Very cute and clean location on Michigan Ave! Had no idea Nutella Cafe existed so this was a great after dinner treat! We had the hot cocoa which was rich, decadent and delicious! It's really nice because you get a cute Nutella biscuit cookie on top of your drink! We shared the grilled banana bread and a croissant, of course infused with Nutella! Both were delightful! The staff were great and friendly. They were working hard to keep the dining area spotless! It was nice to see! You can get a custom jar of Nutella with your name on it. That's cool! A great gift idea. Duly noted for the future!
I had to try out the famous Nutella cafe. Since it's the only one in the whole wide world it was like a no brainer. We walked there and it was really empty. We ordered the crepe with bananas. The flavor and taste was just like it's suppose to be Nutella and banana. You first start by choosing your base of crepe, waffle or pancake. And then each topping you add will be an additional cost. For a banana crepe it was about $12. Which is not bad. But compared to genki in San Francisco I feel like with that price it came with ice cream and fruits.
Super fun and a must-stop if you're a nutella fan!! Walking distance from The Bean and right on the Riverwalk. If anything, go for the hot chocolate (tastes like liquid Nutella its amazing) and the mixed fruits w Nutella as well! It gets a bit busy so keep an eye our for people leaving their tables (theres 2 sections) and grab a seat! It has a very Times Square cafe feel when you're in it. Would definitely go again!
My friends and I stopped here on a cold December evening as we were walking back to our hotel from Millennium Park. It was nice to be able to warm up for a few minutes. We ordered the Nutella Banana Bread and the Nutella Fruit Bowl along with some hot chocolate. It was all excellent. If you are looking for a little sweet fix at night, this is a great option.
Very cool cafe! Line could get long, but it does go by pretty quickly. we waited for about 15 minutes before getting seated by the host. We ordered the Nutella Gelato and Liege Waffle. They were super sweet but really delicious. I think this cafe was more for the experience than really trying out the food. The food wasn't anything surprising as they are somewhat simple dishes. Overall, the experience was still very pleasant but I don't see this as a reoccurring cafe to go to when you're in Chicago.
I wanted to try this place mostly out of curiosity. It definitely felt more like a tourist trap. There was a really long line to get in and order, and the inside was super crowded, and we were lucky to be able to find a seat. Overall, it was alright and nothing particularly exceptional. A lot of the menu felt like things you could make at home with a jar of Nutella and some basic ingredients. We got the Nutella waffle with bananas and blackberries, and it honestly just tasted like a normal waffle with fruit and a drizzle of Nutella. The Nutella hot chocolate was okay too - basically a standard hot chocolate with some Nutella mixed in. The standout for me was the Nutella gelato. It was actually shockingly good. The Nutella flavor was much stronger and more pronounced, and it felt more unique compared to everything else we tried. Might be a cool place if you're from out of town, but I probably wouldn't make a special trip for it.
In Chicago I knew I had to try the Nutella cafe, we got up super early to go and try it out, the line got long but we were first in line, we first get it staff was nice and let us in, we started ordering. I order a Nutella crepe with strawberries and since it was cold I also got a hot chocolate and let me tell you it was delicious the food was to die for, it was worth the waiting in the cold, the place was super clean and I loved that they brought everything to you and once finished they would pick it up for you as well, it was very calm, I believe if had 2 floors which we didn't get to see but I loved the place and think it's a very cute spot to visit.
There seems to aaaalways be a line outside, and it always seems like it barely moves. Then you're finally beckoned inside, and there's another line that barely moves. Some of that is because customers sit down and hang out at tables for a while, but some of that seems to be the painstakingly slow ordering mechanism. There's one cashier for taking orders and making the customized Nutella sticker, which requires confirmation of the lettering and printing out the sticker. I didn't have super high expectations for the Nutella crepe, but I was pleasantly surprised. The toppings all incur an additional charge, and we opted for strawberries, Nutella whipped cream, and Nutella gelato. The crepe itself was nicely thin and elastic, quite well cooked. The strawberries were ripe and sweet, and though I wish there were more, the quality was quite nice. The Nutella gelato was super thick and creamy, and it was really a punch of Nutella flavor. The Nutella whipped cream was much lighter in comparison, but still tasted nicely of Nutella that thickened the whipped cream a bit. And of course, the Nutella sauce and drizzle completed the Nutella overload, lending waves of hazelnut and chocolate to every bite. Definitely a decadent treat I'd come back for, though the wait time is a serious deterrent.
Where do we start? The line is mismanaged as all hell, you have people waiting for an indeterminate amount of time outside with no update as to when people will be allowed in. They have room inside, but won't let people in over what I'm assuming is an attempt to keep the indoors less crowded. Once you're finally in you realize how much the place is in disarray, more specifically the spacing of things inside. It is obviously gimmicky, in a way that's more disappointing than fun. The menu is super small, Nutella focused of course, but there's not really anything interesting on it. The workers look like they would rather be tortured than working there. Anyways, we ordered the Nutella crepe with strawberries and an Iced Nutella Mocha Latte. Crepe? Sucked. Latte? Sucked more than the crepe. The crepe was doughy to the point it didn't feel properly cooked. Coming from an avid mutella crepe connoisseur, it was disappointing that THE Nutella Cafe flopped in comparison to any other crepe place. The latte was like drinking tar that came out of a pipe a mile away from a Nutella factory. Skip this place, it is so obviously a poor cash grab capitalizing on European tourism to Chicago.
I was excited to try this place because who doesn't love Nutella? But I dont think they delivered.. walked in and there was no line so when i ordered, the girl taking my ordered moved very slow and didnt really have costumer service skills.. she spoke like she really didn't want to be there. It was really cute inside but also very small with not a lot of seating for a popular touristy location. I ordered a waffle with Nutella and it didnt have much Nutella on it so I asked for extra and Nutella whipped cream. I also ordered an ice Nutella cocoa. The waffle was good but i did feel i over did it on the Nutella. And I also felt like maybe the Nutella wasn't that great of quality, like it was almost watered down in flavor.. the nutella whipped cream was also a let down, not much Nutella in it. Ans the Nutella cocoa was just milk, not a hint of Nutella in the flavor. I also ordered a jar of Nutella with my name, that was honestly so cute and the best thing I got there! Overall, its over hyped.. nothing really special.. save your time and money and enjoy your Nutella at home.
As a Nutella lover who's been wanting to visit the Nutella Cafe for over two years now - I wanted to love this spot. Instead it's more of a one and done tourist trap to me. After standing in line late on a Monday morning (which I wasn't expecting a long line on a weekday) for over an hour my friends and I finally were ushered inside the cafe (which wasn't even crazy crowded inside so i dont understand the line) only to wait in line yet again for about another 10 minutes before making it to the counter to place our orders. I went with the nutella crepe, topped with nutella gelato as well as the nutella croissant french toast with nutella whipped cream. (so basically dessert for breakfast) We opted to sit outside in the underutilized patio dining area in front of the cafe. There were some mix-ups with our orders when they were coming out but it was quickly rectified. The food was all tasty but nothing worth waiting in line over an hour for. The crepe was good but kinda greasy and the croissant french toast while not bad was definitely an interesting kind of different. All in all - if you love Nutella....you gotta check it out. But temper your expectations and expect a line!

