The couple of times we've gotten into the salon, the ladies do a decent cut and blowdry, which is why this is getting more than one star. But my gosh, it is DIFFICULT to make an appointment. No one answers the phone. No one calls back - if nothing else, to tell you that your requested date/time isn't available. I've been to strawberry blonde salon twice Jasmine is my hair tech. I'm trying to bleach my hair from brown and gray to white. Jasmine is the best she's very knowledgeable very professional and her personality is sweet as well as her kind disposition. I just love this woman she's so easy to work with. Yesterday she cut and conditioned my hair, she always makes you feel comfortable. The shampoo and deep conditioner came with a few minutes of neck and scalp massage I thought I was gonna fall asleep. Jasmine is wonderful. The salon is clean, friendly and has a very comfortable atmosphere. You must go see Jasmine for all your hair needs. I highly recommend this salon. I went to Alexis at Strawberry Blonde for microblading and my brows look amazing!! I have had them microbladed twice previous to her and within a couple months the ink would fall out... it's been 3 months since my last touch up and they look amazing still! She was very professional and made sure to check up on me during the healing process. She got me in as soon as possible for my touch up and let me know if there was any other spots I felt needed to be touched up she would Take care of it as soon as they were healed. First off- Anna is amazing!! I have only gone to one person in 18 years to do highlights and cuts so I was nervous about going to someone new when I moved. She did an awesome meticulous job very quickly and said to come back if I thought it wasn't the exact shade I wanted. I decided to do something fun and after many years of not going to a salon, I made an appointment. The place is hard to find, fyi, so make sure you know where you're going. When I got there the hairdresser informed me that who ever scheduled the appointment has no idea how long treatments take and didn't schedule enough time for what I wanted. I had rearranged my whole work schedule to get there because I was told the ONLY gal that could do this color was only there two days a week. The hairdresser told me that it would be a complete waste of time and money to get a pink hombre because it would just wash out super fast and basically ruin my hair because of the bleaching. I do appreciate the honesty, but where are all these people, many with dark hair just like mine, getting all their fabulous colors done? I see some amazing looks, but was told it was a lost cause for me, so I decided against it. Then I asked for a deep conditioning with a shine or "gloss" treatment. I was again told it was a complete waste of time and money and would just wash out very quickly. Hmmm. Where are all these ladies with long hair getting their gloss jobs done? So I decided on just a deep conditioning treatment. I came in the following day for this and asked for just a super simple straight blunt cut on the back. I usually just do it at home myself, it's super easy and literally ONE STRAIGHT LINE. It didn't take longer than 5 minutes to cut, she spent more time brushing my hair which was annoying. The "deep condition" didn't look or feel ANY different. My hair was not softer, shinier and I actually get much better results with just a vinegar rinse at home for pennies a wash. The price for this 5 minute cut? $45 plus another $30 to condition it. I walked out $75 later totally flabbergasted I paid that much and really regretting going through with this at all. Poor communication, poor service and a stylist that didn't really seem to know what to do with long dark curly hair. I left in tears. Do yourself a favor and just skip this place. There has to be better options. Find someone who is enthusiastic and inspired and POSITIVE about doing your hair. read more

Thank you! Gustavo saved the day. I had gone to a different Salon in SLO yesterday and received a horrible haircut, quite possibly the worst of my life. It was so bad I cringed every time I looked in the mirror. I wasn't sure it could be salvaged. But I called Strawberry Blonde and they got me in to see Gustavo. He not only fixed what was a terrible, ugly, uneven mess, he turned it into one of the cutest haircuts I've ever had! I'm so grateful! read more
