Without any provocation, this individual verbally assaulted me and then attempted to ram my vehicle. The situation escalated further when he deliberately positioned his tow truck in front of my car, using it to intimidate and threaten me. He proceeded to move the tow platform toward my vehicle in a manner that strongly suggested an intent to strike it. The entire encounter was alarming and left me shaken. At no point was his behavior justified or appropriate. I remain uncertain as to his exact intentions, whether he intended to damage my vehicle, force entry, or otherwise harm me, but his actions were aggressive, erratic, and posed a clear safety risk. This incident occurred in the CVS parking lot located at 375 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck. Conduct of this nature is completely unacceptable, particularly from someone entrusted with operating a large commercial vehicle on public streets. I urge you to take this matter seriously and investigate it promptly. No one should have to experience this level of intimidation or danger.

They were great about responding, showing up in under an hour, and towing our van directly to the work site which was approx. a 45 minute tow. That is when the experience went sour. The driver demanded payment of $1,500. CASH. He would not unhook the van until paid. After we haggled and argued for 20-30 minutes, one push of the "dial" away from calling 911, he agreed to drop the fee to $1,000 CASH. We had NO choice as it was night time, we were now late to start the job, and had two of our contractors waiting for the van and it's belongings. We paid $500. cash, and one of the contractors had to Venmo the other $500. WE BASICALLY GOT ROBBED! Only reason we didnt call the police is that it was our mistake for not asking how much the tow would cost ahead of time. So, this guy just saw our desperation and completely took advantage of the situation. NOT sure that Adams Towing even knows about this? Tow truck driver may have even been the owner, not sure... Hopefully NOT! As this was disgraceful. He heard i'd waited two hours for last 5 Star Auto that was dispatched and also their diagnosis. They blamed their failure to jump start my car on a bad alternator and left. His first concern was whether I was aware a tow to Madison NJ from Hackensack would cost me $170. I said I did - but then expressed concern I pay that ...and said first thing they'd do was sent Pete who was mechanically inclined to try jumping it. Pete cane and in a heartbeat jump my old poor man's Honda to life. And he was a live wire, crackling with a love of life intensity that had descended over time from his Sicilian bloodline. We chatted as it charged and when he left, he demurred a tip. We even laughed we were politically different but not where it matters most: hard work, honesty and helping our fellow men (and women!) He also quickly explained why the other prior drip failed to jump my car to life. That guy bragged he'd been charging dead batteries all day with his charger. Pete explained the obvious: that was why his charger didn't work! GRATZI MILKE BROOKSIDE! These guys could have just towed me 34 miles without ever questioning the priory inept assessment. They could have money on the two. But they didn't. Their first instinct was more akin to one you'd have for family or friends.
