand opening. I ordered the strawberry mochi drink with oat milk and the staff member was kind enough to confirm that while they could do this drink with oat, it would still contain milk ingredients. While that isn't an issue for me, just a preference, I was happy that she checked to be safe. This drink might possibly be the prettiest tea I've ever had. It is full of colourful toppings and the cup was streaked with strawberry (their signature "tiger stripes"). After giving it a good shake, I took my tea to-go. My only very minor complaint is that their straws are very flimsy and I wasn't able to puncture the seal with it.

Popped in to kill some time while the teen was at a focus group…read more I was BLOWN away by the selection!!! I opted for a Lavendar vanilla bubble tea (made with brewed Lavendar tea). The staff member was friendly and the environment inviting. Parking is free which is a HUGE bonus on Whyte Ave. They had a variety of seating and even a small bookshelf of games! Prices were completely reasonable - large was $5.99 with a smaller size available for slightly less. Next time I'd really like to try something with the cheese foam or egg pudding on the bottom But I had dinner not too long before the visit so went with a 1/2 sweet more traditional milk tea.

It's nice that they have a lot as parking around whyte especially come those warmer months can be a challenge. Open everyday of the year (including Christmas). They had a soft opening and were offering 15% off their menu which was nice. They have a good variety of drink flavours on their menu. I ordered a peach pineapple green fruit tea with lychee (0.75 extra). My drink was really refreshing and delicious. You have the option of choosing your sugar level (extra, normal, or none). I went with normal. It was sweet but not too bad. I would definitely get that flavour again. Apparently they also sell snacks and pastries. They didn't have them during their soft opening but I was told they would once they fully open. They appear to have a decent amount of seating for a smaller place. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly.
