I made an appointment for two pedicures, and one manicure upon arriving. It was severely crowded, and understaffed. My two friends that had pedicures were finished at least 30 minutes before my manicure even started the person who did my manicure which I got cat eyes they don't look like cat eyes left thick glue globs beneath every single nail so the glue is actually also attached to my skin. I just had my nails done on Saturday. It is Monday and already the fingernail polish is starting to come off. I left a $30 tip which was 20% of the pedicure and manicure bill that I paid for and waxing on my eyebrows. I would never go here again. The nail technician didn't converse or barely look at me. One told me she didn't even know how to do gel manicures. I won't be returning. read more

I went in today to get a pedicure and I asked that no nail polish should be used. The place only had one or two other guests so that made it nice and quiet. The place looked clean. In addition, I felt that the gentleman who worked on my feet did not do a very good job going he didn't seem to want to put much effort into it. I did pay an additional $8 for the callus remover and felt that it wasn't really worth that amount of money, For he only worked on my hills and no other part of my feet. The thing that made me determine not to ever go back, was on my baby toenail. There was some leftover nail polish on it. I assume he was taking it off when he was working on my feet because I was reading information on my phone and did not pay close enough attention or put on my glasses to take notice. He never took it off?? I previouslyquite a while back ,had a great gal there by the name of jewelee( sp?) she did a fantastic job. I will not be going back there or trying them again. This was my first visit to Top Nails and Spa. I have been using another spa for years, which unfortunately, has been declining, and am looking for a new place to land. First impressions were positive. The place is clean, and the equipment is attractive, clean, and in working order. I knew one of the technicians from another location, and she was friendly and inviting. None of the other staff were very engaging to me or others as they arrived while I was there. If I were looking for a warm, friendly, inviting place, I wouldn't return. Because the technician I knew IS friendly and gives great pedicures, I probably will go back. And, I'm fine with reading a book and don't need to be entertained during a pedicure, so this may turn into my new spot. read more

I was passing thru and needed a fill on my nails and an express pedicure to switch colors. Helen did my nails and was fast, gentle and obviously really skilled. This place is super clean and obviously there are many return customers that everyone knows their name. I was a walk in and after using their spotless restroom they got me in. In the meantime a gal came in with the same time slot, and couldn't get hers done at her scheduled time either. So basically, they had time to do one of us & let me sit there waiting. I've been meaning to write this review for almost a month now. I am a licensed manicurist and worked in a salon for 14 years and recently have found myself living in Paso Robles due to my husbands job. It was my daughter's 18th birthday and she wanted to go get a pedicure. I normally would not go in a salon of this nature but it was what my daughter wanted. As I arrived I told the man I did not want my toe nails cut as I already did them before I came. He carried on and shortly after started to dig into the sides of my big toe nails as if I had ingrown toe nails. (I have never suffered from this in my life). As a licensed nail tech that has done more pedicures than I care to know I started to pull my feet away and he said oh no it feel better. I did this a few times and he kept doing it and I just suffered through thinking maybe he's cutting some cuticle in there and it'll be sore for the day and go away plus I was there for my daughter and just wanted to get through it. As we left we went shopping and my toes were on fire!!! I could barely walk the pain was horrible. This went on for 4 days till I dug out my own ingrown toe nail tool I have stored away on my own supplies. All I did was file with my tool the rough edges he left that were causing so much pain! Instantly the pain was gone. As I am writing this the reason that made me finally log into my yelp and complain is because here I am about a month out and my toes nail are growing out as everyone's would, and I've had on and off pain for a few days as if I have ingrown toe nails now. I can't explain the amount of anger I have having to deal with this. As a nail tech I ALWAYS asked my clients do these bother you before I would cut into anything on the sides. I would only cut if they complained of ingrown toe nails! I have no idea why people choose to go to these places that lack communication if you know what I mean. Oh and what kind of massage is that? It's like the fastest quickie and not an enjoyable one! I paid extra to have a "deluxe" was done in 40 minutes and my feet hurt (the throbbing kept me up for nights) and did not have one relaxing second! Also knowing the rules and regulations you are suppose to soak for a minimum of 10 minutes before your pedicure starts it was more like a dip and start, also I don't even wanna know if the implements were sanitized or not. He took his stuff to the sink after he finished me and went straight to the next client! How did the implements get sanitized in Barbicide before starting her????? I can honestly say this was a horrible experience and I won't ever step foot in one again. Waist of money! read more

Terrible experience. Went there to meet a friend for a pedi. My friend was late and I got lectured in front of everyone that they had a schedule blah blah. I got a 5 minute massage and then she was putting on polish. She got terribly offended when I asked about my massage. Went in for a fill on my hard gel but I had to wait 15 minutes when I had an appointment. They definitely over book here because there were several people waiting when they had an appointment. I was told I needed to remove it because my nails had lifted so she started removing them but it seemed like she was in a rush and didn't fully remove what was on my nails before she redid them. So my nails just ended up breaking after like 4 days and you could see the product from the previous set that wasn't removed correctly. read more

Loved my first visit to Top Nails. It's clean and the staff are friendly. Hue perfectly applied dip Powder to my natural nails, with very little filing needed. I also didn't have to pick off all that extra product under my nails as she is that good. Tom did my Volcano pedicure with a 20 minute massage. He is also very good at what he does. I've been to Top Nails 3 times now and so far, so good. They have been quite accommodating with last minute appointments. The gentlemen who has done my pedicure every time is gentle and considerate. Kelly is great at acrylic nails. The prices are a little above average, but the quality of their work is a bit better than what I've experienced at other places in town. The staff all wear masks but the customers are inconsistent (a lot of older "entitled"women don't wear them, I think it's a Paso thing). What is the point of making an appointment when you arrive on time and are made to wait 30-40 minutes? It is so frustrating when you plan on something and do your due diligence to make it work only to have to walk out because they have made you wait for 30-40 minutes. There were 5 other ladies in there waiting for their appointments well past their appointment time. I'm from out of town so I called around for pricing. This location was the closest to my hotel and had avg pricing. However,they quoted my niece $38 for full set (regular polish) and upon paying I was charged $45. I will say the Pedicure was $30 and overall a nice experience. They scrub your heels/feet, do hot rock on calfs/feet and a scrub/lotion as part of the $30 package (regular polish). I appreciated they gave me no issues about having my service animal. The full acrylic set my.niece received was avg quality. They were very thick and greater care could of been taken with the polish. As you can see with pictures. Went in to get my current dip with tips removed and redone over my natural nails that had grown long enough in the growing out process. The man (didn't get his name) didn't soak them off, and instead pried/ripped them off, completely ripping my natural nails underneath off, leaving them thin and with NO length anymore. He passed me on to woman who I told I just wanted them filed so I could leave. I left after the removal and file and now my nails are ruined and they still made me pay for the removal. I wonder if this guy is even licensed considering it did not seem like he knew what he was doing at all. Really bummed and I will not be coming back here, I was literally holding back tears as I left because of how much he ruined my nails. read more