If you love Nutella, this is the place to go! The line was quite long and we struggled to find seating but once we got settled and food the came out it was very nice. You can sit and watch the food being made which is a fun experience and all of the food seemed very fresh and fun for Nutella lovers with seemingly ample options for those who don't like sweets as well. This is such a cute cafe downtown Chicago. We randomly found this while ok a walk and decided to check out their menu. They have everything with Nutella! We got their gourmet Nutella espresso shots that were just heaven! Whipped cream, coffee and Nutella. The perfect combo you didn't know you needed. Ordering is easy at the counter, if you're dining in they give you a table number and they'll bring your order to your table. You can also get personalized Nutella jars. However if you're travelling, you'll need to check those in. read more

Always super busy! Tried the Nutella shake, it's the perfect amount of shake + Nutella for a cold treat! Also tried the chocolate covered strawberries which are amazing as always. They have so many options between getting your own personalized label Nutella jar to pastries, drinks, and treats. Recommend visiting but do expect a wait because it is super popular. Staff works very quickly to bring food to you and are always kind. read more

The line can get long, but it's worth the wait to eat at Nutella Cafe. If you enjoy their jar of Nutella, you'll be able to get a jar with your name on it. I ordered a classic crepe with bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream, and it was great. The restaurant was full of people and I worried about not being able to find a seat, but a few people left a table and I quickly grabbed a seat and waited. It's a crowded, touristy place. You can take a selfie in front of a giant jar. read more

