Horrible service.All the workers looked like they didn't even want to be there. I asked the younger lady with long hair that was doing my pedicure how much were each after tax and she never informed me and when I chose the 27 dollar one it was 42 at the end. Way to expensive never in my life have I paid that much for a pedicure that was done so badly. Both big toes look completely different, she made one round and the other square.I told her to check if I had any ingrown nails because I'm sure I did and she didn't even bother to check. I have gone to Tommy for at least 15 years and he is excellent. My friends sometimes try to get me to go to different salons and there is no way I will ever switch. Tommy always does my nails the way I request and will confirm as he completes them. He is very approachable and easy to talk to. Over the years I have had tips, pink and white, acrylic and now I get Acrylic with no tips with gel color. The quality is excellent. My nails (the acrylic and color) never chip, lift or break. This Salon is very clean, has plenty of parking and there is a Starbucks within walking distance. It is obvious the 1 star reviews are created by the same person with an ax to grind for personal reasons (and making false accounts). I highly recommend this Salon!!! read more

I had a couple decent experiences here last year, and decided to try them again because my normal salon was closed. I needed a fill with gel, and a simple Daisy flower design. The nail tech filed all of my nails unevenly and some were way shorter than the others. The gel application was patchy, and you can still see my last color in areas they didn't remove it properly. What was supposed to be navy blue ended up being bright blue, black, and green in patches. The daisies were messily and quickly applied and some had 15 petals and some had three, all different sizes and shapes. I complained about them, and they just continued. After that, they put the top coat on and smeared the daisies. I pointed out the white and blue streaks all over my nail and they just added a new Daisy on top and didn't redo the nail at all. In the lighting at the nail salon I just decided it was decent enough and I stopped complaining. Coming home and seeing them in the natural light, they are clearly so poorly done. My nails are also already separating from the acrylic after only hours. The top coat is also wearing off and I have stripes of shine coming through. I've been getting acrylics and fills for years and have never had them fall apart so quickly. I wish I could get my money back because I was definitely overcharged for such a terrible job. Now I have to go pay even more to get these removed and redone. Will never return. read more

My husband and I are retired full-time RVers, so I almost never get my nails done at the same place twice. We were staying at an RV Park close to this nail salon, so I decided to check it out. Some of the reviews were not great, but the nail spa was very crowded with people waiting to get service. That is one way in my opinion to judge a nail salon and restaurant. If the locals go to it, it is most likely a reputable salon. They were kind enough to give me an appointment, even though I was last minute. Kelly did my nails and I am thrilled! I showed her a pic of what I wanted. She did my fill, fixed my broken nails and did an awesome job with the polish and design. I do not remember the woman who did my pedi, but my feet are always a mess since I go bare foot whenever possible. When she was done, my feet were baby soft! I have added this nail spa to my contacts, so if and when we come back to Paso Robles I remember where to come. The staff were so kind and friendly. It was a great pleasure doing business with them. Only one note: this is not the place if you are in a hurry. They were super busy and crowded. It took me almost 4 hours for a pedi and a fill. My daughter made an appointment for both of us to get a manicure each. I was taken for mine while my daughter continued to wait. While my daughter was waiting a walk-in came in, waited a few minutes and was taken. I mentioned to the gal helping that my daughter had an appointment. She told me it would be 5 minutes. Twenty minutes later she finished my toes. It was over an hour after our appointment and my daughter was still not taken. We left and will not be back. How terrible to treat a young person this way. Love this place if I have my nails done by the owners. But if one of the other manicurists does them, they're peeling on day 3-4, without fail. I'm not sure what her name is, but she's very sweet, quiet, and appears to do a good job until a few days later when the gel nails start peeling off. I've gone back before to have them fixed and the owners will accommodate and do them over, so at least if you have the spare time to do so, you can do that. I gave her another chance this past week and hoped for some improvement, but I'm back in the same situation as before, which is such a disappointment, considering that I have small children to prioritize over going back to the nail salon within a week to have my nails redone. It's so hard to find the time for self care and even harder to do so twice in less than a week. I would highly recommend making an appointment with the owners if you want to come here. read more

I tried this place maybe 5 or 6 times in the last year because it's the closest salon to my house and they always had availability. Well, they had availability because they overbook and accept too many walk ins. Sometimes I would sit there for 30+ minutes waiting for my appointment and watch more and more people come in for services and no one got turned away. On several occasions the technicians would leave me sitting in the chair to go work on someone else. One time a gal left me for over 20 minutes because she had to fix the girl before me's nails because she was not happy with the work. They don't do any prep to your nails, nothing is sanitary or cleaned, and if you show them a picture of the nails you want they will just do it how they want to do it. I've left unhappy on several occasions. To top it all off, they don't follow their own prices. They charged me upwards of $70 before tip for a basic french tip simply because I like my nails longer. Went to Lily's nail salon and paid $55 before tip for the exact same design and they were actually done well. Please save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for a while but recently their work has been very bad. Their work has gotten very sloppy. On 3 occasions( back to back) the gel polish has been applied very lazily leaving streaks visible after curing, the acrylic was uneven and very noticeable when done, & the shape has been crooked. On my current set of nails, 5 nails broke within the first week. Two broke two days later and were fixed. Then, another 3 different nails broke two days after the first two. When i went in to get the first two nails repaired, the nail technician didn't even match the new shape to the previous shape and they super thick. Instead of asking forthright 3 broken ones to be fixed i asked for a refund, as half of my nails had broken off very easily with little effort. My refund was denied as they don't do that according to them. Never again & what a waste of $50 read more

