The Nuts factory has a variety of snacks. Nuts, dried fruits, chocolates, candies, coffee, and tea. First time visiting, but have been walking by this store for sometime. Love how they have everything place into these big wooden barrels. It is a very big store. All ground level corner location you cannot miss. If you are into nuts and dried fruits this is the place to visit. First time trying the Dubai Chocolate and I was pleased with my purchase. One of the staff was very nice and actually did warn me I will love the Dubai Chocolate once I try it. She was right. read more

Have frequented this nuts and treats store because they have so many delicious treats and fresh nuts too. My favorite item purchased was the Dubai chocolate bar, it was exactly as imagined and it didn't disappoint. They also have a good selection of Turkish candies that are divinely crafted and so good. The service is nice, there's always something to sample that I hadn't from my previous visits. The space is well lit, organized and clean. Can't wait to go back and get another Dubai chocolate bar. read more

Terrible customer service! Went in about 10-15 minutes before closing. Guy kept mopping the floors pushing us out. My friend decided to make a small purchase (she already had a few pieces of candy in the bag), and as she's walking up to the register the cashier says "are you almost done, because we have to close" or something to that extent. My friend said "oh, I'm sorry, we thought you closed at 9" he said "yeah, we don't get paid for any time past 9". I said "yeah, he pushed us out with the mop,I would've bought some things" he said "yeah, next time come in earlier." WTF?! Seriously. Not to mention what we were able to see was unimpressive. Would never go back due to the service we experienced. read more

This place is an actual wonderland of bulk items. They have all the nuts, dried fruit, gummies, truffles, chocolates, coffee beans, spices, snacks, spice mixes, teas, chocolate covered everythings, chocolate bars, flours, cookies, and more. I've never seen so many kinds of brittle in my life. It's incredibly impressive that they were able to cram so many items into this store. It's also extremely brightly lit, very well laid out (with tongs and scoops and bags available everywhere you look), and the staff is down to let you try pretty much anything you'd like (don't abuse it, you jerk). They also put a lot of free samples out on the street in front, next to the inflatable nut waving his arms, and nobody is sad about free samples. Personally, I'm very pleased to have them in the neighborhood. The only downsides I see, are: 1. They are horning in on Sahadi's (the legendary staple of bulk foods in the neighborhood) territory. But that's really between them and Sahadi's. 2. Lots of things are priced by the quarter or half pound, which makes it difficult for me to determine if things are wildly expensive or not until I buy, say, the roasted barbecue almonds. 3. The roasted barbecue almonds are wildly expensive (I noted this after I bought not very many for $11), which makes me think everything may be wildly expensive, or at least a bit steeper than I'd prefer. That's probably just the cost of doing business at the corner of Smith and Atlantic, but it may keep my purchases smaller. read more

The staff is there to help if you can't decide on what to get. Came in for a little treat. I have always wanted to try baklava but most recipes include nuts I'm allergic to. Luckily enough, I scored a pistachio baklava here and it was decently tasty. The cashier was understanding to my need to NOT mix the selection and I did not have an allergic reaction afterwards. I already knew about Nuts Factory because of their Manhattan location near Flatiron, but that one was far enough from me to dissuade me from going nearly every day. Now that I live close to this location, I'm in trouble. They have such a fantastic assortment of snacks, and way more than just legumes. There's halva, Turkish delights, dates... so many different savory and sweet options. I'm convinced that no one can come here and leave empty handed. read more

I was walking down Atlantic Ave when I noticed a newly opened store that was very brightly lit within. I believe the Nut Factory is a part of a chain as there are multiple locations and they seem to offer a variety of pick and mix, including coffee, dried fruits, nuts, and various other sweets. The prices are very clearly labeled and there are plenty of scoops and tongs available. My only suggestion is that they have a separate container for new and used scoops to avoid cross-contamination. I fell in love with their mini M&M-crusted chocolate covered pretzels-- they are so delicious and indulgent. According to staff, they just opened Sunday and are open until 9pm so give them a visit! read more

Very cool store with nuts, candies (kids dream), some Turkish/Indian spices, and teas. They have samples you can try, and a machine that is roasting nuts in real time, that you can buy fresh. Some of the flavors are super wild, and the selection is pretty insane. They have good gift boxes as well that you can fill with a variety of different foods. read more

I was really excited to pick up dubai chocolate from here because I saw the poster outside, but the cashier's attitude really turned my excitement sour. How he spoke to me made me feel really offended and uncomfortable. I felt bullied. I should have read the previous reviews on Google about how the staff discriminate against certain people before coming here. Also, this $20 chocolate bar melted in my bag... it's literally the end of October. I don't understand why it sits on counter and not in a refrigerator like other places. New store in the neighborhood that sells nuts and candy in bulk. The shop is very organized and clean, they have a lot of scoops and tongs available for you to fill up the bags. The nut selection is very impressive, from raw nuts to seasoned (savory and sweet). The candy selection was a bit underwhelming as a lot of the options were repeated so it just looked like more than they had. They also have some specialty treats like varied Turkish Delight flavors and other interesting sweets, such as fresh baklava (by the checkout area). My sister and I came across this store while walking and thought it'd be a good idea to get a bag of candy. The cashier/store attendant (Indian looking lady) didn't greet us, wasn't friendly at all (very sour face) and kept following us around the store the entire time. She stood beside me and pretended to put candy in a bag just so she could monitor my sister and I. When I went to the counter to pay and flashed my Google water bottle to her signaling that I work there, she seemed less tense and more relaxed. Overall very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend shopping here if you're black. Store workers are not welcoming. read more
