If there was a 0 star review option, that's what I would put for this place! Me and my friend went here yesterday and we're very disappointed. We got acrylics. 1. I didn't want acrylics. I just wanted to get my nails painted with gel polish but they said my nails were too short to paint without adding some length to them. So I wasn't thinking and said ok. 2. The man there was rude and kinda nosey. He asked what shape I wanted and I said oval. I'm not sure if he was joking or not but he asked me to draw it for him. I had no paper to draw it so I told him I can show you a picture of it and he kept insisting I should just draw it. When I told him here I'll just show you a picture. He acted like a 5 year old and banged his hands on the desk and threw a tantrum. He yelled "NO I WANT YOU TO DRAW IT!" I got anxious and was about to just leave but didn't. He started to shape one of my nails and then he asked if this was how I wanted it and when I said yes he got up and went to start on another persons nails. 30 minutes later he came back to me and did the rest and he complained the entire time while shaping them. My hands kept tensing up because of how much pressure he was putting on my fingers. When he was shaping them it kept hurting me. He kept telling me to relax and in my head I'm thinking "how the heck am I supposed to relax when your hurting me the entire time."(he complained the entire time while doing my friends nails also. Saying the design she wanted was too hard to do when really it wasn't and she asked if they could do it they could have told her no and she had something else in mind) 3. Their desks were very messy and they are not organized what so ever. I'm not sure how they got into this business. They are so unprofessional! NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN! Will not be recommending this place to anyone! read more

Alex and Michelle made me feel like a queen. I came in to get nails done for a wedding. Alex took great care of me and suggested I get gel nails put on to give my shirt nails some length. I went for a basic pedicure. They told me I need a callus treatment. I said ok. They also asked to do my eyebrows but I declined. My husband also got a pedicure at the same time. They massaged his feet and used hot towels. I feel we were over charged for the services we received. My toe nails were not shaped and polish was sloppy. We will not return. read more

When my 17-year-old daughter and I first got to the salon we were happy but surprised that there was only one other customer. They greeted us and made us feel welcome. My daughter was giving a fill from a set she got from another salon and I was getting a new set. The very nice lady started with my nails but then Alex finished them. At first I felt he was friendly but then he kept scolding me for being too tense and then blamed me for holding my hand wrong and making the gel slide. So then I tried to hold my fingers straight and he kept scolding me to relax and quit being so tense. But it seemed no matter how I held my fingers it wasn't right. And that was making me more tense! He told me that I needed to chill out and take a chill pill and why was I so tense? I wasn't about to tell him my life problems, it's none of his business. When he was done with my nails he went to do the artwork on my daughters nails. The first thing he told her was to not be like her mom. My daughter and I are very close and this statement made her very upset. He kept saying your mom is too tense, She needs to take a chill pill. I have been to quite a few salons and I have never had anyone make me feel so uncomfortable and like I am such a burden while getting my nails done. There was a lot of the liquid left on my fingers that we had to peel off. Our nails are thick and bubbly. My daughter took hers off in a couple of days. I told them since I am in the medical field I need is my nails to be on the shorter side. After they were clipped they said that I could have them shortened if I needed to but they never asked me if the length was OK so I left with nails that were too long. I could've said some thing but I was so stressed from the constant scolding. I was just anxious to get out of there. I was disappointed because when we walked in it seemed like it was going to be a great place but we both left disappointed and upset. We will not be back and do not recommend. read more

It's been awhile since I was there. But dude was rude. He asked me how many kids I had, I told him none, he asked me about why I didn't have kids. I told him I didn't care to discuss it and he said some other things on the topic before dropping it. My husband was there. Dude asked him how tall he was. My husband answered (6'7"), and dude just kept shaking his head saying that we weren't telling the truth and that no way was my husband is that tall. He tried up-selling by insulting me. "You want me to clean up your eyebrows?" No, I don't. "You said you're going to a wedding? I can't help you and fix those eyebrows?" There was a man and a woman working there. We said we preferred the woman to do my toes, and the man to do my husband's. I am more comfortable with women. When he finished my husband's pedicure, he told the woman doing mine to leave so he could finish with me. I said I'd prefer for her to finish my pedicure; but he just sat down and started painting my toes anyhow. I did not object a second time; my patience was wearing thin. Really odd experience. read more