while waiting 35 minutes after my appointment time, I observed unsanitary condition at this facility. The following includes a few examples: The nail utensils and tools are not cleaned after each use. They are just wiped with paper towels. I observed the same tools used client after clients for manicure and pedicure without adequate sanitation or disinfecting or cleaning. when I ask the technician if they have tools in autoclaved bags, she was yelling at me that they do not have it!!! The most disturbing observations was where the technicians dipping the tools used for callus remover in the pedicure water tube after use and while the client feet were still in the water. They next took the tools and placed them on the stations for the next person, So disturbing. Workstation are covered with nail cuts, nail dust and debris. It appears that the stations are not cleaned at all or even after used. So disgusting! The furniture and essential items are not wiped or cleaned after each client. They are so unsanitary and dirty. Hard to believe that dampened sweaty chairs were used over and over. read more

Brought my 8 yr old here just for a fun quickie pedicure and they did a decent job. I decided last minute to get shellac nails, just paint no full manicure. I think they did an ok job for the price ($20). Staff was friendly, great paint selection and clean inside. I saw that they have a mini fridge with drinks but wasn't offered one, didn't bother me though. I didn't think to ask. I liked that it wasn't busy and we didn't have to wait a long time or felt like they were rushing through the service. I'll probably come back. read more

But I don't really mind. She did fit me in pretty last minuet. And I'm glad she is willing to take her time. The salon isn't the best atmosphere out there, but not bad. Pretty average. The chairs were really comfortable and Vivian was really nice. She made my nails look gorgeous! I wanted to cry with how they looked before. I hated them. She made them exactly how I wanted. One of daughters got gel nails, and her nails look best out of all three; however, the guy used a file to remove her polish which messed up her nailbed. Her nails also hurt under the ultra violet light. Not only that but her polish was glopped on, so her nails and skin were sticking together. 2. The pink they used on my pink and white set is more red. My nails just look "stumpy" and terrible, and my fingers looked very dry and ugly from the chemicals, I guess? I have never been so unhappy with the looks of my nails right after getting them done. 3. My other daughter got her nails and toes painted. We had to sit for them to get repainted, I should have asked her sooner why she was looking upset while her nails were being painted. Her nails looked like a three year old just painted them. 4. I decided I probably would not come back even before the dissatisfaction set in, on the services we received. After one of their "regulars" who mentioned she is there every two weeks, walked out the door I felt like they all began talking about her. I also felt the same when I asked them to fix my daughters polish. I seriously cannot believe the service that was provided here today. I just moved to Paso from L.A. in March and finally needed to find a new nail salon for pedicures after going to the same one in L.A. for 10+ years. I am so glad I found Tips Toes. They are located in the same shopping center as TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond etc. On the same side as Subway, Tack Room etc. I got a pedicure, so I can only review that. Totally fine as a walk in. No wait at all. Very clean. They have OPI and China Glaze and also do Shellac. My feet were in rough shape, so I decided to get a callus removal as well and couldn't be happier about my soft feet. They also give you a sugar scrub and looong foot massage (big bonus) as part of the pedicure. Right now it's $18 for a pedicure although that may go up as it's an opening special. The callus removal was $5 extra. Worth every penny. My new go to place for sure! read more

The woman's entire mood changed negatively when I expressed I didn't want a full pedi- just a color change. Not a big deal just an uncomfortable experience. They charged $25 for a polish change with absolutely nothing extra included in that. Then when we went to pay, the total was $15 more than we had expected. We have always paid the listed prices so we were pretty upset by that. The real issue was when we asked for a receipt for our $113 payment- the man LAUGHED and shook his head at us and said he did not give receipts. When we explained we needed the receipt, he grabbed a piece of paper and wrote "113" on it. Not to mention our pedis look bad and the gel polish is see through. Will NOT be back here! read more

The service was ok, typical for a nail salon, but my nails on the other hand, awful. I walked out feeling like they were alright, a little crooked where he shortened them, and thicker acrylic than I would have preferred. But the worst thing about them... within 2 hours 3 of my nails had bubbled up and the gel ripped right off. 2 hours!!!! Now 3 days later I had to soak off the remaining 2 gel nails I had left and polish them myself. $40 for a manicure that didn't even last a Day.
