Hopped over to Zen Q after being told at Snowy Village that there was a 45 min wait. Came here and was happy that it wasn't too busy at all. Immediate seating available, and we had our orders brought to our table after a short wait. We ordered a shaved ice and tofu pudding. The portion size for the tofu pudding was kind of small, but the shaved ice serving size was pretty generous (minus the skimpy toppings). We ordered the matcha flavored shaved ice, with which you could definitely taste the matcha flavor, and it didn't taste powdery. The only issue was that there was one tiny scoop of ice cream (and why would it be matcha ice cream?! the ice is already matcha flavored!), and small amounts of q balls and pearls (two thumbs up for how the pearls taste though - the right amount of chewiness and brown sugar taste). The syrup in which the tofu pudding sits in was good, not overly sweet, and a nice compliment to the tofu. We felt like there was more toppings with the tofu pudding than the shaved ice, or maybe it just seemed that way because there was less tofu pudding than shaved ice? Free wifi available, no free parking since it's downtown; meter hours apply.

Best milk tea in town! I ordered ZenQ milk tea with 50% sweetness, 50% ice and small boba. It was utterly delightful. I also tried the matcha frappe with red bean and jelly. It was like a fun, chewy, deconstructed bubble tea. Give this place a try!

This bubble tea and dessert bar is cute and cozy. It isn't too loud but it no longer provides free Wi-Fi.

We tried two of the frappe desserts and they were both excellent.

I've been to a couple of Tiger Sugar's in the past, but I never really found a drink on their menu…read morethat was perfect and not too sweet for me. But from what I ordered recently, I was pretty satisfied and finished up my drink quickly. I ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba, 25% sweetness and 25% ice. The sweetness level was exactly what I liked in a boba drink. The boba pearls were nice and chewy. I didn't realize that I could get 3 toppings for 99 cents altogether, so next time I would get pudding too. Last time I got the Mango Sago drink at another location and it was just too sweet for me. I should've known because I couldn't adjust the sweetness and drinks tend to be too sweet for me in general. However the Earl Grey Milk Tea was such a great option for me. My boyfriend got the Taro Pudding Milk Tea. It was delicious. He couldn't adjust the sweetness, but I didn't think it was too sweet to enjoy. The taro pudding was delicious. There wasn't much space to sit inside. There was a large group at a seated in the middle, but we managed to get a table to ourselves at the very end. Inside the shop, they only have three tables. Service was quick, wait time wasn't too bad. There is a bathroom inside but it ended up being out of service when we went. Overall, I liked my drink. The menu is pretty extensive and there's a bunch of options to choose from.

I had been eagerly anticipating Tiger Sugar's opening ever since I saw the signage start going up…read more I've had their drinks before outside Canada and knew they stand out compared to other tea options in Edmonton. They officially opened last week and I stopped by at my first opportunity. The space is fair small with just a few tables for those who want to eat in. Right now it is still decorated with tiger balloons for their grand opening. I ordered the strawberry mochi drink with oat milk and the staff member was kind enough to confirm that while they could do this drink with oat, it would still contain milk ingredients. While that isn't an issue for me, just a preference, I was happy that she checked to be safe. This drink might possibly be the prettiest tea I've ever had. It is full of colourful toppings and the cup was streaked with strawberry (their signature "tiger stripes"). After giving it a good shake, I took my tea to-go. My only very minor complaint is that their straws are very flimsy and I wasn't able to puncture the seal with it.

It's no secret - I love bubble tea. I love the sweetness of the taste, the texture of the chewy…read moresago balls, and seemingly endless choices of flavours. As a result, I was very excited to see that a new bubble tea shop was opening, right on 97 street in the heart of Chinatown no less. The Bubble Tea Café sells a variety of bubble drinks, coffees, milkshakes, and slushes. A limited menu of Asian meals and snacks is also available. The price for a bubble tea is slightly lower than I have experienced in other places. My taro bubble tea tasted exactly as I wanted - sweet and milky. On another visit, I had a chocolate milkshake. The serving size was slightly smaller than I expected, but again, it was very rich. There are a few tables in the café, and service is very friendly. If you find yourself strolling down Chinatown and crave a refreshing drink (and there are a few hot drinks available that should be perfect for our coming cold weather), definitely stop into The Bubble Tea Café.

The bubble teas were great and reasonably priced, $3~3.50, though they are smaller than other bubble tea places. I also found that there were some ice chunks on the bottom that prevented you from sucking up the last bit of juice. A minor inconvenience. It's a very small place, 6 or 7 tables, but it looks like a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. It was kind of neat to watch the Hong Kong shows on the TV. Would definitely be back again to try the food. I really liked it here, giving it 3.5 stars.