The food was pretty good and surprisingly affordable with a wide spread of variety to choose from and was a great experience! When I got there, there was a massive line out side but decided to wait because it's the only Nutella Cafe in the world. The line went kinda fast and took about 15-20 mins to get in. The service was good with a few cranky staff but other than that, it was ok. The interior was really nice and clean but was really loud and crowded and took FOREVER to find seating to eat. It was a good experience and I would probably go back again with my friends and family. read more
This is a very very busy and popular attraction. Every time we seen, there was a really long line waiting to get inside. It's a fairly big place with a lot of seating, I'm not sure why they form such a long line outside. The line seemed to move at a slower pace too. Again, just another place to visit because it's cool to take in and I think this is the only one in the country and maybe on the globe. They do sell personalized bottles of Nutella, but when we went they were out. Said they can still print out a label for you though for like $3. My girl got the crepe, with strawberries and stuff and it was good. We just sat and talked but with how busy it is and the amount of people waiting to get in you can't help but kind of rush for that. Went to Nutella cafe for breakfast and ordered the Nutella crepe with bananas, strawberries and whipped cream. Super delicious and savory. I'd recommend splitting something with someone because the items are very rich. More of a dessert option compared to breakfast. The store itself is very fun and clean. read more

-gelato was so incredibly sweet -there was a wait outside but they purposely held people outside to make themselves look busy -they refused to give out cups of ice even though the drinks weren't cold -worth skipping if you're in town there are a ton of better dessert places read more
Popped into Nutella Cafe for a mid day treat. The line was pretty long but moves quickly. Got the Iced Nutella Cocoa (4.5/5) which was creamy, chocolatey, and indulgent! A must-try for Nutella lovers! They also gave us a Nutella cookies which was delicious. They have a pretty expansive menu and lots of seating so a great spot for dessert lovers. read more
Ummm, so this is the house of Nutella, nothing more needs to be said. The only downside is that's it's a bit on the pricey side, but considering it's a one of a kind, I'm here for it. Crepe with bananas and Nutella is a classic that blends my favorite things. A must visit if you can handle this much sugar. read more
If you like Nutella this is your place, we ordered a Nutella creppe with banana and strawberries and it was good, we also ordered the premium espresso with Nutella and it was a little too much for me, but the presentation was really nice! The place is one of Chicago iconic places, so it's always gonna be crowded, so be aware, service was pretty average. They also offer personalized Nutella jars which was pretty cool, they have a lot of personal but the place felt a little bit unorganized, hope they can make something to fix that. read more

Get here earlier in the morning on the weekend to avoid long lines! Everything was satisfactory, including the hot chocolate (not usually a fan of hot chocolate). Seating inside was limited so we had to wait a couple minutes for a table to leave after getting our food, but once we were seated it was cozy and not too loud. read more
While on a business trip in Chicago, I stumbled upon the Nutella Cafe near "The Bean". This place served various Nutella Entries, desserts, drinks and merchandise. You can even personalize a 13 oz small jar of Nutella as a gift. I do have to caution that if you are traveling through the airport, make sure that the small Nutella jar is in a checked in luggage and not in your carry-on luggage as it will be confiscated by TSA. I ordered the Nutella Gelato Push-Ups, Nutella Biscuits, Chia Hemp Seed Pudding, and a Nutella Keychain as a souvenir. What can I say, everything tastes good with Nutella! :) Service was fast and wasn't a long wait at all. The Nutella Cafe should be called Nutella Heaven! You just need to look around the store and see the Nutella branding everywhere. If you are a Nutella fanatic, this place is definite must for you! Can't leave Chicago without stopping by. read more

I really really want to give this a higher rating, because I have such a sweet tooth, and will go to extreme lengths to satisfy it, including walking over a mile from my hotel and waiting in a 45+ min line, which is exactly what I did to finally experience this spot! I have been to Chicago several times now and wanting to come here but every time, it's been so busy, lines 2-3 blocks or longer. But I committed to crossing this off the list on this trip and walked over on a Friday around lunch time (I definitely should have gone off peak but it just didn't work out with my schedule- I can only imagine the wait on a weekend though...) I'm glad it wasn't super cold out and that I had a book to entertain myself while I waited! Honestly, the line did move a lot faster than expected, so I was probably outside for 40ish mins and then inside another 10-15 before placing my order. I knew I probably wouldn't be back again any time soon, so I went with a nutella overload- crepe with banana/strawaberry slices, nutella whipped cream, nutella gelato and an espresso nutella shot (with a nutella biscuit). After palcing my order, I was given a table marker and found a small two-top where I waited maybe 10 miins or so for my plate to come out. Like I said, I am a sucker for sweets, and I did enjoy my dish- the espresso shot washed it down nicely. But value wise (both time and money), I would say it wasn't worth it. I very happy I can cross it off the list, but I'm not sure I would ever wait nearly an hour again for a very overpriced dessert/snack. I think the other thing that was a bit missing for me was just the lack of personal touch/interaction here - it is, and feels, very gimmicky, but I thin that can still be done in a hospitable, more personalizing or welcoming way! read more

