I'm not really a candy guy but my gal is and we happened upon Bonbon late one afternoon after shopping in the area. So we had to check it out. They have all types of gummy style candies with a large varieties sold by the pound. From chocolates, to sweet & sours, candy bars, assorted flavored soft and hard candies. Scoop as much as you want into a bag but be aware that it can get pricey. Everything looks delish and the store is very clean. This place is actually so adorable, and the candy was good! They have a bunch of little candy bins and a clean scooper bucket for you to get a scooper from. Then you get a little pink bag (so cute) and can fill it up with whatever you like. It costs $18 a pound. Some candies are heavier than others so the amount of candy you get for that can vary, but my whole bowl shown ended up being about $11. My favorites were the hearts and the peach flavor. Bon Bons in Williamsburg is definitely smaller compared to some of the other locations I've been to, and the selection of candies isn't as big. That said, everything is still fresh, tasty, and there's enough variety to make it fun. I really appreciate how clean they keep the store. The scoops are well maintained so nothing feels contaminated, and they make sure people don't grab treats with their hands (huge plus in a self serve candy shop!). I came here to Bonbon - A Swedish candy store after going to a bar nearby with my friend. We both noticed this location from walking past it and decided to walk in as it looked very appealing. We both felt overwhelmed because of the options; I looked around the store and they have some pretty interesting drink items in their refrigerator. I believe their refrigerator has Swedish drinks. These candies are definitely unique and beautiful like their gummy hearts and their chocolate marshmallow bears. The service was great and quick. We both decided to grab a small bag of sweets to go and I ate most of my sweets on the subway ride home. The sweets I bought were all delicious and soft. Came to see what the hype was about, honestly as a person who loves candy this place was alright. I would say the Sour S patch is my favorite along with the raspberry shots, they both have a nice kick of sourness. The sweet hearts had a marshmallow bottom. I was afraid the Banana Bubs would be like a laffy taffy banana flavor but it is definitely more subtle and only half of it is banana flavored. The Swedish fish are definitely less sweet than the grocery store ones and not that sour. Could skip the sour skulls and sour colas. Some of the candies are kind of hard and tough to chew. It was my first time in a Swedish candy store but I like just about all candy especially gummy candy so it was a good fit for me. It's a self-serve setup with packaged items as well. You grab a bag, a clean scoop, and have at it! There are so many gummy candies to choose from as well as licorice and chocolates too. The staff here is super friendly - often giving samples of various candy. Last time I was here they had samples of a warmed mulled drink called God Jul Glögg which is similar to mulled wine without the alcohol and would be great for the holidays. The ladies were helpful and they let me try anything I wanted. The strawberries and cream chocolate covered licorice was bomb but out of my budget. I think a small container was almost $20. I ended up spending that amount but I got a good variety. Out of what I purchased, I enjoyed the peach Swedish fish, the pear bottle gummies and the Kex chocolate wafers. I'm on the fence about the Rambo water melon gummies. They were very sweet with the filing. I had caramel and hazelnut chocolates that I didn't care for. The sour pineapple gummies had an aftertaste and the raspberry lips were standard. They also sell the Frucht Kracher candies. After seeing bonbon all over tiktok ofc I had to stop by.... First time I went to the store located at 66 Degraw st, Brooklyn and I didn't even have to make a line to get my candy. We step in and out in about 10 min. In this location, they did had all the good ones I wanted to try. One thing I'd like to mention is that, I was expecting to spend about 60$ in candy but that didn't happen, I can say I picked pretty much all the viral ones and I ended paying around 20$ Now, about the candy somebody told me once sweedish candy it is not for everyone and I do agree but their Bubs ones are INSANE. I won't lie I was dreaming about the cotton candy one. They are so chewy and tasty, I was enjoying every bit like if I was chewing foam with flavor LOL. After non stop thinking about the Bubs (no joking) I had to come back; this time I visited the store at 130 Allen st NY where I did have to wait for around 1 hour to get my candy. This time tho I went for what I knew I liked: BUBS and nothing else LOL. I loved that this store had bunch of much other bubs flavors, sour ones and original ones. Finally, people at both stores were incredible nice, they gave me a really nice smile and made me feel like I had all day to pick my candy. First of all, I'm a big black licorice fan. Saw there was a Bon Bon in Brooklyn during a recent stay, and couldn't pass up a visit. The black licorice section is separate from the other gummy candies, featuring sweet, salty, chalk and all sorts. They also had different flavored Swedish fish, including sour Elderflower. Honorable mention for the green apple bottles. Worth dropping in if you're craving candy and looking for a cool variety. And open until midnight ! Sweden has the best candy in the world, hands down. I lived there for a summer and became seriously addicted to real Swedish fish (not that garbage they sell in the States), sour gummies, Marabou chocolate, and Japp chocolate bars. Needless to say, when I found BonBon, I nearly cried tears of joy and walked out with about $40 in candy. The first store I found was in Manhattan. Then when I discovered this Brooklyn location on a random outing one day, I knew its proximity to my apartment was going to be sweet, delicious trouble. As one might guess, I've been to this shop many times. The staff are always super nice and helpful, and the shop is adorable. It's the closest I've felt to being in that awesome chocolate shop in the original Willy Wonka movie. Candy. Everywhere. Since I went to the Manhattan location first and encountered a Swedish staff member, I assumed that would be my experience at all BonBons. However, as easy as it was to talk to a Swedish staff member about Swedish culture and candy, I've discovered the BK location usually doesn't have a Swede on site (I've only encountered one lady who effortlessly knew what I was talking about). This makes asking for specific items a little more involved if the crew isn't familiar with the language or the products. That being said, it's a niche issue and not an actual problem. The regular staff, as I said, are always so helpful and try to make recommendations based on what your tastes are (at least for the pick-and-mix candies/lösgodis). If you love sour candy, prepare yourself for the best you've ever had. Swedes are not afraid of sour, and they do it so well. Try the foamy skulls, the peach lips, EVERYTHING. Not only is the cutest and best stocked candy shop around. but it's got soo many gluten free things to choose from and is a licorice lovers dream. We checked out this location tonight and the woman working there just blew us away with her kindness and clearly cares deeply about the customer experience. She gave amazing selections and honest heads up about some we were curious about and we really appreciate that as well. Their packaging is STUNNING and it's the best spot for something special and unique, whether for a date, gift or a little something for yourself. It's a Swedish candy store owned by Swedes, and the girl working was from Malmo, Sweden, currently a student in the USA. She was so helpful and gave me recommendations and let me sample some candies as well. They have all sorts of gummies, licorice, and chocolate, including chocolate covered gummies (my favorites). They have a lot of traditional Swedish confections and are definitely higher end, but I didn't find their prices to above market even though the candy is high quality. I loved the samples I tried and am excited to really dive into the assortment I walked away with. read more

This is a cute place with candies that are either very excitingly foreign or nostalgically familiar, if you're Swedish. The staff are always charming, charismatic people. The store's clean ind interesting looking. The candy is amazing and its easy to spend 20-40 bucks. The banana flavored Bubs, and the chocolate covered gummy bears are the best candies they got. I've been here about 3 times now. I come back for the candy which I get about once every few months and on that front it does not disappoint. However I have to say the customer service is really dismal. The first time I went - there were 3 ladies working the counter. It was in the summer and I wasn't acknowledged when I walked in. I didn't even know how the system worked so I just watched someone else grab the tongs and grabbed a bag like they did. I went up to the counter they gave me a total I paid and left. There was no other talking at all. It was not very warm. Fast forward to the last 2 times I've been there and now I know how the system works. However it's the same vibe in there. Just kind of cold and indifferent. The opposite of what you would expect from a candy store. Maybe I'll try one of the other branches to see if it's different.
