    Mango Bubble Tea
    Pamela D.

I was unreasonably scared to try bubble tea since moving to Canada. 1. I'd never heard of them before, and 2. The balls.... I didn't trust them. My curiosity got the better of me yesterday when I found myself walking into My Tea. This place is new to the area, it's only been on the Avenue a few months but they seem right at home already. The owner was very welcoming and gave me some good chat on what bubble tea actually is. I explained this was a first for me, she was happy to tell me the difference between the Asian ones (milk and tea based) and the westernized versions (fruity). She even let me try the tapioca balls first to make sure I would like it. I did and I went with the mango. I proudly walked back along the avenue, bubble tea in hand. Cheers to My Tea for popping my bubble tea cherry.

I love my bubble tea... Being to several different bubble tea places in Edmonton, I have to say "My Tea" is now on my top list. They are new and have a small location on whyte ave. The moment you walk in you immediately encounter the "not rushed" feeling. Here you're allowed to take your time to look at the menu without anxiety. The menu has a variety of fruits and mixes. Today we decided on Pina colada and taro with red bean. I'm in love with the fresh fruit ingredients and the substitution for Milk with Soy milk. Accommodating the few of us that cannot digest dairy has a place in my heart. We didn't have to wait long for our BT. The owners are fast and friendly. The bubble tea tasted yummy and fresh ( I can't express my happiness with the freshness). I will be back to My Tea very soon. I highly recommend paying them a visit when you're strolling down whyte ave.

Lovely little bubble tea place. It's small yet has a fair amount of seating including a window bar area. The staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions if you feel lost in all the options. While the bubble tea menu is very big I found it was easy to navigate through. Fresh fruit options, real tea and they can customize the sweetness level.

This is definitely one of the best bubble tea cafés in the city. I very much recommend that if you're on whyte Ave or just looking for a good bubble tea place to try, then you should come here. It's locally owned and operated and the owners are always there working and really friendly. They also make their own desserts, so give it a try. I tried the Orenilla (Oreo & Vanilla mix) and the Taronut (Taro & Coconut mix) which were both really good. They primarily use fresh ingredients in their drinks and desserts. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Come try it out, I'm sure you won't be disappointed and I'll definitely be going back again for more.

First time at this bubble tea shop and I was honestly impressed! We ordered the tropical bubble tea and it was delicious. We haven't tried the whole menu but our first time was a success! It is a cute little store and there is free wifi available if you plan to stay there longer. The service was great as well. Would try again and would recommend to someone else.

I've been to a couple of Tiger Sugar's in the past, but I never really found a drink on their menu…read morethat was perfect and not too sweet for me. But from what I ordered recently, I was pretty satisfied and finished up my drink quickly. I ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba, 25% sweetness and 25% ice. The sweetness level was exactly what I liked in a boba drink. The boba pearls were nice and chewy. I didn't realize that I could get 3 toppings for 99 cents altogether, so next time I would get pudding too. Last time I got the Mango Sago drink at another location and it was just too sweet for me. I should've known because I couldn't adjust the sweetness and drinks tend to be too sweet for me in general. However the Earl Grey Milk Tea was such a great option for me. My boyfriend got the Taro Pudding Milk Tea. It was delicious. He couldn't adjust the sweetness, but I didn't think it was too sweet to enjoy. The taro pudding was delicious. There wasn't much space to sit inside. There was a large group at a seated in the middle, but we managed to get a table to ourselves at the very end. Inside the shop, they only have three tables. Service was quick, wait time wasn't too bad. There is a bathroom inside but it ended up being out of service when we went. Overall, I liked my drink. The menu is pretty extensive and there's a bunch of options to choose from.

I had been eagerly anticipating Tiger Sugar's opening ever since I saw the signage start going up…read more I've had their drinks before outside Canada and knew they stand out compared to other tea options in Edmonton. They officially opened last week and I stopped by at my first opportunity. The space is fair small with just a few tables for those who want to eat in. Right now it is still decorated with tiger balloons for their grand opening. I ordered the strawberry mochi drink with oat milk and the staff member was kind enough to confirm that while they could do this drink with oat, it would still contain milk ingredients. While that isn't an issue for me, just a preference, I was happy that she checked to be safe. This drink might possibly be the prettiest tea I've ever had. It is full of colourful toppings and the cup was streaked with strawberry (their signature "tiger stripes"). After giving it a good shake, I took my tea to-go. My only very minor complaint is that their straws are very flimsy and I wasn't able to puncture the seal with it.

Popped in to kill some time while the teen was at a focus group…read more I was BLOWN away by the selection!!! I opted for a Lavendar vanilla bubble tea (made with brewed Lavendar tea). The staff member was friendly and the environment inviting. Parking is free which is a HUGE bonus on Whyte Ave. They had a variety of seating and even a small bookshelf of games! Prices were completely reasonable - large was $5.99 with a smaller size available for slightly less. Next time I'd really like to try something with the cheese foam or egg pudding on the bottom But I had dinner not too long before the visit so went with a 1/2 sweet more traditional milk tea.

It's nice that they have a lot as parking around whyte especially come those warmer months can be a challenge. Open everyday of the year (including Christmas). They had a soft opening and were offering 15% off their menu which was nice. They have a good variety of drink flavours on their menu. I ordered a peach pineapple green fruit tea with lychee (0.75 extra). My drink was really refreshing and delicious. You have the option of choosing your sugar level (extra, normal, or none). I went with normal. It was sweet but not too bad. I would definitely get that flavour again. Apparently they also sell snacks and pastries. They didn't have them during their soft opening but I was told they would once they fully open. They appear to have a decent amount of seating for a smaller place. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly.