Nutella cafe is a cute cafe with plenty of seating near Millenium Park that sells all things Nutella. However I have to admit, their fresh selection of food and drinks aren't anything you couldn't make yourself at home with nutella. It's a nice option for the area and since it's open relatively late, especially for the colder months when you want something warm/have a bunch of kids. However I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it or waiting in line for it, not even for tourists. read more

After lunch at Nando's upstairs, we popped down to check out the only Nutella Cafe we'd ever heard of. They had a lovely variety of options but we decided on a simple Nutella and banana crepe. The banana was a little underripe for my taste but not inedible. It's a tiny, cramped place with little seating, so we did feel like we needed to move out as soon as we were done eating. Our daughter is a big Nutella fan and so we did pick up a personalized jar with her name on it that they customized right on the spot. Not sure we'd go out of our way to return but it was a fun treat. read more

Major tourist trap, but walking by and my 14 yr old immediately got excited about the prospect of everything Nutella. I ordered a Mocha Nutella Iced Latte. Very bottom tier latte. I didn't even taste the Nutella unless I scraped the side of my cup and the coffee was mid. It was really just okay. I did try her waffle with Nutella whipped cream and liked the bites that I had. It was an improvement from my latte for sure. Unless you're a huge Nutella fan or just love the novelty of it, I'd personally skip. read more

The Nutella cafe was amazing!!! I really enjoyed it! The crepe was Nutella and berries was divine. The espresso with Nutella and chopped hazelnuts with delicious experience. The grilled banana bread with Nutella also so good. A must try when visiting Chicago. read more

Truth be told, I didn't know this place existed until I landed in Chicago that same morning. I had plans to get breakfast elsewhere, until my friends told me that I "just had to check this place out". The moment I walked in, I was already mesmerized by the smell of crepes and Nutella, not to mention it was super cute inside. They have this selfie section for you take a pic with the giant Nutella Jar, and they offer personalized Nutella Jars for purchase which I thought was cool. I ordered the Crepe with Banana Slices and gelato. Although I knew I'd be full, I was feeling a little greedy per usual and also ordered the Nutella Espresso Gourmet. As I was devouring the crepe, I kept saying to myself "this has no business being this good" because I mean it was just so good, I was on a food-high from it. BTW: The Espresso Gourmet comes with a biscuit with warm Nutella inside...need I say more? This was a cool spot to check out, especially with it being my first time in Chicago. read more
This place was such a treat for me to visit. That had such of variety of things to try and not to mention the personalized nutella jars you can get as a gift. I got 2 for my kids which they were excited to see their own names on their jars of nutella. Staff were super friendly and answered my questions. When I entered it was super busy but the staff knew how to handle the "rush" the place was nice and clean and such fun nutella decorations and if they were flustered they definitely hid it well. I bought for myself some of their cookies filled with nutella that I munched on as I explored the city and they were delicious. read more

I have always loved Nutella since I was young, so a Nutella cafe is like a dream come true. Walking in there are already so many options to choose from and you see all the models of different things you can get. I ordered the Nutella crepe and the Creme brûlée and I loved it. The only reason why it was not 5 stars is because sadly it was kind of cold. Sort of disappointed but either way, really cool place. read more
Let me preface by saying, you WILL be waiting to get in to the cafe. In my experience we have been able to walk in with no wait one time. Every other occasion we have visited has required anywhere from a 20 minute to hour wait. The staff do move as quickly as they can, and I appreciate the fact that they do not make guests feel rushed when they are inside. There is plenty of seating and the atmosphere is clean and bright. We personally come here solely for the Nutella gelato. It is a must any time we visit Chicago. The cafe does offer a wide range of foods and well as personalized jars of Nutella. read more
I was so excited when I found out there's a Nutella Cafe in Chicago! There was a long line when we went, and there's a worker controlling how many people are allowed inside. There was some merch inside, including cups and personalized Nutella jars. There's also a photo station with a huge Nutella jar. There wasn't that much seating inside, but it's enough for the pace the line moves at. There was also seating outside, but it's right on the sidewalk with a lot of people walking by. They definitely could have been more efficient, but I guess people are willing to wait. I got the grilled banana bread. I've only had warmed banana bread, but it being grilled was such a nice touch. The Nutella hot cocoa was cocoa and didn't have much Nutella flavor. It came with a Nutella cookie that was good, but I'm pretty sure you can buy these at the grocery store. I'm glad I got to experience this place! I probably wouldn't come back again if there's a long wait but definitely good to try once! read more

Hi. No there no reservations, you B have to make a line if there's a lot of people the line starts on the street until there's capacity, but the line moves pretty fast!

Yes, there are now gifts inside. Coffee mugs, tumblers, tiny jars of Nutella, thumb drives made to look like tiny jars of Nutella, large tins shaped like a Nutella jar with spreading accessories inside, custom jar labels, etc.