This is the first time I've ever yelped AT the place I was yelping. And let me tell you, this place is awesome. They poured me some reserve Syrah as they did my feet. Lavender everthing. +1. Worst experience ever! My appointment was @ 4:00pm for a mani & pedi , I left the shop @ 7:40pm. They had appt. coming in and would work on them while I sat there. There are only 2 people that work the with 1 assistant. However, they book as if it is a full service Salon & Spa. It was a complete joke!!! If you choose to go there plan on spending at least 3-4 hrs. For a regular manicure and pedicure . Also I paid for a deluxe pedi and received a good old standard pedicure. read more

There are a couple of things that lead to a one star review (would be no star if that were an option). First, the work. I went in to get a new acrylic set. I had to soak my old set off and was soaking longer than it took for the woman next to me to get her entire manicure. When Alex finally started on my nails, he was very rough! It's the next day and my fingers/nails still hurt. He went to put the new tips on and when I was a little indecisive on my length, he started acting like I was the worst customer in the world. I felt bullied into accepting the length. He slapped the acrylic on my nails very carelessly. And when i asked for coffin shaped nails, he gave my wonky crooked nails. I still have acrylic on my skin and spilling over the the sides of my nails. My actual nail is pulled away from the tip underneath which can lead to infection. I went back in today to show him that they were so poorly done and asked for a refund. He straight up told me no. I am amazed at the lack of integrity. He offered to "fix" them for me but I would have to get a whole new set to fix the amount of problems. Do not go here unless you want to be bullied into a bad set and sit through a very painful manicure. Also, you can see how dry my skin is from soaking for so long. read more

2.5 Stars. Granted they were personable for the most part.. I won't be returning because the minute I got home my thumb nail broke at the tip. Wasn't expecting that. Only reason I went here was because my nail salon is closed on Tuesday's.. I read the Yelp ratings and decided to give it a shot. No Bueno. **Note to self: never break a nail on a Tuesday.** Didn't mind waiting a bit cause they were busy. There was regulars there which hopefully they got a better manicure than I did. Waited in the middle of my nails being done which I thought was kind of weird while they switch spots and work on the regulars and then finish me. I didn't like the paint job on my nails. On my cuticles, also had residue left over from the gel powder HARDENED on the side of my two thumb nails.Believe me, I noticed it, thought he would fix it but maybe he over looked it or saw it and didn't care. I didn't like how he painted my thumbs first then the rest of my fingers.. Just paint one hand at a time. -_____- The lady that shaped my nails also didn't ask if they wanted them shorter (they were really long and one broke BEFORE hence why I was in there in the first place) but regardless she was very nice and we had a nice convo. "Oh do you need some lotion" *looks down at what appears to be dry skin going down my fingers. "Oh no, that's the residue from the nail salon I just went too. Paid 38 bucks plus a 5 dollar tip which I tip regardless, but I won't be returning. **I went to my nail salon today and she commented on how the acrylic was "uneven" and "missing" in some spots. She cut my nails and re-did them & they turned out amazing!!** read more

