If you're not in a rush and want a tasty beverage, come here to satisfy your boba craving! It gets pretty busy here. Today we came around 2ish and waited about 15 minutes. This is a worldwide chain with over 2,000 stores, so it has to be good right? Yes, it is! The tapioca balls were firm but not too firm. I've been to some places where it's either too hard or way too chewy. I found these to be perfect! Also, flavour was great! I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more drinks. I have my eye on the red bean matcha milk tea :)

This is a newly opened location of a popular Asian bubble tea chain with another location downtown. Inside is clean, bright, and orange & bright green theme coloured. TV is at the back corner of seating area, but wasn't working when I was there. Parking is pretty full, but not too difficult to find a spot as a lot of people order takeout...that also makes seating a breeze. Lineup looks long but moves fast. Service is pretty quick here too. Washrooms are wheelchair friendly, but no diaper change table (yet?). No high chairs/boosters here, but my toddler had no issues with the height of available chairs. This chain has a smaller menu than other places in the city, drinks listed are not numbered, but instead are given unique names (2 ladies, 3 guys, etc.). Im pretty sure you can custom create a drink, but I prefer standard menu choices. The Promo BOGO drink is a plain bubble milk tea with tapioca...no substitutions (I guess that keeps them running efficiently). Know how you like your drinks because they will always ask how much ice (none, a little, or a lot) & how sweet you want it (none, 30%, 50%, 70%) or they will make it 100% sweet with a lot of ice. Drinks are also straight up liquid as compared to other places who make it more slushy. Tapioca (sago) pearls are a little smaller than I'm used to although the texture is still chewy & soft which is perfect. The cups also seem taller, but skinnier as well. If you order a few to go, they can pack them on a plastic drink tray in a plastic bag. Keep in mind all lids are sealed closed with pierce-able plastic. One thing that's different is that you can add "pudding" to your drink, which is basically jelly-like custard slices. I tried that, but I wouldn't do it again because I could barely taste it in my drink & having to suck it up with a straw didn't impress me at all. Other special add-ons include red beans or grass jelly.

2 ladies (tapioca and pudding) and matcha milk tea!

I'm so happy the south side location opened up since whenever I get coco cravings, I don't have to drive half an hour to get some good bubble tea! This location is pretty empty on weekdays. You'd expect it to be busy since a lot of people I knew were always making the trek to downtown, like I was, to get cocos! But it's never super busy. There's a lot of open tables and it's VERY roomy compared to the downtown location. This one is also much more convenient as you don't have to park along the street to get to the store! There's store front parking. As for the bubble tea, it's the exact same as the downtown location, but they use taller slimmer cups!

Taro slush

First time at this location and time trying taro slush at this location. Bathrooms are clean and location has seven tables each with about six chairs. I love that they have a points card for avid coco tea drinkers. Location seems to be busy with the line up winding around the entrance. Love that you can choose different types of drinks in tea, milk and slush form. I love that you can choose the amount of sugar and ice in the drink. Give this place a try if you are in the mood for bubble tea.

It's really good! I had the chocolate caramel milk tea with pudding. It tastes kind of like a iced mocha, there is no coffee in it though. It's great! They also have regular style bubble tea smoothies. The staff is friendly and happy to assist you and give some ideas of what to try. It's clean and well kept inside, there is also a lot of room. Check it out, you may like it.

First time trying the brown sugar milk tea 30% with pearl. I added grass jelly for anither .60 cents and it was so yummy. Glad I ordered the XL for another .50cents, completely worth it.

Delicious taro milk bbt

My first time this weekend at Cocos and let me say I was not disappointed. I am a bit picky when it comes to how my bbt is made and the flavors have to be perfect. What I did find that liked was you had an option of picking how much sugar you wanted in your bbt. This is awesome for any people who have a sweet tooth or for those who are more conscious of their sweet consumption. Needless to say I opted for a 30% sweetness in my Taro Milk bbt and it was just perfect. The service was quick and the decor was funky with neon plastic chairs. There was very good flow of customers but everyone got served quickly. There was also space enough to hold larger groups. What I did wish they'd have was more then one bathroom lol. Since at times the wait for the washroom was a little longer.