This is the rest from my first posting. It's so long I had to break it up. Alex then returned to the salon at 12:35 with food and joined the lady in the room and they ate lunch for about 15 minutes before he came out and checked my nails. I lifted them as he was removing the towel so he would think they had still been soaking. He put my hands back in the acetone and went back in the other room with her for 5 more minutes eating some more. I looked at my nails and instead of them being long and shaped square at the tips like they were. They were short and chewed up looking from all that soaking. Alex proceeded to use the dremel on my nails, making them hurt as he went over them and he went over my right ring finger too much. It made my finger red, sore and really damaged. It was so red from all the filing on it, that it looked dark pink and the rest were all medium pink when he was finished putting acrylic on. Then he started putting the pink and white acrylics on my nails. He put pink on three fingers, then went back and with a metal tool scraped the pink off the tip in a moon shape at the tips so he could put the white on. He pushed down so hard to scrape the pink off that had started to dry, that the metal tool was really hurting my nails. If he had done only two nails at a time, the pink wouldn't have started to dry as much as it did and the tool wouldn't have hurt my nails and fingers. I mentioned that to him and he said that it doesn't dry that fast. But it does and it did. He kept telling me to relax and loosen my fingers. I told him I was afraid he was going to hurt me which he said he wouldn't do that. But he was hurting me throughout the entire time. When he started putting the white on at the tips, I told him that I wanted them thin at the tip. And he said they would be, but they weren't. I couldn't believe how thick they were when he was done. And he had used the dremel and file on top and underneath my nails. When he asked me how they looked I told him nice and left. I didn't want to tell him they were too thick and have him file anymore on them since he was so rough. Not to mention I was sitting at his table at 11:45am and didn't leave until 1:45pm. Which my husband said he thought it would only be an hour. That's what he said I repeated. With all the time it took I could have had a complete set and pedicure too and still left before 1:45 at any other salon. I agree with Meghan B., and don't know what the deal is with these other reviews that read how good he is with 5stars, but I would repeat it too NEVER go here. I certainly won't again. Today is 7/31/18 and I went for a fill at Paso Nails and Salon before leaving Paso tomorrow, and the owner Andy did my fills like before. He listened to how I wanted them, fixed the only two that were lifting, but most importantly didn't hurt me once. In all the reviews that had negative comments, Alex would respond with a negative reply about the reviewer, making it some how that persons fault. Instead of listening and learning from his mistakes, and apologizing. So if he does it here too I won't be surprised. read more

I'm a man writing this review from a guy's perspective. I have one toenail that requires special attention and I have been shopping for a salon that can take care of my needs for a long time. I am extremely careful when I choose a nail salon. I look for the best sterilization possible. When I fist found Alex and Michelle I asked they show me their sterilization methods. They always use disposable instruments and what can't be disposable is run through medical grade sterilization which makes all the difference to me. Alex always performs my pedi because of the care he takes as well as how he teaches me to properly care for my toe nail. I feel the difference between this salon and most others I have found is they run their instruments first through an ultrasonic cleaner and then through a hospital grade high temp sterilizer (I always ask). So much is involved in a good pedicure including the sterilization... read more

First of all if you're running a business you should be there during your open hours not show up 45 minutes late. Secondly you should make sure that the nails are smooth and not ragged before putting on polish. Also you should give change to the customer when they give you more than the amount that is do you allow the customer to determine what your tip should be. And lastly you shouldn't talk about your personal financial situation with your patrons it's very unseemly. read more

I love Alex!! He is the best and the nicest. I went to a cheap place last week because it was a Sunday and they were closed, and the gel there was horrible and started peeling off instantly. It totally ruined my nails. I had a thirty minute window of time so I went in to see alex and told him I was in a rush but needed him to help fix my nails and of course he did. Their gel is the only gel I've ever gotten that actually stays on for two weeks. Their prices are great and they're so nice. Thank you! read more

The only reason we've tried these guys is because of the kids chairs. Both times we've booked in advance but they overbook themselves. We had a party of four but they had seven customers with two people Working. BOTH visits they make us wait a long time with our feet in the water, this time was a 40-minute wait with our feet in the water. My friend said they didn't even clip or clean her cuticles. Go somewhere else. This place needs to get with it and hire more trained people for the adults. The chairs are cool for the kids, comes with cookies and a movie. For that an extra star. read more

I was a walk in and only waited a few minutes to be seated for a pedicure. The pedicure was basic and rushed. They were busy with only 2 people working. They seemed to handle it but left customers to start on others. The polish was great but I can not say this about the clear coat. It appears old as it smudged really bad. read more

Enjoyed getting a pedicure here. They aim to be very sanitary and use new tools on you every time. There is always a good movie playing while I'm there which is nice. Occasionally when I've been there they offer a glass of wine but its only if they have something good on hand. There are times when they're busy but it's because they're one of the better nail shops in Paso. If I see that they're busy I'll leave because I don't enjoy waiting. Overall, good nail salon. Friendly owners that aim to be good at what they do. read more