My brother was insane and bought a bunch of bubbleteas (see box full of them). Hubby drank most of his roasted milk bubble tea with sago before I got a chance to take a pic at home as its currently so hot outside. The roasted milk tea has a nice depth of flavor from a nice steeped tea they add to it. It's not as rich as the roasted milk tea from ChaTime as they dont use condensed milk/cream but just milk instead, so it tastes lighter. May have been the day, but their roasted milk tea tastes stronger than the same at their downtown location. Sago is nicely prepped with a good chew and not dry in centre. Their fruit slush are sadly not made with fresh fruit, but for juice/powder their mango passionfruit slush isnt overly artificial and still refreshing on a hot summer day. Staff are friendly and patient as you can customize the amount of ice, simple syrup as well as toppings and add-ins into your drinks. If you're feeling lazy, you can choose their creations, which personally I feel have too many ingredients so the flavors are too muddled, but to each their own, as I have a few friends that love the gazillion toppings and add ins piled into their drinks.

3 guys & original bubbletea

Best bubbletea place in town! I hate to say this but I find myself here at least once a week. Love the service here - employees are always friendly and enthusiastic. Every time it's not that busy, I'm almost always greeted at the door with "welcome to cocos!!" You can't substitute the toppings already included in a drink but the employees will gladly help to create the bubbletea you want. My go-to is the original bubbletea (which already comes with tapioca) with added grass jelly. So good! Also I love that you can customize your drink with the sugar and ice level. I tend to go for 50% sugar and no ice as it's already pre-chilled.

Mango smoothie!

I've been to a couple of Tiger Sugar's in the past, but I never really found a drink on their menu…read morethat was perfect and not too sweet for me. But from what I ordered recently, I was pretty satisfied and finished up my drink quickly. I ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba, 25% sweetness and 25% ice. The sweetness level was exactly what I liked in a boba drink. The boba pearls were nice and chewy. I didn't realize that I could get 3 toppings for 99 cents altogether, so next time I would get pudding too. Last time I got the Mango Sago drink at another location and it was just too sweet for me. I should've known because I couldn't adjust the sweetness and drinks tend to be too sweet for me in general. However the Earl Grey Milk Tea was such a great option for me. My boyfriend got the Taro Pudding Milk Tea. It was delicious. He couldn't adjust the sweetness, but I didn't think it was too sweet to enjoy. The taro pudding was delicious. There wasn't much space to sit inside. There was a large group at a seated in the middle, but we managed to get a table to ourselves at the very end. Inside the shop, they only have three tables. Service was quick, wait time wasn't too bad. There is a bathroom inside but it ended up being out of service when we went. Overall, I liked my drink. The menu is pretty extensive and there's a bunch of options to choose from.

TLDR: I love their bubble tea but won't be coming back. Why bother having a storefront if you can't…read morestaff it properly and safely? Twice during the weekday lunch hour I've stopped by Tiger Sugar, stood at the counter and been completely ignored by the staff seated in the office. The first time I was solo, and came in on a Wednesday at around 1:15pm. I could see a man seated in the office looking at a computer as I stood at the counter. I'm short so I yelled "hello?" in case he couldn't see me. After a few minutes of doing this, I gave up because I had to go back to work. He never even looked up. The second time I came in with my spouse, who is tall. We could both plainly see a woman seated in the same spot at the desk computer. This was a Thursday at around 12:45. Again no acknowledgement, no way no notify her other than screaming over the front end music. Once again, limited time on a lunch break, we left empty handed. WTF x 2 to the business owner that there is no front entrance notification: 1) This store is downtown and the majority of your business is going to be office workers, probably around weekday lunchtime. A business owner might want to plan for that if their employees are also going to be taking their break at about this time. 2) If your solo-working employee can't hear people coming in the front entrance, even shouting from the counter, in a part of town with a high population of individuals who are under the influence and have unpredictable behavior, what does that say about safety at work? Is there not even a front door camera with a feed next to the computer monitor in the office? Those employees are sitting ducks. This place is a WCB nightmare waiting to happen! You've lost my business permanently Tiger Sugar.
